Fairy Tail: I Don't Want to Be the Guild Master
Chapter 581: Rustyrose and Caprico
CHAPTER 581: RUSTYROSE AND CAPRICO
"Damn it, it’s endless!" Gray punched down the enemy in front of him. "How long until I can meet up with everyone if this keeps up?"
There were so many enemies that Gray had to carefully manage his magic power to avoid being overwhelmed by their numbers.
"I’m more worried about Lucy, but she should have already returned to the camp, right?" Loke actually wanted to go directly to Lucy, but with so many enemies, he couldn’t just abandon Gray.
Lucy was with Mest, and even if they were surrounded, Mest’s magic should theoretically be able to help them escape.
Boom!
A loud bang came from afar, attracting the attention of both sides.
Gray and Loke looked over, and a conspicuous firelight lit up in the forest.
"Is that Natsu?" Although the color of the flame wasn’t quite right, Gray felt that the sensation of this flame was Natsu.
It was really hell, he, an Ice Earth Magic user, actually felt familiar with flames.
Thinking about this, Gray felt a pang of discomfort.
Loke said, "Let’s go take a look first."
The two changed their direction of advance slightly, fighting with increasing vigor, quickly heading towards the direction of the flames.
However, they didn’t expect that the first person they met wasn’t Natsu.
Loke exclaimed, "Evergreen, Juvia, and Lisanna?"
Everyone also saw him and Gray. Elfman complained, "Loke, you only have women in your eyes, don’t you?"
"Hahahaha," Loke laughed. "Just kidding."
Juvia had already stuck to him. "Gray- sama, are you alright? Juvia was so worried!"
"Juvia, Lisanna," Gray didn’t push her away immediately, but instead looked at her and Lisanna’s injuries. "How did you get so hurt?"
"Ah, Gray’s concern," Juvia immediately felt that getting a little hurt was nothing.
Lisanna explained, "We encountered two powerful guys earlier."
"Fairy Machine Gun: Pixie!" Evergreen unleashed dozens of magic light bullets, instantly knocking down a large group of enemies.
"You guys, the battle isn’t over yet!"
Gray stretched his wrist and smiled. "You’re right, let’s talk later."
After reuniting with their companions, they immediately felt much more relaxed. Even though the enemies were still swarming, they didn’t feel much to worry about.
The six of them fought with the enemies again.
As they fought, Loke suddenly said, "It shouldn’t be just us who encountered so many enemies, right?"
"Of course, this kind of scene clearly indicates an all-out war." Gray thought for a moment and said, "If you’re worried about Lucy, you can just go directly to her."
Loke could directly return to the Star Spirit World, and even if Lucy didn’t summon him, he could appear directly by Lucy’s side with his own power.
Loke, however, said, "That’s not what I mean. I mean, when you see this kind of enemy that wins by numbers, who does it remind you of?"
Elfman and Lisanna: "Brother-in-law?" × 2
Juvia: "Mr. Rhodes!"
"Rhodes!" × 2
Gray and Evergreen’s tones were filled with anticipation and inexplicable fear, respectively.
"It’s him!" Loke said. "If Rhodes also encountered many enemies, then he would definitely think of everyone’s situation, then..."
Before he could finish speaking, the rear of the enemy’s formation suddenly fell into chaos.
"What is that?!"
"Bugs?"
"So big! So many! So disgusting!"
A large group of blue-purple Voidmites came hopping and jumping, pouncing on Grimoire Heart soldiers and biting them.
The soldiers frantically organized their resistance, but these Worms seemed endless, continuously hopping over from afar.
The numerical advantage quickly shifted from Grimoire Heart to Fairy Tail.
Rhodes himself did not appear; this group of Voidmites was not specifically sent by him to this side.
He merely hid three Void grubs, letting them continuously produce Voidmites, which then randomly rushed in various directions.
Due to the limited intelligence of the Voidmites, Rhodes could only have the Voidgrubs convey the command: the target of attack is anyone without a Fairy Tail emblem on them.
So Loke was bitten twice when he wasn’t paying attention, and they only let go after he tore his shirt and revealed the green emblem on his back.
Most of the others didn’t have this problem, as the weather on the island was hot, and their emblems were mostly exposed.
"Is that guy doing this on purpose?" Loke always felt that Rhodes wanted to pick a fight with him.
Gray gloated, "It’s an accident, it’s all because you wear too many clothes."
Loke looked at Gray’s large trousers and nodded. "Very convincing."
"As expected, you can’t deal with these people. Retreat." A goat-man in a black tuxedo and sunglasses suddenly appeared at the edge of the battlefield.
He clapped his hands lightly, and white light emanated from the soldiers on the battlefield. Then they all disappeared.
"Disappeared?"
"What’s going on?"
"Goat?"
Except for Loke, whose expression changed, everyone else was a bit confused.
At this moment, another voice came from another direction, speaking in a slightly chanting tone:
"Even though we took different paths, we meet here. Is this fate’s arrangement? Capricorn, heaven wants you and I to bury the fairies together!"
Evergreen turned her head to look. "Who is it again?"
"This is Rustyrose, one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory!"
Elfman had met Rustyrose once and had a deep impression of him.
His gaze fell on Rustyrose’s left arm; the drawing didn’t show a prosthetic limb.
Lisanna looked at Capricorn. "Seven Kin of Purgatory? So that goat is one too?"
It should be said that they were indeed siblings; one glance and one sentence, and they each angered a member of the Seven Kin of Purgatory.
Capricorn hated his goat-like appearance, and Rustyrose was unwilling to accept that his left arm had been replaced with a prosthetic limb. "I’m enough, Rustyrose." Capricorn adjusted his sunglasses.
"That won’t do. At least one person I need to deal with for Zancrow." Rustyrose hadn’t received any news about the Fairy Strategist, and now that he encountered the Beast King, he didn’t want to miss it.
Although Zancrow had specifically requested this prey, he also had a part in the last mission.
The two stood in different directions, expressing their disdain for Fairy Tail with cool stances.
But they wouldn’t be able to hold their poses for long.
Because the Voidmites suddenly lost their targets, they immediately turned their attention to these two newcomers.
The blue-purple Worms swarmed in groups, rushing towards Rustyrose and Capricorn in a chaotic mass.
"..." Capricorn somewhat regretted sending his subordinates away.
Now, if he summoned them back, would it seem a bit strange?
Rustyrose probably had the same thought and glanced at Capricorn. This guy always put on a serious front, but at a critical moment, he was so unreliable.
