Chapter 215: Conjurer’s Blade

He shook his head at the next moment, “But this can hardly be called a favor, after all, you’re buying weapons from me, not demanding them for free. As for the thing about favor. I already have a sword created for you.”

Enrick was stunned, “You already have a sword created for me?”

Axel chuckled, “You were the one who said it casually back then, remember?”

Enrick had an understanding expression, “Well, I did mention casually without saying anything specific.”

“Don’t worry, you’ll definitely like the sword, I can assure you that. But have you brought enough money for that many runic weapons?” asked Axel.

Enrick was a bit taken aback by the question and stated, “Well, I do have enough with me, considering 50 mana crystals for each 300 runic weapons.”

Axel hummed thoughtfully, “You do know that the relative value of mana crystals here in the academy is much higher, but in actuality, in the outside world, each mana crystal’s value is much, much lower, considering its abundance.”

“So, to make calculations easier, the academy produces a very short supply of magic crystals here, making them valued much higher. Especially since the cashflow of mana crystals is more than enough for all the 1st and 2nd phase Seekers’ usage.”

“If not for that, my runic weapons, every single one, would be valued at 10-20 times more than the current price.”

Enrick visibly winced and nodded, “Of course, I know, 50 mana crystals are nothing for your rune weapons’ true value, but Runecaster Axel…”

“Oh, don’t worry, I won’t increase the price; it’s 50 mana crystals per rune-etched tool.” Axel cut him off, “And for the last time, just call me Axel.”

Enrick sighed and nodded, “But you do know that we don’t need just sword-type weapons, but all sorts.”

“Oh, I know, and since I couldn’t hold another weapon selling event after what happened with that trash Taser, I have more than enough weapons to cover one section’s members at least. And since everyone in my section already has the runic weapons. You can select from the pile I have left.” Axel revealed.

He then extended his hand forward and commanded Prime Nexus internally, [Send him the information about all the runic weapons in the first ring.]

Enrick shook his hand, and both of their Nexus runes that were imprinted on the back of their hands glowed for a moment and became visible. The information was transferred directly to Enrick’s mind through forming a connection between their two Nexus Runes.

Enrick’s eyes widened as Prime Nexus displayed the quantity and types of weapons that Axel had in his space ring. The gray texts showed –

[350 Archon Grade Tier-1 Battle-oriented Rune Weapons, Quality – Rare.]

More details followed,

[120 Long-range weapons, Archery type, in different configurations.]

[230 Close Combat weapons of various categories, including Swords, Sabers, Spears, Blades, Daggers.]

As he inspected the details of the weapon types, their boosts, and capabilities, his eyes widened further in an expected surprise. He admitted to Axel in all honesty, “I genuinely have to admit, it won’t take long until you’re the best runecaster in all of humanity.”

Axel studied him for a moment, and the prince didn’t say it simply for flattery; he truly did mean it. So, he replied with a smile, “Well, then, shall we make the transfer?”

“And I presume you want the 50 extra ones as well?” he asked.

Enrick extended his hand forward, nodding. Axel grabbed his hand again, as their Nexus runes glowed, with a command from Enrick, Prime Nexus transferred 17500 mana crystals from his space ring to Axel’s.

Axel also commanded Prime Nexus to transfer 350 runic weapons to Enrick’s storage. Enrick smiled and said gratefully, “You have no idea how much this means to me, sigh. Thank you.”

Axel waved his hand dismissively. “You’re overthinking, and just in case, let me say this, but I hope you don’t believe that this alone will be enough to get you a win.”

Enrick shook his head sadly, “Oh, I know it won’t. And even if we did win, won’t my section have to face yours in the end?”

He nodded, “That’s right, I hope you don’t depend too much on the rune tools for that matter, after all. A tool is only as great as its wielder.”

Enrick nodded, “Obviously, you don’t think so little of me, do you?”

“Oh, course not, and I am not saying all these for the weapons you just brought.” he paused, then, with a dramatic gesture, a light green sword appeared in his hand.

He held it forward towards Enrick, asking him to take it. Enrick could not help but be shocked for a moment by the power radiating from it. It was extremely powerful, that’s for sure. Mana seems to be congregating around the sword. There were white marks in it, intertwined with the green color. There were multiple Golden runes drawn in it.

He felt a sense of familiarity towards the sword. He took a step closer and looked at Axel, and the latter stated, “Yes, it’s for your conjurer aspect. Take it.”

With some hesitation, he picked up the sword, and a familiar string of notifications flashed through his eyes, asking if he would like to bind the artifact. He agreed, and the artifact bound with him. As Prime Nexus showed him the stats of the sword, his jaw hung loose in pure shock.

Axel chuckled, seeing his reaction, “This is why I said, not to depend too much on my tools.”

After that, he left the place, while Enrick continued to stare at the tool’s stats. It was only when Axel left that he broke out of his shock. He stared into the distance where he had disappeared, and shook his head with a heavy mood. He uttered to himself, “And this is only [Epic] for him? What sort of monstrosity of a tool would it require for him to label it as [Unique]?

That’s right, even within a single tier of a weapon, it can be categorized into one of the four levels – Common, Rare, Epic, Unique.

From beginning to end, each is progressively and significantly better. The reason Axel’s weapons are so special, aside from their Excellent quality. First of all, the academy doesn’t sell any rune tools to the students, especially battle-oriented ones.

And Runecasters at this level usually should not even be able to make proper usable weapons for other Seekers. No wonder even the academy professors value him so highly. And gives him so many extra benefits to boot.

He sighed to himself, going back with a grim expression on his face. After that terrifying display of overwhelming might by the members of the Gold Section, he didn’t know how they could even tackle them, considering they do win their rounds against Section B.

He shook his head in derision. Here, he sought help from one of the key individuals in the Gold Section to gain a significant advantage in their fight against Section B, and now he was thinking of how to beat that very section. How foolish of him. But…even if it was irrational, he didn’t care. They are going to give it their all, whether against Section B or in the finals, fighting against the Gold Section.

Sorry for the late guys….
