Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 350: Young Madam?
CHAPTER 350: CHAPTER 350: YOUNG MADAM?
"Money, money, money, Wayne, is that all you see? I’ve given you so much money, do you have any humanity?"
"You filthy bitch, talking to me about humanity? No money means no humanity, without money there’s no life, if people are dead, what’s humanity good for? If you’re broke now, get as far away from me as you can. I’m sick of that pile of flesh on you already."
"Wayne, you’re a bastard."
Kiki screamed furiously.
On the other side, Wayne had already hung up, a bastard is just a bastard, Kiki wasn’t the first woman to call him that, he felt nothing at all.
Besides, a woman like Kiki, after she loses her value, is no different from a nightclub girl in his eyes.
Oh!
There is a difference.
Nightclub girls have much better figures than Kiki, more prominent curves, much better than Kiki by unknown multiples!
Kiki’s mother returned from grocery shopping to find Kiki throwing a fit in her room, so rushed in without even putting the groceries down.
Kiki now lives not in a villa but in a two-bedroom apartment, with rent around fifteen hundred a month, and the soundproofing is poor, so her mother could hear Kiki’s voice clearly.
"Kylie, what’s wrong?"
"Nothing."
Kiki lowered her head, wiping away tears; she couldn’t tell her mother such things, nor did she want her mother to know.
"How can it be nothing? You’re crying."
Her mother was very worried about her daughter.
"I’m not crying, just got something in my eye, rubbed it a bit. Mom, I’m fine."
To prove she was okay, Kiki lifted her head, smiled at her mother, and suddenly saw her mother carrying meat and vegetables, one transparent plastic bag containing three dirty potatoes.
"Mom, why did you go to the dirty market to buy groceries?"
Kiki said in surprise.
Her mother loved cleanliness and never went to such places, preferring even occasional home-cooking to have the maid clean and chop the vegetables first.
Her mother’s eyes flickered, feeling waves of heartache, but she smiled awkwardly, pretending nothing was wrong: "The market isn’t as dirty as you say. I think it’s good, picking out the vegetables myself, eating at ease."
Kiki felt terrible, Dad’s bankruptcy meant the Jennings family wasn’t what it used to be.
Kiki’s eyes reddened, holding back tears, as she stepped to her mother’s side: "Mom, let me help you."
Her mother was greatly shocked, looked at Kiki in amazement, as if her daughter had suddenly grown up: "No, no need, Mom can do it."
Kiki reached out and took the groceries from her mother’s hand: "Mom, I just want to help you, let Kylie help you!"
Her mother was moved to tears: "Okay."
Mother and daughter made dinner, waiting for Kiki’s father to come home, but even when the food was cold, he still hadn’t returned.
Kiki’s stomach growled.
Her mother told Kiki to eat first, and she made a call to Kiki’s father.
"When are you coming back? The food’s gone cold."
"I won’t be home for lunch, you eat."
"Huh? So you’re having lunch outside?"
"Yeah."
After hanging up, Kiki’s father had an aching stomach as he stood outside a large restaurant, waiting for people to come out. His company had gone bankrupt, but there were still unpaid invoices worth millions to collect. Previously, the sales department handled collections, but now it was his turn.
It’s not a big deal to endure some hardship?
Kiki’s father only hoped to receive the payments smoothly; right now, he had nothing, but with those funds, he could at least provide an ordinary life for his family.
Otherwise, life would be impossible.
Kiki’s father harbored another secret: he had called all his former "friends" for a small loan to get by, but they all refused, except one who revealed his company’s downfall was somehow tied to Leon Keane.
Kiki’s father was puzzled because he and the Kane family had always been good, why would Leon target him? Could it be a conflict with Kylie?
That didn’t make sense! Kylie wasn’t a quarrelsome girl who would annoy men.
Kiki’s father felt a migraine; he planned to collect the money today and then visit the Kanes to ask Leon directly.
Ward, regular room.
Lucas Pierce received the money and secured the XiaoWeixin transfer contract; he was extremely excited, full of ambition and ready to make a big move.
Lucas wasn’t actually injured; he stayed in the hospital to obtain these things, and now that he had them, he couldn’t wait to be discharged.
"You all go first, I’ll take the bus back myself."
Old Mr. Price suddenly said.
"Okay, Grandpa, be careful while taking the bus!"
"Good grandson, Grandpa will be careful."
Preston and Lucas left, not caring whether it was appropriate for an elderly person to take the bus; in their eyes, only XiaoWeixin and money mattered.
They even felt that taking time to send Mr. Price back was a waste; now that he offered to take the bus, it was perfect.
Old Mr. Price felt deeply moved, thinking his eldest grandson cared more about him than any other family member.
Old Mr. Price didn’t go to catch a bus; instead, he went upstairs.
He recognized the VIP room with bodyguards standing outside; it was the one Preston had mentioned.
Old Mr. Price approached but was stopped by the guards.
"Let me through, do you know who I am? I am your President Kane’s grandfather." Old Mr. Price said proudly.
"Sorry, sir, even if you are President Kane’s grandfather, we can’t let you in unless you call him now."
"Who do you think you are? Forcing me to call Leon Keane? I’ll call him?" Old Mr. Price was angry; he knew Leon wouldn’t care about him, so he had no intention of playing along. He dialed Leon’s mother’s phone.
When connected.
"Dad?"
"I’m outside the VIP room, want to see Ian, but these damn guards won’t let me in. Talk to them."
Old Mr. Price handed the phone to the guards.
Leon’s mother thought Old Mr. Price came to her room; she felt particularly moved, assuming he had come to see her. She gestured to Aunt Lee to open the door, but outside there was no sign of Old Mr. Price.
Upon hearing the guards, she realized Old Mr. Price was outside Ivana Monroe’s room, mistaking Timmy for Ian.
Leon’s mother felt a complex mix of emotions.
"I’m Leon Keane’s mother, you hear me? Let him in and tell Ivana that brat... tell Ivana to mind her words, and don’t annoy my old man."
The guards were very troubled.
"Madam, President Kane ordered that apart from Grandpa Gu, no one is allowed into the young madam’s room."
"Young madam?"
Leon’s mother suddenly raised her voice.
