"So this is their true nature?" Shen Xu asked and Zhen Yuan nodded before speaking.

"Maybe." He said.

"Should we save them?" Li Wenqiang wondered.

"Let’s solve the source of the chaos. Whether they are still alive when we do is up to their fate." Zhen Yuan said.

Soon after, the five left the area and continued searching for the source of the chaos.

Time passed and in the blink of an eye, it was four months later.

On this day, the five were about to enter the seventeenth adjoining cavern when Shen Xu suddenly stopped.

"What’s wrong?" Zhen Yuan asked.

"Ayuan, isn’t that Dongfang Jing and Chen Yi?" Shen Xu asked, looking to the left.

Hearing this, Zhen Yuan turned and his eyes narrowed.

It was indeed Dongfang Jing and Chen Yi.

However, the two seemed a little worse for wear.

"Chen Yi is still conscious." Shen Xu observed.

"Mmh." Zhen Yuan nodded.

From the looks of it, Chen Yi had knocked out Dongfang Jing and was carrying him while looking for a way out of the cave.

"Master, lord Zhen, do you know Dongfang Jing and Chen Yi?" Feng Xue asked with a surprised expression.

"We know them." The double answered but raised an eyebrow in question.

"Dongfang Jing is a famous genius in the Tianxuan continent and Chen Yi is the guard beside him. I heard they disappeared. How do you know them?"

"They escaped to the Canglan continent. We met them there."

"Is that so?" Feng Xue narrowed her eyes with a thoughtful expression.

’It seems the Canglan continent is a land of crouching tigers and hidden dragons.’ She thought.

"Xiaoxu, do you want to save them?" Zhen Yuan asked and Shen Xu immediately nodded.

"Save. Of course we have to save them." He said in an urgent voice.

"Master, are you good friends with those two?" Li Wenqiang asked.

When he heard the question, Shen Xu tilted his head with a thoughtful expression.

"Not really friends..." He muttered and quickly continued.

"We have a mutually beneficial relationship."

After saying that, Shen Xu nodded in satisfaction.

Although he and Zhen Yuan knew Dongfang Jing and Chen Yi, they were really not friends but acquaintances with aligned interests.

"Let’s save them quickly. Otherwise, our ticket to the Xuanwu continent will be lost." Shen Xu said and hurried towards the couple.

He and Dongfang Jing had been trapped in the caves for almost one year.

During that time, they met some acquaintances but all the encounters led to tragedy.

After all, everyone had lost their mind, rendering past friendships irrelevant.

"How long have you been here?’ Chen Yi asked and subconsciously stepped back.

"We have been here for five months. What about you?"

"Five months?" Chen Yi muttered and a trace of hope flashed in his eyes.

"Jing’er and I have been here for ten months but..."

After saying that, Chen Yi sighed and tilted his head to look at the unconscious Dongfang Jing.

Seeing this, Shen Xu smiled.

"We have evil expelling talismans, mind clearing talismans, and heart calming talismans. Do you want them?" The double asked, waving a batch of talismans at Chen Yi’s face.

"What level?" Chen Yi asked.

"Level five, level six, and level seven."

Chen Yi narrowed his eyes when he heard this.

However, he didn’t dwell on it and instead heaved a sigh of relief.

"I want as many level six as you can spare."

"Got it." Shen Xu said and happily completed the transaction.

After receiving the talismans, Chen Yi didn’t waste time.

Without delay, he removed a jade bed from his storage ring, placed Dongfang Jing on it and then pasted an evil expelling talisman to his chest.

When that was done, he activated the talisman and stared at his lover with barely concealed worry.

Less than thirty breaths later, the six watched as black smoke floated out of Dongfang Jing’s eyes, mouth, nostrils, and ears.

At the same time, the man’s complexion turned a little rosy, completely different from the previous deathly pallor.

"It’s working." Chen Yi excitedly exclaimed.

After three evil expelling talismans, Dongfang Jing looked a lot better and his eyelids moved.

"He is regaining consciousness." Chen Yi said and simultaneously pasted a mind-clearing and heart-calming talisman on Dongfang Jing.

"You should also take care of yourself." Zhen Yuan said, looking at Chen Yi with meaningful eyes.

Although Chen Yi was conscious, he was actually not doing well.

If they hadn’t discovered them, Chen Yi would likely have become unconscious within three days.

"I know." Chen Yi said and pasted an evil expelling talisman on himself.

A moment later, black smoke exhaled from his orifices and his complexion improved.

"How is it?" Shen Xu asked with a knowing expression.

While they were talking, Dongfang Jing opened his eyes.

"Jing’er." Chen Yi called and Dongfang Jing looked at his lover with relieved eyes.

"Have we left the caves?" He asked but Chen Yi shook his head before speaking.

"We haven’t left but we encountered some noblemen."

Hearing this, Dongfang Jing looked around and was shocked to see Shen Xu and Zhen Yuan.

"It’s been a long time. I didn’t expect our reunion to be under such circumstances." Dongfang Jing said and Shen Xu nodded.

"It’s an unexpected fate."

After Chen Yi and Dongfang Jing recovered, they joined Shen Xu and the others to continue exploring the caves.

However, after walking for two months and passing through eight caves, they still saw no end in sight.

"How many caves are there?" Shen Xu couldn’t help but complain.

"I think we are nearing the source of the chaos." Zhen Yuan suddenly said.
