Chapter 1765: Chapter 854: Killing Two Birds with One Stone (Part 3)
“Oh? What idea? Tell us quickly!”
All the Haslan Witches who weren’t engaged in battle set aside their tasks, eager to listen. They were particularly interested in getting rid of the Dushan Witch.
This Dark Sister had been a parasite in the Laiserman Kingdom for nearly a thousand years, and no matter their efforts, they couldn’t completely eliminate or escape her.
Whether this young man before them might bring them a pleasant surprise, for some things could not be measured by age, at least Gaven was an example of this.
“Have you ever heard of the Half-Plane of Fear?” Gaven replied with a question instead.
“Half-Plane of Fear? Are you referring to that dark world called Demon Realm, stripped and twisted from the Main Material Plane by dark divine power?” questioned the Light Spirit Witch.
Gaven acknowledged, “That’s precisely the half-plane I’m referring to. The darkest and most evil place, where it acts like a spider’s web, attempting to ensnare all living beings that fall into it, causing them to struggle in pain within the dark twisted world, yet unable to escape completely.”
“You want to send the Dushan Witch into the Half-Plane of Fear, using its binding traits to trap her?”
“That’s a good idea, but easier said than done. We’ve only heard of this half-plane but never interacted with it, let alone managed to send the Dushan Witch inside; she certainly won’t cooperate obediently.”
“Could it be that Commander has a way to send the Dushan Witch into this half-plane?”
The question from the Haslan Witch was filled with undisguised astonishment, as such a dangerous realm was not something ordinary people could access.
“I certainly can’t achieve that myself, but I know someone who might have the capability.” Gaven said with a smile, “As it turns out, this person has a connection with you, since you share a common enemy. She fell into a teleportation trap set by a Legendary Red Robe Mage and was sent into the Half-Plane of Fear.”
The person he mentioned was none other than the Legendary Arcanist Philancy.
Normally, Philancy wouldn’t be able to leave her place of imprisonment, but she learned the art of dream weaving from Gaven, and upon constructing her own dreamscape, her range of activities began expanding significantly.
Theoretically, she could move between different dreamscapes, including the Dragon Oak Dream Realm.
However, Gaven didn’t open the Dragon Oak Dream Realm to her, fearing the powerful adhesive nature of the Half-Plane of Fear. He was worried that when Philancy came over, she might bring a part of that half-plane with her, thus anchoring the Dragon Oak Dream Realm to that dark world, making both sides easier to merge.
But when facing the nightmare dreamscape of Dushan, the powerful adhesive nature of the dark half-plane was exactly what they wanted.
“The Legendary Red Robe Mage? Do you know his name?”
Upon hearing Red Robe Mage, the interest of these Haslan Witches intensified, their hatred for these evil bald-headed mages was as deep as that for their Dark Sisters.
“Sareberth!” Gaven replied.
He had obtained this name from Philancy during the third moonlit gathering.
“Former Chairperson of the Illusion Spell, Sareberth, ha, do you happen to know his whereabouts? Up until now, his fate is unknown, and even his state can’t be predicted. Those Red Robe Mages have always suspected he might have been sealed, and suspect it was us who did it.” The voice of the Haslan Witch carried undeniable delight.
What a major figure!
Gaven gasped, realizing the weight a Red Robe Mage chairperson held, something that could be inferred from the strength these Haslan Witches possessed, as most of them could face off one-on-one.
Being the chairperson of the illusion spell section implies the person was once the No.1 in terms of illusion spell strength, and their prowess in conspiracy was also top-notch.
Upon reflection, it seemed not so strange.
After all, Philancy wasn’t an easy character either; she was a Legendary Arcanist with the Scroll of Ioleum at her disposal, ordinary legendary mages couldn’t overpower her.
This also indirectly validated Philancy’s formidable prowess, for she was confined in the World of Mist, and during each encounter, the power she could wield was quite limited, so Gaven hadn’t quite assessed her full strength.
This deepened Gaven’s resolve to rescue her.
After witnessing the formidable power of the Laiserman Witch, he realized more deeply the importance of having a top-notch spellcaster for any force, something he sorely lacked.
And powerful beings like them usually have affiliations, being leader figures of particular forces. Enlisting them directly was nearly impossible, collaboration was the most one could hope for.
The solitary and independent Philancy was undoubtedly an excellent choice.
Suppressing his inner joy, Gaven admitted, “He was indeed killed by my friend, and his soul was sealed up. I apologize for implicating you as responsible.”
“Haha, we wouldn’t mind taking the blame for something like that a few more times.”
“Indeed, if given the chance, it’s best to eliminate a few more chairpersons, if possibly Sazass, the first chairperson, then perhaps the entire world would be much more peaceful.”
“If there’s a chance, you must introduce this friend of yours to us.”
Amidst lighthearted banter, the topic among the Haslan Witches shifted to the key issue.
“So, how do you plan to send the Dushan Witch into the Half-Plane of Fear?”
