Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God
Chapter 1531 - 777: Dragon Sorcery Wraith and the Dragon Cult
CHAPTER 1531: CHAPTER 777: DRAGON SORCERY WRAITH AND THE DRAGON CULT
Gaven downed the wine in his hand and said, "Let the banquet begin."
With his command, the entire banquet resumed its operations, the crowd began to move and converse, bards started singing, and the jesters began their performances once more.
All of these elements sent a single message to Gaven: wealth and safety.
Knowing full well that everything before him was an illusion, after spending some time here, Gaven found it hard to treat them as mere phantoms, for everything was so real; not only their tactile sensations but also their interactions and reactions.
They were each vivid individuals, with their own joys and sorrows and memories, giving Gaven the impression that everything was far more than just a simple illusion, as if he’d truly traveled through time and become Anka.
Having experienced time travel before, Gaven knew this was impossible.
In Felen, time is relatively stable, with no divine positions or true gods related to time, and time-related magic is exceedingly rare. Even spells like time stop generally only affect oneself, placing them in an isolated timeline for tens or even dozens of seconds.
There are spells like imprisonment and stasis, akin to a time capsule, which fix a person’s state, allowing them to awaken after years, decades, or even centuries.
Strictly speaking, this isn’t truly time magic, because it can’t be reversed, nor is it completed in an instant. Aside from a select few, most recipients are unwilling victims of such spells.
This is more like a recreation of scenarios through magic force.
As with all trials, the pace was very urgent, and the time left for Gaven to adapt to his identity was extremely limited. Just as he’d reached his conclusion, a massive commotion and exclamations erupted on the other side.
"What is this? Who are you? Why are you doing this?"
"Ah... there’s been a murder... a murder..."
"This is a sacrificial summoning magic circle, he’s summoning an evil presence."
"Bone Dragon... he’s a necromancer, summoning a Bone Dragon... ah ah..."
"Ah ah... I can’t move, help me, I can’t move, someone save me..."
"Dragon Breath, Strong Acid Breath, this isn’t a Bone Dragon, it’s a Dragon Sorcery Wraith transformed from a Black Dragon..."
"Flee, flee quickly..."
"We’re going to die, going to die..."
"Cloak Warriors, what are you waiting for? Now’s the time to step up and stop him, don’t let them harm our lieges."
"Hold on, the Lord is on his way."
"The Lord has arrived... the Lord has arrived..."
"Lord, don’t come over, it’s a trap, a trap set for you, you’ll die if you come here. We will hold them off, you must quickly lead the lieges away and escape!"
"Anka Lord, don’t go..."
Without thinking, Gaven rushed toward the source of the chaos. Along the way, there were all sorts of cries and shouts. By the time he arrived, it had already turned into a Shura field, a completely one-sided massacre.
The Dragon Sorcery Wraith that suddenly appeared among the crowd was a terrifying weapon of mass destruction against the ordinary valley people, its every move filled with dreadful lethality.
With a single step, it could crush a liege into pulp.
With a single glare, it could paralyze a liege in place, unable to move.
With a sweep of its tail, it would send countless lieges flying, either crashing into the crowd, knocking down several people, or hitting the ground heavily, some killed instantly by the impact, others severely twisted. In either case, they couldn’t get up from the ground for a while.
Most terrifying of all was its Dragon Breath, like a waterfall tens of meters long and several meters wide, cascading down, with those trapped within letting out horrific and desperate screams.
The acid descending from the sky was highly corrosive, not only melting flesh but also making metals and wooden objects sizzle and quickly riddling them with holes.
Whether it was the manner of its Dragon Breath display or the dragon horns charging forward like a grotesque goat, it all confirmed that in life, it was a Black Dragon.
Different from an ordinary Black Dragon’s black-green corrosive water Dragon Breath, this Dragon Sorcery Wraith’s breath was even darker, smellier, and far more corrosive. Many valley people killed by the breath staggered back up, attacking their former friends and family, for they had now become undead.
In this one-sided slaughter, there was a group of people who defied the tide, charging at the rampaging Dragon Sorcery Wraith. Even though most of them couldn’t withstand a single strike from this horrific monster, they still pressed forward relentlessly, risking their lives.
These people, whether male or female, young or old, of all different races, were united by the fire-red cloaks they wore. These were Anka’s Cloak Warriors, using their lives to buy the ordinary valley lieges a chance at survival, doing their best to minimize the casualties.
This Dragon Sorcery Wraith, before transformation, had at least reached ancient age, as its body type surpassed colossal, advancing to giant. Normally, only Black Dragons of such an age would grow to this size.
The Lizard Queen was purely by chance, for a gluttonous Giant Dragon like her was indeed rare.
Its appearance was extremely similar to a Black Dragon, but it had very few dragon scales and muscles left on its entire body, only a massive skeleton framework remained, including its Dragon Wings. Many places resembling muscle tissue were just clusters of black mist formed by negative energy.
