Fallen To The Ruthless Obssessive CEO
Chapter 280 - 264: To Be Fixed Tomorrow
CHAPTER 280: CHAPTER 264: TO BE FIXED TOMORROW
Bao Ye stopped in his tracks, his face as cold as frost, with his eyebrows tightly knit. His tall and slender figure was straight, and the black suit made him look even more dignified and decisive. At this moment, his mood was nearing zero degrees.
Chen Nan was beside him, quietly observing his expression, which was as expected, very unpleasant.
After returning to Beijing today, Bao Ye went straight to the company for meetings, back to back.
He was busy with work all day and didn’t even have time to eat.
It was already past ten when he finished.
Fortunately, his mood was still pretty good.
It ended up being due to not being able to reach Jiang Ruan on the phone, and she didn’t reply to his texts either. Bao Ye sent him to find out where she went, and he checked the car’s dashboard cam and came here first.
This wasn’t the first time Bao Ye had come out in the middle of the night looking for someone.
Unexpectedly, he happened to overhear Jiang Ruan say this.
Chen Nan was amused and troubled; Miss Jiang is in for it this time.
"Mr. Bao, Miss Jiang seems to have been drinking," Chen Nan ventured to say.
Upon hearing this, Bao Ye shot him a cold glance, "Obviously."
Chen Nan: "..."
He was trying to be comforting, but it was unappreciated, wah wah wah.
However, Bao Ye’s expression did ease up a bit.
Everyone’s in a bar, how could they not drink?
Could she have said those words if she hadn’t been drinking?
She needs a good talking-to.
"You’ll have a task later," the man slightly moved his thin lips, his tone commanding, "Get the other woman inside back home."
Even if he’s close with Jiang Ruan, he won’t bring just anyone back to the villa.
Chen Nan made a sound of acceptance, nodded, "Okay."
Once the words were spoken, Bao Ye pushed the door open and went inside.
Opening the door, he saw two women hugging each other, the one in Jiang Ruan’s arms was still crying.
Bao Ye: "..."
He suddenly felt overwhelmed.
Upon hearing the movement, Jiang Ruan looked over. Her flushed little face, with a hint of drunkenness, met Bao Ye’s dark eyes. She rubbed her eyes, thinking she was seeing things.
How could she see Bao Ye here?
Ten minutes later.
The car door opened, and Jiang Ruan was thrown into the passenger seat by Bao Ye. The soft leather felt like cotton as she lay on the seat with reddened eyes.
Bao Ye leaned over and pulled the seatbelt over to fasten her in.
His expression was like a thunderstorm, dark and gloomy.
Jiang Ruan bit her red lips, looking pitiful, "You’re so mean."
Bao Ye: "..."
"My arm’s sore from the fall." She stretched her arm out, wanting him to look at it, to comfort her.
Women who have been drinking are particularly melodramatic.
But evidently, the man wasn’t buying it.
With a "click," the seatbelt was fastened. He shut the door and went back to the driver’s seat.
Ignoring her, Jiang Ruan kicked off her high heels, her jade-like slender legs curled up in the seat, forming a ball. She called him, "Hey."
"Why aren’t you talking to me?"
Her black eyes looked at him expectantly, seeing his cold face that could freeze someone, her tone filled with grievance,
As Bao Ye reversed the car, he turned his head to glance at her upon hearing this, his dark eyes flickering with unusual emotion. He said in a cool voice, "Did you call me ’Hey’?"
Jiang Ruan shook her head, very obediently, "Your name is Bao Ye."
Bao Ye sneered coldly, "Seems like you haven’t drunk much."
Jiang Ruan persisted, "I didn’t drink much to begin with. I’m very good with alcohol."
Bao Ye was speechless, "You couldn’t walk steadily, and yet you’re fine?"
Jiang Ruan: "Who said I couldn’t walk steadily? You’re the one who insisted on carrying me."
Her back was against the seat, as the dim yellow streetlights outside kept refracting in, blowing the wind, her mind cleared a bit.
"Next time I won’t carry you," Bao Ye said, "You can walk on your own."
"Don’t cry if you fall and get bruises."
Jiang Ruan pouted, complaining to him, "You’re so heartless, Bao Ye."
The man gripped the steering wheel, sneered lightly at her words, and replied, "I can’t be too soft-hearted with you, or you’ll keep pushing your limits."
Jiang Ruan: "Alright, I was just thinking of having a drink since I haven’t seen her in so long."
Jiang Ruan sighed, "Lu Jie is my best friend in the world."
As she spoke, Jiang Ruan gritted her teeth, "I don’t know what went wrong, but during university, she fell for a guy from our school. Even though he had a girlfriend, she didn’t give up and kept running to see him. In the end, they had a four-year relationship, while she literally had a four-year unrequited love."
"After graduation, the guy went abroad with his girlfriend, then she finally gave up."
"I thought they’d completely broken off, but now, look, they’ve met again, and the guy’s single now, and Lu Jie fell into it again."
Jiang Ruan sighed deeply, biting her fingertip as she said, "A four-year deep-loved ex-girlfriend, even lived together, that’s like the white moonlight in the heart, like a thorn stuck in the heart. Why does Lu Jie just not figure it out?"
After listening to her lengthy chatter, a ripple crossed Bao Ye’s eyes, and he said lightly, "She chooses it for herself."
"Everyone’s an adult now, people have to pay for their actions, and no matter how difficult the road they choose, they have to walk it."
