Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 11: Let’s Register Our Marriage at the Civil Affairs Bureau
CHAPTER 11: CHAPTER 11: LET’S REGISTER OUR MARRIAGE AT THE CIVIL AFFAIRS BUREAU
Even Timmy’s biological father can’t do that.
That man just planted a seed in her womb, why does he think he can come and fight her for her son now?
"Literally, it’s going to be inconvenient for you to hold Timmy while getting the medicine later. I’m a man, I can help you hold him for a while. It’s not difficult at all. Why argue with me in the hospital? People who don’t know might think I’m indifferent to my wife’s hardship."
"Who...who is your wife? Stop talking nonsense."
The people coming and going couldn’t help but steal a glance at this extremely good-looking family.
Ivana’s face turned even redder. How could this man just say whatever comes to his mind?
Like a scoundrel.
Leon Keane shrugged: "I can say nonsense all I want, but others will naturally see our faces and think we’re father and son. Timmy, don’t you think so?"
Timmy Monroe tilted his head, seriously looked at him, and suddenly grinned, showing his adorable baby teeth: "Uncle, are you chasing my mommy?"
Leon Keane’s face turned bright red in an instant.
Is this little guy really so clever?
Leon Keane coughed lightly twice: "If you want Uncle to chase your mommy, then Uncle will chase your mommy."
Timmy clapped his hands, excitedly saying: "Yay! Uncle’s chasing..." mommy.
Ivana covered Timmy’s cheering little mouth and glared at Leon Keane: "President Keane, you may be one of Ravenswood’s most prominent figures, but can you not mess around with us mother and son?"
Leon Keane frowned, a hint of displeasure flashing in his eyes: "You think I’m messing around with you and your son?"
Ivana was startled by his sudden cold gaze. How could this man change his expression so quickly?
Ivana mustered her courage and said: "What else? You really would marry me? Treat Timmy as your own son?"
Leon Keane’s unfathomable dark eyes looked at her as if trying to see through her.
Ivana felt a chill on her scalp under his gaze.
He suddenly spoke: "Do you want me to marry you?"
Ivana looked up in surprise. She just wanted him not to mess around with her and Timmy. When did she ever say she wanted him to marry her?
This man is really good at twisting people’s words.
Before Ivana could answer, Leon Keane continued: "Alright, after you pick up the medicine, we’ll go to the registry office and get the certificate."
Leon Keane startled her: "President Keane, you misunderstood, that’s not what I meant."
Leon Keane’s face was cold as he spoke in a tone that dropped to zero degrees: "You don’t want to marry me?"
Ivana was exasperated by Leon Keane’s questioning.
Come on now.
They’ve only known each other for two hours, even for a quick marriage, that’s a bit too fast.
Timmy quietly watched his mommy, feeling a bit conflicted. He really liked this uncle. The uncle had super high looks just like him, and more importantly, this uncle was just like the daddy he imagined, a big hero who could chase away those mean to mommy.
But judging by mommy’s expression, she didn’t seem keen on marrying this uncle!
"Thank you, President Keane, for helping us mother and son out today. I really love my current husband and never thought about divorcing him."
Ivana plucked up the courage to lie. While Leon Keane was dazed, she quickly scooped up Timmy and turned, running faster than a rabbit, as if Leon Keane was the big bad wolf ready to eat her.
She’s married?
Leon Keane stood upright, hearing her say she loved her current husband. A sudden discomfort hit him.
When they were bullied at The Sovereign, where was her husband?
Does such a man even deserve to be her husband?
Special Assistant Stern had dropped Ian off at the old house, and returned to The Sovereign. Upon hearing the president was at the hospital, he came rushing.
Finding Leon Keane in the hospital lobby, Special Assistant Stern was briefly elated before noticing something was wrong. The president’s face was icy cold, like he was exuding a chill just standing there.
Who had dared to offend their president?
Special Assistant Stern cautiously approached Leon Keane: "Pre...President Keane."
Leon Keane glanced at Special Assistant Stern, raised his loosely clenched right hand, and reached it out to Special Assistant Stern.
Special Assistant Stern widened his eyes, seeing a short black hair strand in Leon Keane’s hand.
He looked dumbfounded: "President Keane, this...this is..."
Leon Keane frowned, annoyed by Special Assistant Stern’s excessive talking.
His voice was cold as he said: "Take it for a DNA test, I want the results as soon as possible."
