Fated to the Alpha's Sons: An Omegas Rise to Fame
Chapter 120: Audrey.
CHAPTER 120: AUDREY.
When the girls were done exchanging numbers and promising to call each other, Tristan ordered their breakfast but as take out, seeing as they’d stayed beyond thirty minutes and his rent had expired.
"Call me." Mia mouthed to Bethany as she and Tristan headed towards the entrance, smiling widely.
"I will." Bethany mouthed back, sending a short wave as she disappeared behind the door, Tristan following closely.
"Soo... What do you think?" He finally asked the question he’d been wanting to ask since stepped out of the diner, stretching his arm to the back seat so he could keep their purchase.
"She’s soo.. gingerly. So happy, so easy. I couldn’t find any hidden emotions in her eyes. Her countenance was light and warm. I think I like her." She admitted, turning to see the look of pride as happiness on Tristan’s face.
"Already?" He asked, mustering a questioning look despite his happiness. "Thought you’d have to know more about her to do that."
"Well.." She drawled, looking away as she leaned in further into his plush leather seat. "Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to know someone’s a good person." She said shrugging. "Doesn’t mean I’m not going to watch her closely." She eyed him, causing him to break into laughter.
"Whatever you want, Bunny. I’m just happy my theory was right, or else I would’ve had to kill her." He said easily, turning on the car.
"What do you mean kill her?" She asked, looking up at him in confusion.
"You wouldn’t have liked her for some reasons, and she would’ve known our secret. So, since you guys wouldn’t have ended up being friends, that would make her a loose end. I don’t leave loose ends." He explained like he was explaining why it was going to rain that day, but the horrific look he say on her face when he glanced at her told him a lot.
"Okay, relax." He cooed softly, rubbing her thigh softly. Due to how horrified she was, she couldn’t register the usual hot sensation his touch usually sent down up her spine and throughout her body.
"I don’t think I can." She admitted in a low tone.
"Of course you can, Bunny. Just breathe." He cooed softly, rubbing her thigh.
"You’d have killed her for real?" She asked, hoping he was going to say he was joking.
But he couldn’t do that.
"Yeah, I would have." He said without hesitation.
"Why?"
"Because, Bunny." He started, his gaze soft as he looks at her.
"Besides Theo, you’re an excellent judge of energy. If you couldn’t bond with her relatively well, then it could only mean she was either trying to play me, or she was hiding something. If she wasn’t a good person, do you know what she would’ve done with that information? That’s why I said she was loose end, Bunny. I didn’t say it because I’m a savage who kills people my mate doesn’t like.-"
"-I can be that and more though, depends on what your preferences are." He cooed, leaning down to kiss the edge of her mouth, causing her to flush almost immediately.
She turned away from him shyly to face the tinted window, as she pondered on his words, blushing again when she recalled his generous comment.
His point made absolute sense, which in all honesty couldn’t shock her. He was Tristan. Tristan Macgyver.
"You still owe me a lot of information." He teased as he drove out of the parking lot that was beginning to fill with cars.
"Oh please. Let it go." She said, pinching the back of his hand that rested on her thigh.
"Never." He said smiling lightly. "C’mon." He drawled. "We had a deal, remember?" He added.
Rolling her eyes, she released a short sigh. "Fine." She said. "Where do I start now?" She muttered to herself, causing Tristan to arch an eyebrow.
"There are so many?" He couldn’t help but ask.
"No, there are not. Now, shush. I need to arrange my thoughts." She gritted, giving him a side eye.
"Yes, ma’am." He chuckled, going quiet.
After a few seconds, she spoke up. "That’s true. Rumor has it that you guys were going to get married to Audrey, Beta Bellingham’s daughter." She said, looking up at him.
"Why does it say that?" He asked chuckling.
"Don’t act like you don’t know your mother dots on her like her actual daughter." She sassed, giving him a side eye.
"Still doesn’t explain the marriage part." He said regardless.
"During the mating event, almost all the males latched onto her, practically pleading she accepted one of them as her mate, even though it’s no news that she’s got hots for you, if not three of you." She explained, genuinely curious about what his reply was going to be.
She couldn’t help but wonder if Mia had heard this rumor as well. She hoped she did, unless it was going to be weird that she was the only one who did.
"That’s interesting." He said as he pondered on her words. " You know, Theo dislikes her seriously, and never skips an opportunity to show it, be it before her brother or anyone. He had even quarreled with Troy and I severally for egging her on.-"
"-Honestly, I knew she had a crush on us, and thought it was pretty normal since she’s a teenager, but I didn’t know it ran so deep that people actually think something is going to go on between us. I just saw her as a junior sister and hoped that one day she was eventually gonna realize that we were just being elder brothers to her and not potential mates. I don’t even think my mother will actually force us to get married to her. She is our baby sister." He explained, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Hmmm.." She sighed. "You said earlier that Theo is an excellent judge of energy, so why didn’t you guys listen to him?"
"Because, she’s our Beta’s sister, Bunny. And not just that, our entire family loves her like a daughter. Everyone except Theo. And it’s not all the time that you move away from people because they have bad energies. Some can be managed." He explained.
"Well, take this from me, Trist. Energies like hers cannot be managed. Once they take off, they don’t stop going haywire till they crash, and sometimes crashing could mean death."
