Chapter 259: I missed you…

All this time, she had only been defending and diverting his attacks without attacking him in the slightest. But, now, for the first time since the beginning of that one-sided fight, she took a step forward, flicked away one of the swords flying at her, which Axel was controlling with his mana. It flew away to the farthest corner of the hall and got pinned to the wall at a supersonic speed. Cracks also spread through the body of the sword.

The same happened with the other sword flying at her; then she grabbed both of his wrists, abruptly speeding forward, while Axel still held the two different swords in his hands. He struggled with all his might, but was unable even to make his hands budge. With no other choice, he gritted his teeth and smashed his head against hers. Axel felt like he had hit a surface of solid diamond. His head became utterly bloody; there was also blood on Sophia’s head, but it was likely his blood.

Her expression remained still that of contempt. Sophia then clenched both of her hands, as the audible sound of two bones breaking resounded in the hall. Axel groaned loudly, his head felt as if it would split apart from the pain, and now his hands broke as well. He gnashed his teeth in fury, trying to kick Sophia in the stomach, but her legs moved faster than his own. His right leg almost broke again from the impact; her body was just too strong.

She uttered in a chilling tone, “Stand down, final warning.” All of her bloodlust concentrated on the bloody and battered figure of Axel. But he became more furious at that point; he declared, “I will not.”

Sophia’s hand trembled, her expression turned ugly, and she kicked him in the chest, which sent him flying 20 meters away; his body loudly crashed into the wall. The wall was painted red, both of his hands and one leg were broken, he coughed up a mouthful of blood, and crimson tears fell from his eyes. Most of the ribcages were cracked, his lungs and heart barely functioning after that powerful strike from the valkyrie. All of his internals were a mess, but his hands still held onto both of the swords.

Since he had used all the active attributes of all five rune tools, the backlash of that started to hammer down on his soul. For the fourth time, he was smelling the scent of death approaching closer and closer. His demon blood worked on full power in the passive form, keeping his insides barely functioning.

Sophia kept looking at him, disdain still evident on his face. She uttered, “Drink a potion and get lost. Never enter this hall again.”

Axel gazed deep into her eyes, the profound sadness overflowing from his eyes, and he showed a sad smile; his white teeth were all covered in blood. Sophia turned around and decided to leave, unable to remain there anymore. With both of Axel’s broken hands, he held the torn light sword. Pointing the tip towards his own heart.

If a sword made of the light element were to pierce his heart, even the demon bloodline would not be able to continue to make it function forcefully anymore. Sophia stopped in her tracks, despite not looking in this way. Axel said to her in a defeated tone, a man who had accepted his wretched fate, “Then I would rather die than continue to live like this. I would rather die and go to hell than give up on you and continue living.”

With an absolute resolution just as he was about to shove the Torn Light sword right through his heart, Sophia appeared right in front of him, as she had teleported, her hands holding back the sword from piercing his chest. Axel pulled it with all his might, but he was unable to make the sword budge in the slightest with his broken hands, which he was barely able to move.

Sophia took away the sword forcefully and broke it apart. Her expression twisted into a grimace, and her beautiful, divine face was scrunched up. She dropped to her knees and roared in rage,

“YOU DARE??????????????”

She slapped his cheeks, she slapped him again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, but there was barely enough strength behind her slaps; it was as gentle as a loving tap. She stated in a choking voice,

“Why must you always be so damn difficult? Why can’t you understand?”

Axel grabbed her hand, stopping her from the repeated motion of slapping. Her hands were as soft as marshmallows at this moment, and tears started to fall from Sophia’s eyes as if a dam had broken. She hurriedly brought out a vial of golden colored potion, seeing his deteriorating condition. Opened its lid and fed him the contents immediately. Axel also did not resist and let her do as she pleased.

He gulped down the potion but kept his eyes locked on hers, as if he were afraid that she might run away. That potion was one of the life-saving potions given to her by the king himself, as it was something like a royal treasure previously kept in the royal vault of the Suncrest Great Kingdom. In just five seconds, his body had completely healed, but the backlashes from using each of the runic tools remained the same. He still felt significantly weakened, but that was the least of his concerns at this moment.

Axel used a bit of his mana and evaporated all the blood sticking to his body, the floor, and her. Sophia bit her lip hard enough that blood started to come out; tears continued to fall from her eyes. The uncaring, expressionless, number one divine beauty —the ever-so-stoic summoned heroine, the future savior of humanity — was nowhere to be seen at that moment. She only felt like a helpless little girl.

She placed both of her hands on Axel’s chest. She muttered like a broken machine repeatedly, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry………. I didn’t mean to do this, I didn’t want to hurt, I didn’t, I didn’t, I….. ”

“But I had no choice, if they know that you…”

Her words became inaudible from the sound of her sobbing like a child, and tears also trickled down Axel’s cheeks as too many emotions were intertwined like a complicated spiderweb, leaving him helpless and unable to express any of them adequately.

But he took in that sight of her beautiful visage with every ounce of his attention, her helpless and vulnerable expression, her lovely face, her exuding charm that was trying to influence him, encroach on his mind. At this moment, he finally stopped resisting it; he embraced the deep and dark obsession that was hidden in his heart. His only obsession.

Leaning forward, Axel placed his hands on both of her cheeks. She put a finger on her cherry-red lips and removed the blood from it. For a moment, she was utterly stupefied by that gesture of his; she stopped biting her lips. When she gazed into those ever-so-familiar ocean blue eyes, which looked at her with boundless longing, she let herself be lost. Axel also lost himself in the violence contained deep in those scarlet red eyes.

Looking at that ungodly beautiful face, Axel swallowed hard; he had the uncontrollable urge to put his lips on hers and taste them, as she was also staring at his own lips. But he would not do such a thing, because his obsession went much deeper than just a physical lust. His gaze became even softer, filled with bittersweet longing, as he stated,

“I missed you…”

Her eyes became unfocused, her sight blurry from the tears. Embracing him in a loving hug, sitting on his lap, she whispered in a trembling voice directly into his ears a highly possessive longing evident in her tone,

“I missed you more….Tyler.”

He also embraced her firmly, being called by his original name like that after a long, long time. Both of them were in such close contact as if they wanted to melt into each other. Axel felt her warmth spreading to him; her body was so soft that it felt unreal. Both of his hands were on her thin waist. As his hands moved through her back, her body trembled slightly.

Axel held her waist tightly and pulled her closer. Only their clothes barely managed to separate the two inseparable souls who were fated to be together. Putting his head deeper on her neck, her black silky hair touching his face. He inhaled the mind-boggling fragrance radiating from her charming figure. As his obsession reached its absolute peak, he growled in his mind like a demonic beast overflowing with obsessive lust, almost like marking his territory, ‘Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE.’
