CHAPTER 48: CHANCING UPON A PECULIAR PLACE

"Can’t I be both?" looking at the middle-aged man’s face clearly looking forward to something, Azrael replies with a peculiar smile on his face, his reply catching the store owner off-guard, a proof to that said man’s eyes growing wide as he heard that, before he exploded into an amused laughter once more.

"Indeed, indeed! Hahahaha, why can one not be both a lunatic and a genius at the same time!! You’re really one hell of a unique kid, aren’t you?" the store owner said after he recovered from his laughter, moving close to the young man to pat him on the shoulders just because he feels like so, his action prompting the smile on the young man’s face to grow bigger as well.

Talking for a little bit more, Azrael finally bid farewell to the store owner, deciding to go outside once again as it will still take quite some time for the last few items on his order to arrive.

A peculiar and unique black light creates a striking arc as the thing emitting it moves, this glowing arc leaving the air just a moment later as if it was never there in the first place, and in its place, blood roses bloom as multiple monster heads fall as they got separated from their bodies.

Looking at multiple dead bodies falling onto the ground with their blood forming a puddle underneath them, a young man couldn’t help but whistle in clear satisfaction as he looks at the sword in his hand, this sword an odd-looking, pure black sword exuding a terrifying murderous intent that seems to scare most of the weaker monster in the surroundings.

"Time for some harvest again~" approaching one of the dead monsters, the sword-wielding young man said as he stabs the weapon in his hand right in the heart of this monster, the weapon acting oddly to any outsider’s view as it starts vibrating the moment it pierced through the carcass’ bloody flesh, before the entire body starts shriveling as if something is sucking it dry.

This peculiar phenomenon is not only happening to this carcass where the sword is stabbed, but also all the other dead monsters in the area, with all of them having their remaining life force silently flowing towards the black sword still in the young man’s hand.

"Damn, Evil Fang, you’re growing quite fast, aren’t you?" looking at the sword in his hand, the young man then said with a hint of joy in his voice, every little improvement of this weapon being a direct improvement to himself as well hence him looking forward to it improving more and more, after all, he already hit the limit of growth for the second floor of the tower.

"It’s still early, let’s try if you can level up one more time before the day ends" feeling quite hopeful as he felt like monsters are flocking towards him more and more, the young man then decided by himself, planning to make good use of this phenomenon to improve himself further in preparation for challenging the main quest of the second floor.

"Holy... I reached so far hunting for monsters huh..." finally having a chance to take a look at the surroundings, the young man couldn’t help but feel surprise as he just got too absorbed continuously fighting against monsters, improving not only his own strength but also his combat experience, the fact that he felt that he had never explored this part of the second floor making him curious of the place.

"I was initially just planning to spend some time hunting before the last items on the list arrives, but who would’ve guessed that I will somehow chance upon such an interesting place like this..." feeling the life force in the surroundings being weirdly high in concentration, the young man, Azrael, couldn’t help but wonder whether he should take his time to explore the mysteries of this place.

"Whatever, the boss will definitely keep the item for me anyways, I should try my luck on this place" feeling the Evil Fang Sword in his hand clearly trembling from the dense life force surrounding this location, Azrael then decided, feeling like there will be nothing but benefit if he were to explore around this place, a proof to that the fact that while slow, the Evil Fang Sword is clearly growing stronger and stronger by the second.
