CHAPTER 26: CHAPTER 26: I AM PRESIDENT KANE’S SON

Caleb Monroe finished speaking and hung up the phone.

"Dad, thank you." Michelle Monroe showed a triumphant smile, affectionately hooking Caleb Monroe’s arm, resting her face on his shoulder like a dutiful daughter.

That bitch Ivana Monroe, after causing trouble at GK, claimed she twisted her ankle and is hiding like a turtle in its shell.

This bitch is now a notorious wicked woman on the internet, hiding at home and never stepping out, what a shame.

Caleb Monroe looked at Michelle Monroe with fatherly love and sighed, "Your sister has brought ruin upon herself. If she was half as sensible as you, things wouldn’t have turned out this way."

Michelle Monroe replied, "Dad, don’t be upset. Zachary and I will take care of you and Mom in the future."

Caleb Monroe nodded with satisfaction.

Michelle Monroe turned around and sent the address to Ivana Monroe, along with a message: Sister, make sure your blessings for me tomorrow are genuine and heartfelt! The host has specifically arranged for you to go on stage, right after Zachary and I exchange wedding rings. By the way, if you cause any trouble, believe me, Grandfather will be driven to anger by you. He still doesn’t know about your online scandal!

Michelle Monroe felt smug after sending the message, her mouth curled up in pride.

Tomorrow, she has a super surprise gift for Ivana Monroe, that bitch.

She has arranged for Katherine to bring over several media outlets, and also had Katherine secretly message a hundred or so netizens who hate Ivana Monroe, inciting them to gang up against her.

Those violent netizens can do anything, tearing Ivana Monroe’s clothes, with a hundred people joining in, it’d be best if they beat Ivana to a pulp!

If this scene gets photographed by the media and broadcasted, both on television and the internet, can Ivana Monroe still face staying in Ravenswood?

Just the thought of it made Michelle Monroe feel thrilled, extremely thrilled.

Ivana Monroe clenched her phone tightly, feeling utterly disappointed with her father Caleb Monroe. As for Michelle Monroe, Ivana could guess some of her ulterior motives.

If there’s anything she still cherishes about the Monroe family, it’s her grandfather... Gavin Monroe.

Gavin Monroe doted on her, from childhood to adulthood, always saving the best things for her. After her mother passed away and Jean Shaw officially joined the Monroe family, her grandfather feared she’d suffer under her stepmother, proposing to Caleb Monroe that she stay and live in the old house with him.

Back then, though she resented Jean Shaw, she never hated Michelle Monroe because her mother always taught her that it was adults who made mistakes, not children.

Thus, she treated Michelle Monroe as her real sister. Michelle would act sweetly, saying that she’d feel lonely and uncomfortable if Ivana left, and that she couldn’t bear seeing her go. Ivana believed her, so she didn’t go to the old house with her grandfather, even when enduring grievances in front of Jean Shaw. When Michelle came to comfort her, she’d forget the resentment.

Looking back now, she realizes that back then, she was a fool, played like a puppet by Jean Shaw and Michelle Monroe.

At the time, Michelle Monroe wasn’t unwilling to see her leave; she was afraid that if Ivana went with her grandfather to the old house, she wouldn’t be able to use Ivana’s opportunity to get close to Zachary Heston.

Her grandfather had once told her not to let Michelle get too close to Zachary Heston. She didn’t listen.

She trusted Michelle and arrogantly believed that Zachary loved her so much, he cherished her dearly, and wouldn’t be tempted by other women outside, let alone do something shockingly disgraceful with his sister-in-law.

Thinking about the past brought Ivana Monroe to tears. After being away for six years, she wondered how the health of the elderly man who once loved her so dearly was now?

The next day.

Ivana Monroe put on a black V-neck dress, styled her black hair into an updo, and wore light makeup to attend Michelle Monroe’s wedding.

"Mommy, you look so beautiful today!" Timmy Monroe was awestruck, a swell of pride in his heart for having such a beautiful mommy.

Ivana Monroe smiled gently, "Mommy has to go out for a while. I’ve prepared your lunch; it’s in the fridge. When you want to eat, just heat it in the microwave."

Ivana wasn’t planning to bring Timmy Monroe to Michelle Monroe’s wedding today. She could choose another time to take Timmy to see his grandfather but today was definitely not the day.

Today, Michelle Monroe had set a trap for her.

Timmy Monroe obediently nodded, "I’ll stay home and be good. Mommy, where are you having lunch?"

Ivana Monroe casually mentioned the hotel where Michelle Monroe’s wedding was to Timmy, without thinking much of it.

Ivana left the house and hailed a taxi to the hotel.

Timmy waited a while, then put on his shoes and left the house himself, stopping a cab on the road.

The taxi driver assumed an adult had sent Timmy to hail the cab, and seeing Timmy get on by himself, he asked, "Little boy, where’s your mom or dad? Why are you alone?"

Timmy took out a business card from his pocket. "My dad is at work and can’t come pick me up. Sir, please take me to..."

Timmy stated the address on the card, his childish voice adding, "When we get to my dad’s company, he’ll pay you, sir."

The driver quickly understood, realizing the child didn’t have money on him. Since he was heading in the same direction, he took Timmy to Kane Group.

Timmy got out of the taxi, telling the driver, "Sir, please wait a moment. I’ll find my dad to pay you."

Timmy ran into Kane Group, where the luxurious marble reception area stood, with several pretty female receptionists lined up, smiling brightly.

"Aunties, I need to see your President Kane, it’s urgent."

The receptionists’ expressions froze.

One receptionist complained, "Auntie? Who’s your auntie? There’s no auntie here, out, out."

She was only twenty-seven and had dated her boyfriend for two years without marrying yet! And this brat called her auntie?

Seeing the heavily made-up ’auntie’ upset, Timmy corrected himself, "Sister, miss sister, can you please take me to your President Kane?"

Several receptionists stifled laughs, finding both the boy handsome and witty, his address of "miss sister" sweet enough to melt.

The twenty-seven-year-old receptionist also laughed, "That’s better, but calling me miss sister is useless. President Kane is such a distinguished person; we don’t have the courage to take you to see him."

Another receptionist asked Timmy, "Little boy, who are you to President Kane? Why are you looking for him? You can tell us, and we’ll pass the message to him after work, okay?"

Timmy shook his head, "No, it’s too late. My mommy might be bullied to death by bad people."

Timmy bit his tender lips, determined to see Leon Keane, he said, "I am President Kane’s son."

The receptionists looked at Timmy in shock, noticing how much Timmy resembled President Kane, like a miniature version.

One receptionist picked up the phone to dial the president’s office but was stopped by another receptionist.

The hostile receptionist glared at Timmy, "Your mommy is Ivana Monroe, right? You’re the child Ivana made to resemble President Kane by cosmetic surgery."

"I really admire your mommy’s shamelessness, wanting to use you to climb up to President Kane, from a nobody to a somebody? Spit! A nobody will always be a nobody. And you, dreaming of becoming the young prince of Kane Group, get out."
