Chapter 133: Gorgo? New Student?
CHAPTER 133: GORGO? NEW STUDENT?
"My name is Gorgo."
A voice that felt so seductive yet so calm and elegant... a mixture flowing from the lips of a fine girl, carrying both allure and authority.
These students had never heard anything like that before, and the way her words echoed in the classroom left them stunned into silence.
The green-haired girl said it with a small smile as she looked at the students, who were still trying to process what they had just seen and heard.
This girl... wasn’t she way too beautiful... almost on par with the Student Council President herself?
Her presence felt almost unreal, like someone who had stepped out of a painting.
Some students, whether male or female, felt their cheeks warm as they blushed just from seeing her eyes briefly sweep over them, a fleeting glance that still made their hearts pound.
The teacher, too, was briefly entranced by her beauty before he caught himself and shook his head.... His job was more important!
"Thank you, Ms. Gorgo... Please, have a seat," he said at last, clearing his throat as he motioned toward the classroom.
The front row almost stood up at once, ready to give up their seats for her, desperate for the honour, but Gorgo only walked past them gracefully and paused at the back row, where an empty chair waited... right beside Leo.
With an effortless elegance, she sat down... and even that simple act looked flawless, as if she was born to draw eyes without trying.
It wasn’t just everyone, even Leo, who was taken aback by her beauty.
He wasn’t exactly immune to beautiful faces, he had seen many before... honestly, he too was surprised by her perfection, almost like the glamorous models he remembered seeing in his world before he came here.
So perfect... no errors anywhere.
Leo raised his eyebrows, and though there was a flicker of curiosity inside him about talking to her but... yeah, he just remembered he already had two girlfriends.
If they found out he was talking to her... he knew exactly what would come.
A storm of earful scolding, endless questions, and a storm of jealousy... especially from Sakura.
So, instead of entertaining the thought, he shut his mouth, leaned back, and returned to his sleep.
Gorgo quietly opened her notebook and turned her attention to the board where the teacher was already explaining the lesson. Yet, in between her movements, she stole a single glance at Leo—just for a second—before returning her focus to the lecture, as if nothing had happened.
.... Time passed, and soon an interval came. By then, Gorgo was naturally surrounded by curious students.
"Hello, my name is John."
"I am Eile."
Students came forward one by one, introducing themselves eagerly. Gorgo smiled, her expression warm, as she nodded and shook hands with each of them.
She seemed genuinely friendly... not rude, not distant, nor showing any of the strange behaviour that usually came with a new mid-term student.
"Gorgo? That’s a weird name, you know?" one boy said with a laugh, trying to mask his nervousness.
Gorgo smiled gently at him... and that smile alone was enough to make several of the boys tremble where they stood.
"So... where are you from? You don’t look like a local here. Foreign?"
A girl asked with curiosity.
Gorgo said with a calm, steady tone, "Yes, I am from Libya, which is far from here. Due to my mother’s work, I will be staying here for the time being."
"Oh? I see..."
"Should I show you around the school?"
"Hey, Gorgo, are you interested in joining any sports games? We’re having a school festival very soon!"
They kept up a barrage of questions at her, one after another, which of course she answered calmly and politely. Everyone seemed drawn to her presence... except Leo, who was unable to sleep because of the noise.
His eyebrows twitched under the constant chatter. He frowned and pushed his chair back with a loud creak that instantly cut through the room, making everyone fall silent. For a moment, every student worried that they had somehow managed to piss him off.
But Leo, with his annoyed expression, didn’t say a word. He simply stood up and walked out of the classroom.
As he stepped out, the students sighed in relief.
"I thought he was going to crush me..." one muttered under his breath.
"Hah... man, that guy is totally different now."
"Even approaching him feels weirder... and dangerous."
As they murmured to one another, Gorgo glanced at Leo’s figure as he walked away, one hand shoved lazily into his pocket while he yawned and groaned like someone half asleep.
Without warning, she immediately pushed her chair back as well and stood up.
Leo, walking down the hall with that slightly annoyed, sleepy look, suddenly flinched when he felt a shadow matching his pace at his side. He turned his head... and saw Gorgo walking right beside him.
Leo frowned for a second but quickly shrugged it off, thinking maybe it was just a coincidence. The students who passed by couldn’t help but turn and stare at the sight of Gorgo and Leo together.
Honestly... the new Leo and Gorgo did look good together.
