Fated to the Alpha's Sons: An Omegas Rise to Fame
Chapter 121: Voice.
CHAPTER 121: VOICE.
Tristan sat quietly, absorbing everything his mate said. Yes, it made sense, but not completely.
All his life, since Audrey was born. He had always seen her as the younger sister they couldn’t have because their mother’s womb collapsed after she gave birth to them.
And now he was meant to see her as a potential threat to his mate?
Everything Bethany and Theo had said would only make complete sense to him if he could check out things for himself, and that was what he was going to do. That was what he had to do.
Not because he didn’t trust the words of his beloved mate and brother, but because of his own conviction. It’s easier to deal with a threat when your conviction is very stable.
Sighing, he shoved the thought to the back of his mind, his curiosity taking the highest seat again.
"Okay. I’d think about that." He said, squeezing her lap, giving her a reassuring look as he glanced at her. In as much as he wasn’t completely convicted, he wasn’t going to let her feel like her position in their lives was under threat.
"Alright." She said, giving him a small smile.
"Yep. So, what else have you heard about me? That isn’t the only one, is it?" He asked with an arched eyebrow as he saw her face blank for a moment.
"No it isn’t. I’m just trying to recall the actual thing." She muttered, eyebrows furrowed as she thought. "Oh, I’ve got it." She said, a sly grin spread across her lips, causing him to chuckle in confusion when he saw it.
"Why do you have that look?" He chuckled, finding it quite hard to keep his eyes away from her face.
"Nothing." She said shrugging, but the amusement in her eyes told him that something was definitely up. "Your house is so far." She couldn’t help but comment.
Just then, he turned unto a long drive way, that led to a gigantic gate at the end of it.
Her lips dropped in awe as the massive gate opened up on their arrival to an equally massive building, that was designed to perfection.
"You’re lucky there are no flies in my car, Princess." He teased as he stopped before the stairs that led to the main entrance of the building, that couldn’t be called a house at this point.
"You can’t blame me!" She squeaked, giving him an incredulous look. "You’re the one who lives in a..hell I don’t know what to call it. You’re not a prince so it’s not a palace."
"Ouch!" He exclaimed, his palm on the right side of his chest. "That hurt, Bunny." He whined.
"Hurt?" She scoffed. "What hurts is the fact that you expect me to climb all those stairs!" She quipped, picking her purse as she unbuckled her seat belt.
"Where the hell are you going?" Tristan asked, not bothering to hide the amusement in his voice.
"I’m going to start climbing. Hopefully, I wouldn’t turn to Tarzan." She quipped, eyeing him before stepping out of the car.
Tristan chuckled speechlessly, shaking his head at her dramatics. How had his brothers not informed him that their mate was a fucking whiplash confused him.
Snatching his phone from the console, he left the car, nodding to the valet as the rounded it, flying up the stairs to where she was in a few seconds.
Without wasting a breath, he swiped her off her feet into his arms in a bridal style, causing her eyes to widen at him in alarm, her arms wrapping around his arm and neck subconsciously. His grin couldn’t be any less smug.
"Do you know why mansions have lots of stairs, Bunny?" He asked in low voice.
"I didn’t go to college, Dummy." She spat, giving him a bored look.
Ignoring her comment, he carried on with his sermon. "Staircases in mansions are like poems to chivalry where strong arms await to carry their women up and down every stair with devotion. Just like I’m doing right now, completely devoted to you." He concluded, placing her on her feet as they got to the top of the stairs, before the open massive shiny mahogany doors.
"Welcome to my home, Princess." He cooed, leading her into his mansion.
Bethany stood still in the foyer, eyes widened in awe as she took in the exquisite space.
The large chandelier that hung high up in the ceiling above them shed a warm glow on the area causing it to look beyond exquisite and alluring.
The shiny marble tiles reflected the glow making the space look even more majestic.
The large staircase by her right caught her attention, causing her to chuckle as Tristan’s earlier sermon flashed in her mind.
"Told ya." He quipped, following her eyes.
"This place is huge, Tristan. How do you live here?" She asked , facing him.
He shrugged, looking around the area.
"I’ve always had something for large homes. I don’t know why. They just get me, like, I feel comfortable in them, even though I don’t use most of the space for anything. My parents don’t even know I own something like this. Only the boys, our Beta and Gamma. We all come here every once in a while to plan or disappear." He pulled her close to his warm body, practically pressing her against his chest as his arms wrapped around her, her head beneath his nose, giving him perfect access to sniff her hair, filling his lungs with the faint scent of her shampoo, mixed with her scent.
"I’ve wanted to do this since I saw you." He admitted lowly as she practically melted in his arms, both of them basking in their warm bubble.
"I missed you." She muttered, enjoying the way warmth from his body seeped into her body easily, causing her wolf to purr incessantly.
"I missed you more, Princess." He said, softly, the lightness in his voice catching her off guard.
Unable to help it, she pulled back so she could look at his face.
"I’ve not heard that voice before."
