Farming Games are All About Grinding
Chapter 478 - 465: Birds in the Trees Pair Up
CHAPTER 478: CHAPTER 465: BIRDS IN THE TREES PAIR UP
Tang Qingying was fully aware of it in her heart.
Whether there was tea or not didn’t matter.
As long as there were desserts!
"What’s inside this? Is it double-skin milk? So fragrant. I can already smell the creaminess." Tang Qingying asked curiously.
Han Qiwu smiled and shook his head. He pressed down on the lids of the two plates and said, "Here’s a hint: it’s something popular among the people of the grasslands."
"Roast lamb leg," Tang Qingying blurted out without hesitation.
"Nope."
"Roast beef leg."
"Nope."
"Milk tea!"
"Nope."
"Milk skin!"
"Almost right."
Han Qiwu chuckled, opened the two plates, handed a spoon to Tang Qingying, and said, "This is cheese I made myself. Have a taste and tell me how it is."
"Thanks! It smells amazing. How do you know how to make everything?" Tang Qingying took the spoon and asked in astonishment.
Han Qiwu hadn’t even thought much about it and instinctively replied, "I didn’t know how to make this stuff before I met you."
And that was indeed the truth; he had only learned these things after encountering the farming game.
But Tang Qingying didn’t know that.
After hearing this, she raised her head and cast Han Qiwu a glance.
The atmosphere began to heat up, and the blush on both their faces almost seemed like it was running out.
Thankfully, the soft, white water buffalo cheese in the plate diverted Tang Qingying’s attention. She used the spoon to gently scoop up a piece of cheese.
The white, tender cheese wobbled slightly in the spoon, swaying back and forth.
Once it reached her mouth, its texture was soft but retained a bit of chewiness. Every bite burst with the rich flavor of milk, while a faint tanginess kept the creaminess from being overwhelming. Bite after bite, she couldn’t stop.
And it was packed with nutrients as well.
Wow, the more she ate, the more energized she felt!
"Don’t just eat one kind. Try the other one, too," Han Qiwu said after grabbing a piece for himself and chewing on it twice.
"Alright."
When it came to food, Tang Qingying was always willing to take advice.
The Thunder Milk Cheese was a darker color, gave off no tangy scent at all, and had a firmer texture. It almost felt like cheese candy in the mouth—much chewier.
"This one’s delicious, too, and it’s a bit sweeter. How did you make this? Amazing work." Tang Qingying gave him a big thumbs-up. However, her peripheral vision caught sight of her car, and she felt a twinge of discontent in her heart.
If only she could stay here all the time and eat this delicious food!
Oh right, didn’t her dad mention that he owned some land nearby? She should ask where it was later. Next semester, she’d let Han Qiwu conduct his experiments there. That way, all the tasty things he made would go straight to her, the little landowner!
Han Qiwu watched as Tang Qingying became increasingly delighted, unable to mask the smile on her face.
"What’s going on here? Big energy boost and now she’s practically euphoric?"
Han Qiwu quickly snatched the spoon from Tang Qingying’s hand and covered up the plates again.
"No more! Look at your belly."
Tang Qingying huffed, pulled up her shirt, and showed him. "See? No belly! I’ve got an hourglass waist!"
Only after doing so did she realize—wait, what the heck was she doing?
But in the very next second, she convinced herself it was no big deal.
After all, they had just soaked in a hot spring together earlier. What’s the big deal about showing him her belly!
Han Qiwu glanced for a second before quickly looking away. "Even so, you can’t have more. I only made these two pieces. Wouldn’t it be better if you took them home and savored them slowly?"
"What? Only two pieces?"
Tang Qingying admitted she regretted it now.
But it’s not like she could spit them back out!
"Then make more of this over the next few days, and I’ll pick them up next time, okay?"
"Don’t worry, I just learned how to make it," Han Qiwu promised with a smile.
"By the way, you don’t seem to have much tea here, do you? Want some? Should I bring you some next time?" Tang Qingying asked reluctantly, her eyes still fixed on the cheese.
Her thoughts were simple: with milk and tea, she could have milk tea next time she visited.
Han Qiwu, recalling what he had planned for tomorrow, shook his head and said, "Not for now. But in a couple of days, I’ll have some. Don’t worry about it."
Seeing that it was getting late, Tang Qingying reluctantly suggested she should get going.
Han Qiwu had anticipated this. He opened her trunk and stuffed in all the tasty foods he’d prepared earlier, one by one. After he finished, he saw Tang Qingying’s unhappy face, walked over, and comforted her, "I just packed all the leftover venison for you. It should be enough for tomorrow, but make sure you eat it all by then. It’ll spoil if you leave it too long."
Tang Qingying laughed at his words and said, "You don’t need to worry about that. Who knows? I might finish it all by tomorrow morning."
"Wishful thinking. That cheese-filled belly of yours will take all night to digest. Don’t overeat and make yourself sick, or how will you enjoy good food later? Drive safely, and send me a text when you get home."
After giving her some reminders, Han Qiwu watched as Tang Qingying’s car drove off into the distance.
For some reason, he felt a bit down-in-the-dumps.
"Chirp chirp!"
The little bird, which had been holding back for ages on the tree, couldn’t contain itself any longer and squawked out.
Kiss her already!!!
So many good opportunities!!!
How come the master just can’t take a hint!!!
Just say you want to taste the cheese left in her mouth!!!
Seriously!!!
There’s no way you haven’t watched dramas before!!!
Argh!!!
This bird is about to explode with anxiety!!!
Han Qiwu didn’t understand a single thing the little bird was squawking about, but his mood was already off. Without much thought, he summoned a branch and tied the little bird up on the tree.
The little bird has been placed under a gag order by the group admin.
Hey, why did this feel oddly familiar?
Come to think of it, after eating that cheese, Han Qiwu felt like his memory had shot through the roof.
He remembered he had forgotten to sell the rat tails he’d gotten in the mine to the traveling merchant earlier today!
And it seemed like he’d also forgotten to check the TV before heading out.
It looked like he really needed to eat more cheese in the future.
Oh, right, what was that thing about secondary fermentation for cheese?
Eh, forget it for now. Time to watch TV. He could research it later.
Walking into the house, Han Qiwu lightly slapped the TV beside him.
[Weather Forecast]
Light rain tomorrow.
[Life Hacks]
The birds in the trees pair up in twos.
[Almanac]
Good for companionship, bad for wet adventures.
[Shennong is currently resting.]
Han Qiwu: "....."
Who said birds in trees pair up? Wasn’t the little bird still single?
As for the "bad for wet adventures" thing in the almanac, that was probably referring to all the times he’d slipped by the hot spring recently.
Fortunately, he hadn’t been hurt.
Turning off the TV, Han Qiwu turned around and noticed the clothes he’d lent Tang Qingying earlier, now washed and hung up to dry.
The towel she’d used was drying nearby as well.
"Silly girl. Her hand hurts, yet she still washed clothes. Would’ve been easier if she’d let me toss them in the washing machine." Han Qiwu sighed helplessly and stepped into the yard. He waved to dispel an illusion, put on his weighted gloves, and began practicing his body-strengthening technique.
"Huff, puff."
After an hour of training, Han Qiwu wiped the sweat from his body and took out the Pumpkin King seeds, ready to plant them.
He planned to plant these pumpkins within the bees’ honey-gathering range.
Who knows, maybe the pumpkin flowers could produce nectar too!
