Fallen for You: The Idol and His Fan
Chapter 10 - 9: Acting Like a Diva
CHAPTER 10: CHAPTER 9: ACTING LIKE A DIVA
Xiang Qichen felt like he was probably obsessed, allowing himself to be distracted time and time again by that thoughtless remark of Zhou Huaiyi. Shaking his head, he walked inside with some frustration.
Zhou Huaiyi stood in place, staring blankly at Xiang Qichen’s suddenly retreating back.
囧
Did she just... say something wrong again?
Why did the heartthrob suddenly change his expression...
Zhou Huaiyi scratched her head in confusion, raised her hand, and slapped it against her mouth, silently chiding herself, "Why can’t you watch your mouth?"
The assistant coming up from behind glanced at the clothes Zhou Huaiyi was wearing, was briefly stunned, then hurriedly followed in Xiang Qichen’s footsteps with their phone in hand.
Liu Yang craned his neck over at this time, glanced at Xiang Qichen’s departing figure, and blew a breath at Zhou Huaiyi’s ear, "Did you make a move on Xiang Qichen last night? What’s with the sticking plaster?"
Zhou Huaiyi shivered all over, turned to push him away, made a face at him, snorted, "Made a move my ass!"
She didn’t even touch a hair!
Liu Yang: "..."
——
As the production progressed, the second female lead, Zhang Yuan, joined the team today. She was a newly rising star in the past couple of years, around twenty-three or twenty-four years old. Rumor had it that she entered the entertainment industry leaning on her family’s immense wealth. Her temper was capricious and unpredictable.
Liu Yang took a wireless microphone from the box and handed it to Zhou Huaiyi, pointing at Zhang Yuan who was sitting in front of the grand hall, saying, "Go, attach it to Zhang Yuan."
Zhou Huaiyi nodded, accepting it readily, and was about to step forward when Liu Yang suddenly pulled her back and whispered in her ear, "That Zhang Yuan has quite a temper, reportedly brought in with investment. Don’t provoke her, be clever."
Zhou Huaiyi glanced in the direction he indicated, paused for two seconds, agreed with an "Okay," and then scurried over.
Xiang Qichen, having finished his makeup, came out of the makeup room, holding the script, ready to study today’s scenes further when a sharp voice came from behind—
"You pervert, where are you touching while sticking the mic?"
Instantly, everyone in the set went silent for a moment, collectively turning their heads toward the source of the voice.
Zhou Huaiyi stood holding the wireless mic in front of Zhang Yuan, looking flustered and at a loss.
Zhou Huaiyi was startled; she looked up at Zhang Yuan’s exquisitely made-up face and murmured in grievance, "I just pulled on your clothes a little..."
Little did she know that Zhang Yuan’s keen ears caught her words clearly, her temper rising further as she retorted unrelentingly: "What are you saying? And you think you’re justified touching me? Director, what kind of people are you hiring?"
The director in front of the camera furrowed his brow, his face immediately darkening.
Seeing things were going poorly, Liu Yang quickly handed the microphone pole to someone else and ran over, bowing apologetically to Zhang Yuan: "Sorry, sorry, she’s a new intern, not familiar with some things yet. I apologize on her behalf..."
Zhang Yuan snorted disdainfully, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes, speaking with sharp sarcasm: "Ha, you guys hire this kind of shady intern in the sound group?"
Zhou Huaiyi could no longer hold back when she heard this.
Swallowing her anger didn’t mean she was weak, especially since she clearly hadn’t done anything wrong.
Zhou Huaiyi lifted her head, ready to argue, but was suddenly interrupted by a gentle voice: "Teacher Guo, my wireless seems to be sticking not too well."
As if intentionally raising his voice, the attention of the surrounding people was swiftly drawn over.
Xiang Qichen stood in front of Guo Rong, composedly holding the script, smiling politely at him.
Liu Yang, upon hearing this, quickly pulled Zhou Huaiyi over, smoothly suggesting: "Then Huaiyi, you go fix Xiang Qichen’s mic, I’ll get someone else for Zhang Yuan."
He didn’t give Zhang Yuan a chance to speak, immediately pushing Zhou Huaiyi over toward Xiang Qichen.
Zhang Yuan felt a lump of anger stuck in her chest, unwilling but not wanting to act too unreasonable in front of Xiang Qichen. She opened her mouth but ultimately said nothing, letting out a heavy humph and turned away.
Zhou Huaiyi suppressed the anger in her heart, took a deep breath, and gently pulled open Xiang Qichen’s collar.
The next second she was stunned.
The wireless microphone was neatly and correctly attached to his chest, showing no signs of being loose or crooked.
Instinctively, she glanced up at the gentle and handsome man in front of her, suddenly understanding, and gratefully said, "Thank you..."
Xiang Qichen, as if he had heard nothing, continued to look at the script, not even raising his head.
Zhou Huaiyi was instantly even more moved, the fondness she held for Xiang Qichen in her heart surged to her eyes, nearly bringing tears.
Doing a good deed without expecting thanks.
The heartthrob really is...T^T
So handsome!
...
The director started urging, and Zhou Huaiyi snapped back to reality, fixing the wireless in place, tidying Xiang Qichen’s outer garment, and gave him a smile, "All done."
Xiang Qichen nodded courteously, thanked her, and turned to head into the grand hall.
