CHAPTER 109: A TOAST

"You didn’t hear it wrongly. I’m indeed intending on awakening my class."

Newland Krex said as he closed his eyes and began rubbing onto his forehead with his right hand, and shortly after, he opened his eyes and looked directly into Alan’s eyes, then asked with a serious look on his face, "So, let me get this straight. But you are also certain that you are able to awaken your initial class on your own?"

"Well, that sounds about right." Alan said leisurely as he shrugged his shoulders.

"This guy... he doesn’t seem to be lying at all. Furthermore, there’s no point in him lying to me about the fact that he’s able to awaken his initial class on his own... After all, if he were to lie, the truth will come out in just a few days. This means... this guy is actually someone who will be able to possess duo classes!"

Upon seeing that Alan didn’t seem to be lying to him, various thoughts began speeding through Newland Krex’s mind, and shortly after, Newland Krex let out a hearty laugh as he patted multiple times onto Alan’s right shoulder with his right hand, "Hahaha! I expect nothing less from Anna’s big brother! Anna possesses an extremely high affinity with mana, while you are able to awaken your initial class on your own! It seems that once the class awakening ceremony is over, Azure Academy is going to be able to have 2 adventurers with extremely high potentials to them!"

"Here, this is my name card, my phone number is on it. Once you have confirmed the date that you are intending on doing the livestream, just make sure to notify me a day in advance and I will make sure to clear my next day’s schedule completely for you!"

After Newland Krex had handed his name card over to Alan, Newland Krex picked up the rectangular case, then pushed the rectangular case into Alan’s embrace, "I know that you don’t have any use for the gifts that I have prepared for you. But it is not my style to take back things that I have already given away."

Upon seeing that Alan held onto the rectangular case that he shoved into Alan’s embrace, Newland Krex immediately moved his hands away from the rectangular case, then said quickly before Alan was even able to open his mouth to speak, "Look, even if you have no use for them, you can still make use of them by giving them away as gifts to other people. So, if you treat me as a family member of yours, don’t reject my gifts and just keep them already!"

Upon seeing how obstinate Newland Krex was being, Alan let out a sigh as he finally chose to accept Newland Krex’s gifts, "Sigh. Fine, fine, fine. I will keep these gifts that you have prepared for me. Thank you, Newland, I really appreciate it."

Right after Alan finished speaking, he kept the rectangular case into his system storage, then poured a glass of wine and handed the glass over to Newland Krex.

"Here, let us have a toast." Alan said as he handed over the glass of wine to Newland Krex, and right after, he looked over to Sharon, Yura, and Yeon, then continued speaking, "Come on, you guys too. Let’s have a toast together."

Immediately, Sharon picked up her glass, while Yura and Yeon picked up the glass before them that were already filled with wine.

Upon seeing that everyone was ready for a toast, Alan raised his glass high, then said with a smile, "A toast to us and the future to come."

"A toast to us and the future to come." Right as Alan finished speaking, Newland Krex raised his glass toward Alan and repeated what Alan just said, then clinked his glass onto Alan’s glass.

"Clink!"

Right after the sound of a clink rang out, everyone began drinking all of the wine that was in their glass in one shot.

"Alright, I should leave you guys to yourselves and take my leave already." After placing his empty glass onto the table, Newland Krex said toward Alan.

And right before Newland Krex walked out from the private room’s door, Newland Krex turned around and shouted out at Alan while making a phone call sign with his right hand, "Alan! Remember! Give me a call a day before you are intending on doing that livestream of yours, so that I can clear my schedule beforehand!"

And upon seeing Alan gave him a nod while waving at him, Newland Krex left the private room while with a satisfied smile on his face.

Not long after the private room’s door was closed, while everyone was seated in their seats, Yura could be seen moving her seat until her seat was right next to Alan’s seat, then hugged onto Alan’s left arm and leaned onto Alan’s left shoulder and said while with a sleepy look on her face, "Alan, I think I have drank..."

However, before Yura had even finished speaking, her body could be seen collapsing powerlessly onto Alan’s body.

Immediately, Alan held onto Yura’s waist and prevented Yura’s body from slipping off from her seat and falling onto the floor.

Meanwhile, shortly after Yura lost consciousness, a thump sound could be heard ringing out.

"Thump!"

And looking at the source of the sound, Yeon could be seen to have fallen powerlessly onto the floor.

Evidently, the drug that was mixed into the wine that both Yeon and Yura had drank during the toast had finally started taking effect.
