Chapter 131: New Student: Part-1
CHAPTER 131: NEW STUDENT: PART-1
After somehow dealing with Sakura... wrestling her off, dodging blades, and barely surviving that storm of accusations.
Valra eventually managed to escape from her attacks. She clarified the situation over and over again, desperately trying to explain the truth.
It turned out that Sakura was still ridiculously angry... just because Valra got the kiss.
But honestly? Who even cared anymore?
Valra, instead of calming her down, intentionally boasted about it just to piss her off more.
And oh, it worked beautifully.
Sakura... with her voice shaking, her face red, and her eyes shimmering with unshed tears, finally reached her limit and... ran away.
Almost crying.
Haha...
Valra laughed like a true villain... a deep, satisfied, almost evil laugh. A few seconds ago this same girl tried to kill her, but now she was the one running away like a kid who lost a game.
All because Valra kept repeating... again and again!
That it wasn’t her fault.
It was Leo who kissed her.
Not the other way around.
Just that was enough for Sakura to finally shut her mouth and run away with her tail tucked between her legs!
With a small sense of happiness and a touch of victory, Valra went and bought a brand-new set of uniforms for Leo. When the school day was finally over, and since the school had already banned any extra-curricular activities after hours, everyone left the grounds almost immediately.
Valra and Leo walked back together, side by side, their fingers tangled in a daring little hold. Their hands were together the whole time.
So naughty~
"Did... something happen between you and Sakura?" Leo asked suddenly, his tone slightly curious.
For some reason, earlier during the break, Sakura had come to him. She hadn’t spoken a single word, only bit her lips hard, muttered something under her breath without saying it out loud, then turned away with a furious huff before storming off.
Leo had been utterly flabbergasted... what the heck was that even supposed to mean?
Valra flinched at his question but quickly masked it with a smile. "Oh? Of course not... why did you ask?" she replied sweetly, though her lips betrayed her, grinning from ear to ear like a cat that had just eaten the canary.
Yup. Definitely something happened.
But Leo wasn’t stupid. He was sure that if he asked further, he’d get dragged into some chaotic storm he didn’t want any part of. So he shrugged instead.
"Nothing," he said simply.
Great escape!
Valra only giggled softly and hugged his arm tighter against her. Yet when her eyes flicked down at her bosom, where Leo’s hand rested so close but so not feeling up, her smile faltered a little. A tiny frown tugged her lips. She shook her head quickly, muttering inside her heart. ’He isn’t like that...’ she scolded herself for thinking something ridiculous.
Soon, they arrived at the junction where they would need to part ways. Reluctantly, Valra let go of Leo’s hand, though her fingers lingered for a moment as if they didn’t want to leave him. She passed him the new clothes she had bought, placing them carefully in his arms.
"See you tomorrow, Leo," Valra said softly.
But she didn’t move... Not an inch.
Instead, she stood there awkwardly, eyes darting shyly around the empty street. Not a soul was in sight. It was just the two of them beneath the fading light. Her gaze rose again, expectant, her cheeks glowing faintly.
Leo caught it immediately. With a small, knowing smile, he leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers.
Crack!
Something snapped from the shadows. A faint shimmer of purple hair flickered in the corner of the street... and then disappeared without a trace.
Valra pulled back with a blushing smile, her heart thundering. "G-Goodbye~" she stammered, before practically running away, a cheeky grin spread across her flushed face.
Leo, on the other hand, chuckled at her frantic, girlish escape. He shook his head with quiet amusement before turning and walking back to his own house.
Meanwhile, Valra nearly skipped along her way home, her steps light with joy. "Hehe... Now he kissed me in broad daylight? Hehe~ We really are getting closer and closer... Hmm~Hmm~" she hummed like a girl in love, swaying her arms happily.
Tomorrow, she decided, she was definitely going to do something bold.
Which was... she was going to kiss him!!
"Fu~Fu~" she giggled softly, imagining it.
This would be her first time taking the initiative. She had to do it... Otherwise, she would be seen as too passive, and she couldn’t let that happen. She needed to assert her dominance, to make her claim even clearer.
Just the thought of how she would make her move made her whole body tremble... half with excitement, half with fear.
"Oi! Can you stop giggling for a second?"
Valra flinched as she looked up... and froze.
Standing near her house gate was Ophis.
"How did you find my house?" Valra asked, walking over with a mix of annoyance and curiosity.
"Tsk," Ophis clicked her tongue lightly, her tone cool. "Your house is practically leaking with mana residue... besides, this was close to where we separated last time." Her voice was calm, almost bored, as if the answer was obvious.
"Oh? Okay..." Valra muttered, nodding. Then her lips curved hopefully, her eyes lighting up a little. "So... what are you doing here? Did you change your mind? Do you want to stay at my house?" she asked with a hopeful expression, her tone a little too eager.
However—
"Dream on," Ophis replied flatly, shrugging.
"Tsk" Valra clicked her tongue.
Then Ophis’s eyes sharpened.
"I came here to ask you something... let me enrol in your school."
Valra was taken aback, blinking rapidly before bursting out,
"Say what? No way I would do that!" She shook her head violently... There was no way she would allow this girl into her school. Who knew what kind of chaos Ophis might bring?
It had taken Valra so long to adjust to her new school life... she couldn’t let this vampire girl wreck it all!
But Ophis’s lips curled in the faintest smirk. She leaned forward slightly and said, "I’ll help you hook up with Leo—"
"Deal!"
Valra slapped her palm against Ophis’s hand without a single hesitation. Not even a heartbeat of thought.
Ophis grinned, sharp and smug.
