Chapter 1367 - 722: Fairy Charm Bracelet_2
CHAPTER 1367: CHAPTER 722: FAIRY CHARM BRACELET_2
Fairy Charm Bracelet.
This bracelet is crafted from symbiotic trees of Tree Spirits and is imbued with the Tree Spirits’ innate charm ability.
Fairy Charm (Special Ability) — Once you wear this bracelet, you will gain the same charm ability as a Tree Spirit, capable of charming humanoids or beasts within ten meters of you. The number of humanoids you can charm is determined by your Charisma Adjustment Value/person, and for beasts, it’s Charisma Adjustment Value/3.
Once charmed, the charmed creatures will see the bracelet wearer as a trusted friend, whom they must obey and protect. Even though the charmed beings are not controlled by the wearer, they will try their best to fulfill the wearer’s requests or act according to their wishes.
If the wearer or allies harm the charmed creature, it might break free from the charm. If a Will save is successful, the effect will cease, lasting a total of twenty-four hours.
If the wearer dies or is on a different plane from the charmed creature, the charm will automatically end. If the target successfully saves, they will be immune to charm for twenty-four hours.
Charm Control (Special Ability) — You can select one creature to charm permanently, with the same effects as the Fairy Charm. While using this ability, the wearer cannot use the Fairy Charm ability on other creatures.
This bracelet can only control giant or smaller creatures with an Intelligence Value of no more than 3. If the target exceeds this size or intelligence, the charm will automatically fail.
After identifying the attributes of this bracelet,
Gaven felt a surge of joy in his heart; he knew this matter was just right for the Tree Spirit.
Because they are famous for their Fairy Charm ability, those who become infatuated by them, losing their divine soul, fell to this ability.
However, upon noticing the giant size limitation, his yet-to-bloom smile froze. If there’s such a limitation, it greatly diminishes its value.
Both the Cloud Manta and Purple Worm are over twenty meters long, undoubtedly being super-sized giants.
"Is there a stronger charm bracelet available, one that can control super-sized creatures?" Gaven stated frankly, "We plan to acquire a few Purple Worms to assist with road building and mining, which surpass the control capability of this bracelet."
"Super-sized ones can be made, but it’s exceedingly troublesome. Currently, only I in Arosh can create one, and it requires more than just my symbiotic tree’s core; it also needs a large amount of scarce casting materials that we in Arosh lack."
"Your Majesty could list out these casting materials for me, and I’ll send someone to gather them. We won’t demand the charm bracelets for free; we’ll purchase them at a reasonable price or trade with materials that Arosh is lacking." Gaven breathed a long sigh of relief; it’s best if they can be made, as the worst thing would be if they couldn’t.
"Very well, thirty thousand for super-sized, twenty-five thousand for giant, and so on, up to large. If you provide some of the making materials yourselves, the price for each type will be reduced by ten thousand. I’ll list one inventory of making materials and another for trade goods for you," Queen Radanaxi directly quoted a price for this unique magic equipment.
"I’ll take a dozen of every type," Gaven ordered, without bargaining on the price.
Because a charm bracelet that can control a super-sized magic beast at thirty thousand each is indeed a fair price. On the market, they would definitely sell out in seconds.
This equipment isn’t something that every Tree Spirit can produce, and even if it isn’t exclusively from the Kingdom of Arosh, it’s close to it. At least in Gaven’s past life, he’d neither seen nor heard of such equipment.
"Do you think these items are tumbleweeds, available in limitless quantities? I have only two super-sized, a few more large-sized can be gathered for you, and the rest depends on how much corresponding making materials you can bring," Queen Radanaxi’s displeasure was clearly visible in her expression.
"Having this much is sufficient." Gaven said joyfully, "Could you give me the bracelets first? I’ll deliver the trade goods along with the making materials. If that’s not feasible, just one super-sized first will do."
Currently, the target they have locked onto is solely a Cloud Manta.
The most pressing task for Gaven and company next is not large-scale exploitation of Rocklands but preparing for the TTukan Nomads Tribes’ major invasion.
He had already shared this intelligence in a military meeting with Katherine.
Unexpectedly, the opposition had already been aware of this. It wasn’t surprising, since Lady Strategy specializes in planning, strategy, and tactics, is particularly sensitive to the presence of war. Such a massive military move from the TTukan Nomads would not go unnoticed by her, and she would certainly send a suggestion to her chosen ones.
Where there’s war, there is where the War God Faction gods can most easily gather faith.
As for why Gaven wasn’t hinted about it, it was because Lady Strategy knew he knew, and even understood part of his plans. If there’s no concept of the God Fiend’s ability, just look at the series of convenient abilities Gaven gained at the Road Idol.
He has only activated the most basic abilities. Once he gathers the three major elements for ascension (Fusion of Divine Spark, Coalescence of Godhood, Ascension of Godrealm), his abilities will undergo a qualitative change, to the point where creating roads with a wave of his hand is not impossible.
And with Lady Strategy managing the Planning Clergy, she likely knows far more than anyone can imagine.
Her tolerance for Gaven acquiring half of the chosen status through unusual means was not without reason. She probably discerned many things about Gaven at that time.