Even though the boys and girls around wanted to reject that idea, they couldn’t deny it—it was like a dark contrast made for each other. His hair, dark reddish-black, and her shimmering green locks... it was an image that stuck in their minds.
Kind of looked great.
As the students whispered among themselves, Leo frowned. For every turn he took, this girl turned as well, keeping up with his pace as if... as if...
"Are you following me?" Leo finally asked, looking at her with a frown.
Gorgo met his eyes, shaking her head. "What makes you think that?" she replied, tilting her head slightly with calm curiosity.
Leo blankly stared at her for a second, then shifted his gaze toward the window glass, checking his own reflection. He had to admit... he looked good. Sexy, even.
Maybe...
"Listen... I have a girlfriend... s." Leo said at last with a slightly smug tone, almost amused by the words coming out of his mouth.
Never in his life had he thought he would actually say this to another girl.
It was kind of amusing. He’d only ever seen women say things like that.
Actually, it’s really boosting once ego... didn’t it?
However—
"... What are you saying?" Gorgo looked at him with confused eyes, as if wondering what the heck he was babbling about.
Leo’s lips twitched. ’Guess she isn’t after me,’ he thought, feeling oddly relieved yet strangely disappointed at the same time.
A small part of him was happy, but another part couldn’t help but feel a little sad.
He shook his head and kept walking. Gorgo halted her steps for a few seconds, her eyes fixed on his back, before following again—but this time, she kept just a little distance behind him.
Leo of course noticed this. He frowned. ’Something is definitely wrong with her,’ he thought with irritation, his brows furrowing deeper.
Just as he walked further down the hall, he noticed a group of students gathered in front of the notice board.
Leo hummed; he remembered. The list of participants for the upcoming school festival games was supposed to be posted on the notice board, wasn’t it?
He wasn’t interested in knowing it... however,
’What about Valra and Sakura? Are they playing in the game?’
The thought hit him instantly, and his eyes narrowed with concern. If they were participating, wouldn’t it be his duty as their boyfriend to watch them and cheer them on?
’Holy shit!’
He hurried over to the board, weaving past a few students, and scanned through the list with a slightly worried expression. His eyes moved quickly, searching for their names.
However... to his surprise, both Valra and Sakura weren’t listed under any of the events!
Leo sighed in huge relief, running his hand down his chest as if a mountain had been lifted off him... until his casual glance slid down toward his own class section.
And that’s when his face froze.
His name.... His freaking name was written there in bold letters.
Leo’s expression turned into sheer horror. He leaned forward and touched his name with his finger, as if hoping it would vanish or prove to be some nightmare. But no—the letters were real, mocking him in plain sight.
"Leo... Participate in... 400-meter dash?" he read out loud, his voice shaking.
Leo stared in disbelief. He needed to run that freaking 400-meter dash?!
No way!
His body stiffened at the thought. Without wasting another second, he immediately spun on his foot and stormed toward the student council room.
’No way in hell I’m going to participate in that game and waste my energy!’
Knock... Knock...
He banged his knuckles against the student council room door with urgency, but there was no response.
Leo frowned. He knocked again and again, harder each time, but still there was no sound.
’They’re not inside?’ He sighed, his lips tightening. ’I need to change that list immediately,’ he thought, biting down on his lip.
Then suddenly, his eyes widened.
Wasn’t his girlfriend some kind of assistant in the student council?
How could he have forgotten that?!
’Maybe she could help me!’
With that hope, He turned, ready to leave and head for her classroom, when—
Crack.
"Hmmmff!!"
Leo froze on the spot. He flinched when he heard a muffled sound coming from behind the closed door.
"What the—"
He leaned closer, pressing his ear against the wood. The sound came again... a muffled cry, followed by the distinct noise of something snapping or breaking.
His eyes widened.
There was crying.... Someone was crying inside.
Leo’s hand immediately went to the knob, and without hesitation, he twisted it and threw the door open.
"What the hell is going on—"
But his words caught in his throat.
The entire room was a mess. Papers scattered everywhere, chairs overturned and broken.
And right in the middle of it all—Ophis was standing, stomping down furiously on Valra’s back.
"Did you get it?" Ophis snarled, her voice low and dangerous.
"Arh!" Valra cried out.
"Get it?!!!" Ophis screamed, stomping harder.
"Arh!" Valra’s pained voice echoed again.
Leo’s eyes widened further, his body freezing in shock.
"What the..." he whispered, completely taken aback by the sight in front of him.
