Alex carefully looks through the various items Mikora offers. Most of the armor pieces and weapons appear medieval but are, in fact, recognized by the system, confirming their quality and worth.

“Take a good look, Tereza. If you see a huge upgrade, tell me, because at least I don’t see anything that interests me,” Alex says, scanning the different Purple-quality items, two of which are Deep Purple.

Alex inspects both Deep Purple items with disappointment: [Tribe Leader’s Robe] and [Ceremonial Knife].

    [Tribe Leader’s Robe]

S~ea??h the ηovёlFire .net website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Pffft, a robe belonging to a tribe leader? This sounds like something a damn Jedi negotiator would use. It’s also useless for combat!” Alex notes, mildly chuckling as he imagines this robe being worn, appearing as an item fitting for a Jedi but in reality made by lowly Centaurs.

    [Ceremonial Knife]

“The knife is interesting, but way too niche! It’s simply useless in most cases!” Alex analyzes, looking at Tereza. “See anything that would be a huge upgrade for you?”

“Maybe one stat here or there, but nothing too substantial. These items are mostly related to the SPR and AGI stats. The Centaurs’ culture is clearly affecting the available items,” Tereza responds.

Alex sighs, unsure what to do, a bit surprised by Jewel’s clinginess.

Remembering Rishi’s advice, Alex, just to make sure, takes a look at the Purple, Light Purple, and even Deep Blue and Blue items.

Alex yawns as he quickly rules out many of the choices. Finally, he arrives at the Blue items and begins to look at a few with interest.

“Tereza! They have the skillbooks for the Bow Proficiency skill… hey! They also have the Spear Proficiency! There it is: [Skillbook: Spear Proficiency]” Alex realizes.

Jewel tightly hugs Alex’s head, though it’s not uncomfortable—it feels more like a soft and cold head massage.

    “Thank you…”

    [Skillbook: Spear Proficiency]

“If you don’t want anything, I’ll buy the [Skillbook: Spear Proficiency]. Jewel wants it. Also, it’s tradeable! I think it’ll probably sell for a lot of FC in the Main Realm, and if we don’t need FC, we can keep it. Maybe we’ll find a gold-ranked spear, and we’ll be happy we bought it. Of course, that’s only if Jewel can’t actually learn it,” Alex says.

“Are you sure pets can learn player skills? I’m sure they can’t… It’s probably another thing we’ll only know once we enter the Main Realm,” Tereza responds.

“We’ve got a clue. I remember Jewel’s innate skill,” Alex states, recalling Jewel’s first innate skill.

    Innate skills:

    Overall Rating: SSS

“I see. That confirms that there are pet skills and that pets usually can’t learn player skills. It’s certainly worth a try, then. Why does she want to learn that skill? Is it her legs?” Tereza asks.

Tereza laughs. “So, you want to use your legs like a spear? Why not? Sounds like a good idea.”

Alex shrugs, replying, “It’s the first thing Jewel asked for. Even if it turns out to be a waste, she’s earned the right to try!”

Alex doesn’t hesitate anymore and buys the skillbook, handing it to Jewel.

Jewel makes contact with the skillbook, and it disappears immediately.

“What the fuck?! A blue skill transformed into a Light Gold-quality skill? What bullshit luck is this?” Alex cries out in surprise.

“Wow! Well, it’s not that surprising, is it?” Tereza asks Alex.

“How do you figure that?” Alex looks at her in confusion.

“She shares your stat distribution and high LUK stat, right?” Tereza says.

“I never thought about it, but… yes, indeed she does! Congratulations, Jewel!” Alex says, agreeing with Tereza.

    [Arachmagic Eight-Spear Style]

“This was so worth it,” Alex says with a smile.
