CHAPTER 121: TRAVERSE AND BARRIERS

While hugging onto Alan’s left arm, Sharon looked at Alan’s face while with her eyes full of curiosity, then asked with her lips pouted, "Hey, Alan! Aren’t you going to explain to me just what is going on? What did you do to that guy? Is he actually really still alive, or...?"

"Hmm... How do I explain this...? Since you come from one of the top 3 middle-ranking families, you should be aware of the fact that there is another world aside from our world, right?" While speaking, Alan stored the blood-soaked bedsheet into his system’s storage, then removed his left arm from Sharon’s embrace and placed his left arm onto Sharon’s waist.

The moment Alan held onto Sharon’s waist with his left arm, Alan began walking toward the wardrobe, intending to grab bathrobes and towels from the wardrobe before entering into the bathroom.

"Yeah, sure, I know that SS rank dungeons and SSS rank dungeons are dungeons that connect other worlds to our world. Although, from what I heard from my father, there aren’t much information that are known about the other worlds so far, mainly due to the fact that exploration of the other worlds is something that is extremely difficult to do so. After all, the adventurers that are from the other worlds are much stronger than the adventurers from our worlds."

"It is fortunate that the adventurers from the other worlds aren’t able to traverse to our world. I heard that there are some sorts of barriers within the SS and SSS rank dungeons that prevent the other worlds’ adventurers from being able to traverse to our world. Although, recently, since a year ago, there have been rumors floating around that the barriers won’t be able to last for much longer."

"It is rumored that, at most, within two or three years, the barriers will cease to stop working. Which is why the Adventurers’ Federation and adventurer academies have been trying very hard to help adventurers level up and become stronger by creating more tournaments and making most of the dungeons free to enter for adventurers since the start of this year."

Upon hearing what Sharon said, Alan couldn’t help but frown his brows as he thought to himself as he opened the wardrobe and took out two bathrobes and two towels from the wardrobe, "Other worlds...? So, there’s not only just one world that is connected to this world...? And the barriers that are preventing the people from the other worlds to traverse over to this world are about to cease to stop working in two or three years’ time...? This is a little worrying... I wonder if I will be able to even reach level 50 within two years’ time..."

Unbeknownst as to what was currently going through Alan’s mind, Sharon continued on speaking.

"Whether that rumor is true or not, that is not something that I can say for sure, but personally, I feel that the rumor seems to be true."

"After all, it is indeed a fact that, since the start of this year, the Adventurers’ Federation and various adventurer academies have been holding a lot of tournaments, seemingly trying to encourage adventurers to get stronger by doing so. Just the number of tournaments that have been held within this year alone are more than the number of tournaments that have been held within the past 3 years. Furthermore, the prizes that can be obtained from the current tournaments are so much better compared to the prizes that could be obtained from the tournaments that were held in the past years."

"As for the dungeons being made free to enter for all adventurers? Even if you beat me to death, I wouldn’t ever believe that the Adventurers’ Association and those various adventurer academies would be so charitable as to make their dungeons become free for all adventurer to enter without any reason. There must definitely be a reason as to why they would be willing to do such a thing like that!"

Right when Sharon was busy blabbering on and on by herself, when she noticed that Alan had led her over into the bathroom, her eyes immediately opened wide as she looked over to Alan, "Hmm...? Wait a moment... Why did you bring me into the bathroom with you? Don’t tell me, you are intending to have me take a shower together with you?!"

After hanging the towels and bathrobes on the towel rack, Alan looked over to Sharon and said teasingly with a wry smile on his face as he began unbuttoning the buttons on his shirt, "What’s wrong with taking a shower together? Don’t tell me you are embarrassed of being naked in front of me, even though you were so enthusiastic about having sex with me just a while ago...?"

"Who... who says that I am embarrassed! I... I was merely startled, that’s all! And what do you mean that I was enthusiastic about having sex with you?! That’s slander! Slander!" Upon hearing what Alan said, seemingly just like a cat who had its tail stepped onto, Sharon immediately crossed her arms and began speaking hurriedly while with a slight frown on her face.

However, looking at how red Sharon’s face was turning while she was speaking, it was evident that Sharon wasn’t feeling very calm right now.

"Is that so? Then what are you so flustered for? Look at your face, it turned so red so quickly." Alan said teasingly as he hang the shirt he had just taken off onto the towel rack.

Upon hearing what Alan said, Sharon quickly walked over to the mirror to take a look at her face, and just as Alan had said, her face was indeed visibly flushed red right now.

Seemingly to feel embarrassed about the fact that her face has turned so red, in order to cover the fact that she was feeling embarrassed, Sharon began taking off her top and bottom quickly, then walked over to the front of Alan.

Upon arriving at the front of Alan, Sharon raised her chin up high and said proudly, "Look, who said that I’m embarrassed!"
