CHAPTER 72: DON’T DIE OUT THERE

’Ten percent increase in the limits... not to mention it’s a permanent increase...’ as he mulled over the absurdity of these two techniques, Azrael, only now noticed that it is already dark outside, prompting him to prepare to go to the middle-aged store owner’s establishment to check for his remaining order.

As he starts preparing himself, he also checks the other two techniques that the enigmatic beauty gave him; these two, while paling in comparison to the three S-Grade techniques, are still something in a league of their own when compared to skills and even abilities of the same rank.

[Endless Path Movement Art (A-Grade Technique)]

[Use the entire surroundings, no matter how complicated it is to one’s own advantage, create a path where there’s none, remove the path that once was, use the technique to dominate the flow of the battle and tilt it to one’s favor.]

[Effects: Grants the ability to improve control over the body, particularly the lower body to improve a practitioner’s footwork. Drastically improves explosive speed when using this technique.]

[Mastery: Entry-level (Allows the practitioner to walk on any surface with ease, except for air. Allows the user to generate a platform in the air made with Immortal Energy; this method consumes Immortal Energy ten times the normal consumption when creating a single platform.]

[Requirement/s to reach the next level of mastery: Step into the air by condensing Immortal Energy platform one hundred times.]

[Consumption: 10 Immortal Energy per minute]

[Note: The rate of consumption will decrease with the increase of the technique’s mastery.]

[Myriad Transformation Sword (A-Grade Technique)]

[With the sword in hand, one is capable of turning into all kinds of things, using the sword with the grace of an Immortal, the wrath of an Asura, the mercy of a Buddha, the only thing limiting the use of the sword being the practitioner’s mind, use the technique to create an unreadable momentum with the sword and drive enemy to defeat depending on how one sees it.]

[Effects: Increase all sword-related damage twice, perfectly imitate any sword-related skills and techniques by looking at it just once, as long as the grade of the target skill or technique is not higher than this technique’s grade. Grants the ability to consume a practitioner-designated amount of Immortal Energy in a single strike; the power of the attack is multiplied.]

[Requirement/s to reach the next level of mastery: Overwhelm one hundred enemies by using this sword technique]

[Consumption: 10 Immortal Energy per minute]

[Note: The rate of consumption will decrease with the increase of the technique’s mastery.]

"These are one hell of a great addition in combat" Azrael said with a satisfied smile on his face as he finally looked at himself in the mirror, nodding in satisfaction, seeing that everything is perfect, smiling as he praises himself in the mirror before turning around to head outside.

"I’m heading out now!" he announced, already used to informing before leaving and after arriving back home despite not a single soul living with him in this dilapidated apartment of his, smiling after announcing his departure and closing the door of his residence.

Given that it is night now, there are a lot of ascenders who are coming back from outside, with most of them bringing their harvest in tow, showing just how precious a spatial storage is, this sight of thousands if not tens of thousands of people one will encounter on the street bringing back with them bones, flesh or hide of massive monsters something quite comedic yet impressive at the same time.

While he chooses not to concern himself with the other ascenders, Azrael then headed towards the establishment that has been his most trusted place in the second floor, his body bringing him there as despite his short stay in this city, he is already so used to going there that his feet drag him to the place without him even noticing.

"Kid, your things are here..." seeing the familiar face that earns him tons of money within the short span of a single week, allowing him to have income that he would normally only earn after months of hard work, signifying the value of this young man to him.

’Given his growth though, I don’t think he’s going to stay in this floor any longer...’ recalling the list of items he wants for his exploration though, the middle-aged store owner realizes that this young man might be planning to conquer the second floor main quest already, and knowing his nature, after completing multiple high value trades with him, the store owner knows that there’s no way this customer of his will do such thing if he’s not confidence of it.

Hearing the good news from the middle-aged man, Azrael smiles as he moves into the establishment, following behind the store owner who also has a smile on his face.

"Now I won’t ask where you got the audacity to challenge the second floor main quest when you’re just a little bit more than a week here, but let me tell you something, kid..." telling him that he is well aware of the young man’s goal, the store owner said, pausing for a while as he looks seriously at the young man before he advised.

"Sometimes, it is not the powerful and transcendent monsters that ascenders like you need to worry about... Don’t die out there, kid..." the man said with a serious, warning tone in his voice prompting the young man to turn serious as well, his face returning to its calm and composed, slightly grinning one previously as while he is aware of this fact, he is confident that compared to other ascenders of the same floor, he needs to worry more about the monsters he needs to take down.

However, he truly appreciates the reminder of the store owner, hence the reason why he doesn’t voice out such thoughts and just opts to smile and thank him for the words, grabbing the spatial ring storing his other order handed to him by the store owner, keeping it without even inspecting before he replies.

"Thank you, boss, don’t worry, I won’t die out there, I still need to bankrupt your shop by selling the things I will harvest from the main quest target" Azrael jokingly said as he moves towards the door of the establishment, his words garnering an explosive laughter from the store owner.

"HAHAHA!!! Then I’d better prepare some funds to accommodate such a huge deal!" the man said as he watched this young ascender leave his shop, uncertain if it was the last time he would see him or not.
