CHAPTER 81: SECOND FLOOR’S MAIN QUEST

"Boy... is this some sort of joke you’re pulling on me?" reading the information of the Meditation Harmonizing Method in front of her, not hers but rather Azrael’s, Xue Qingyue, who thought that this young man could no longer surprise him anymore, immediately takes back such thought in her mind.

"Is it really that surprising, I am the creator of the technique so at the very least my own mastery should start at a higher level than others who just learned of it, right?" giving a sound logic to answer the ethereal beauty’s question, Azrael said with a matter of factly tone that made the knowledgeable lady shake her head, after all, while it might be true in some case, it is not to such an extent.

’Well, whatever, the faster he grows the earlier he can help me, and besides, it’s not like this will affect him negatively, so all is good’ she thought to herself in comfort, only now understanding that she shouldn’t go and try to use the conventional to measure him.

"It is, well, you will know how much of an absurd thing that is eventually, so I won’t tell it to you now, it won’t affect you anyways" she replied after she composed her thoughts, flashing her signature charming smile that took him by quite the surprise, his heart skipping some few beats before it begins calming itself.

"Hmm? Looks like it is time for you to go already, boy, see you again later~~~" feeling something before the young man could even speak, Xue Qingyue notifies Azrael of his departure, the young man only detecting something a bit later than her allowing her to confirm what she just told him previously, that he will know if it is time for him to leave this place for a day.

Without him even being able to bid farewell, darkness surrounds everything around him once again, a familiar feeling that also happened when he first entered the Immortal Realm, waiting for a few moments before his senses start returning to him once again.

After seeing the familiar ceiling, much to his disdain, still stain-filled no matter how many times he tries to clean it up, an intriguing mystery in itself, the first thing he does is open the guide once again, checking the progress he made for the night.

"One night... one night is all it took for me to increase my Immortal Energy by ten times is previous amount, hahaha’ looking at the numbers in front of him, Azrael starts smiling at himself as he felt like this is just something out of a wet dream, his strength increasing like this and exceeding beyond the limit of what anyone can achieve on the second floor.

After feeling like he should celebrate for a while, he then stood up as he reheats the food he just cooked the last night, devouring everything with joy before he starts cleaning himself up for a good while and preparing himself for the day, donning his usual attire and equipment despite the huge task that he is about to try accomplishing outside.

"I’ll try to return by next week" he announced as he reached the door to his little apartment, taking a good few moments to look at this place before he closed the door as he stepped outside, the warm rays of the sun hitting his face as he did so.

Not intending to bother his sole acquaintance in the second floor with nonsense of going somewhere far away, especially said acquaintance is already aware of this fact that he himself deduced the night before, Azrael headed directly to the towering gate separating the safe city and the dangerous outside, the smile on his face apparent as he feels quite excited, wondering what sort of monster the boss of the second floor is.

As he wonders about this, it is also only now that he decided to check the description of the second floor’s main quest, something that wouldn’t make sense no matter what sort of ascender someone is, after all, it is the main adversity that one will have to triumph over should they want to ascend to higher floors, the only ones not bothering to check such quest as soon as possible are people who accepts their fate and decides to just settle on the current floor they are on.

[The Lord of the Oceans (Second Floor Main Quest)]

[The Island Orca, an invasive species of the ocean are experts of their hunt, proving to be the sole king of the ocean with their immense strength, not to mention their titanic bodies rendering them practically immune to any sort of attack there is. This species of monster reproduces fast and lets one of their descendants out of the world when there are too many of them.

Now finding itself on one of the lower floors of the tower, this Island Orca completely dominates the entire place and starts bringing destruction to the delicate balance of the ecosystem here, devouring anything it wants and destroying everything in its path.]

[Mission/s: Subjugate the Lost Island Orca through every means possible.]

[Rewards: Completely depending on the contribution of the ascender to the quest. Grants the right to ascension to the tower’s third floor to all participating ascender in the subjugation.]

"I should be prepared to fight against this boss monster already" reading everything, Azrael thought to himself with confidence as he recalls how much he can break past the limits of the second floor right now.
