Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 521: Trying to Drive Me to Death? I’ll Grant Your Wish
CHAPTER 521: CHAPTER 521: TRYING TO DRIVE ME TO DEATH? I’LL GRANT YOUR WISH
Just as expected.
Ivy Linden’s words just now were only to probe Scarlett Lawrence.
Looking at the furious Scarlett, Ivy calmly said, "I don’t like Howard Yeats, and there’s no possibility with him."
Scarlett scoffed, "You think I’ll believe that?"
"Believe it or not, it’s up to you. I just want to tell you, if you truly like Howard, there’s a good way to get close to him now, why not seize this opportunity?"
"What are you saying? Ivy Linden, I’m warning you, don’t think about setting a trap for me to fall into. I’m not that dumb!"
She did want to get close to Howard Yeats; the man was too handsome, too outstanding, and most importantly, rich.
Scarlett had spent a lot of effort but had never succeeded in getting close to Howard Yeats, and she hated Ivy Linden for it.
She would never believe that Ivy Linden would kindly let her get close to Howard Yeats.
She feared that just letting Ivy Linden out, Ivy would run to Howard Yeats and bite her back hard.
Scarlett shook her head internally; she couldn’t fall for Ivy Linden’s ploys.
Ivy Linden laughed, face pale, "If you let me go out, and I go in front of Howard, I just need to tell him that I spent the night with Samuel Lockwood, lowered his guard, and that’s how you had the chance to take me out. Do you think Howard would still like me?"
A strange light flashed in Scarlett’s eyes, and her heart skipped a beat.
Ah! Ah! Ah!
Such a good plan, why hadn’t she thought of it?
No matter how much Howard Yeats likes Ivy Linden, he couldn’t accept her betrayal, right?
To escape, Ivy Linden surrendered to Samuel Lockwood; surely Howard wouldn’t be able to take it, and he and Ivy Linden would be over.
The more Scarlett thought about it, the more excited she became. She would be Ivy Linden’s "lifesaver" and naturally get close to Howard Yeats; she would also have a reason to appear before Howard Yeats in the future.
"Ivy Linden, you’re just a coward afraid of death."
Scarlett looked at Ivy Linden with contempt.
"Yes! I’m afraid to die. I have a daughter to care for; no man is more important than my life."
After Ivy Linden finished speaking, Samuel Lockwood pushed the door open and came in.
"What are you doing here?"
He was holding breakfast, his gaze sharply fixing on Scarlett.
Scarlett jumped in fright, her expression somewhat flustered.
Samuel narrowed his dark eyes, strode over, and pinched Scarlett’s neck, "Are you trying to sneak her out behind my back?"
Scarlett was easily frightened and said hastily, "It wasn’t me, it was your wife who wanted to run away. She wanted me to let her go so she could be with Howard Yeats forever."
Ivy Linden’s expression changed, "Scarlett, you’re lying."
Scarlett shook her head, "I’m not lying. She even said being with Howard at night was much better than being with you. All she wants in this life is to be with Howard. She also called you a beast, sticking to her even after the divorce."
Samuel’s hand slipped, and the breakfast dropped to the floor. His dark eyes flashed with a fierce light.
Ivy Linden’s head roared. Scarlett using such venomous methods to frame her, it would kill her.
"Get out of here."
Samuel flung her off, and Scarlett fell to the ground.
She cried in pain, not daring to stay a moment longer, quickly got up, and fled the room.
Hearing the door slam shut, then Ivy Linden’s shouting voice from inside, Scarlett’s heart quivered slightly, but there wasn’t a hint of guilt.
She couldn’t be blamed.
Who asked Samuel to come back so soon?
She panicked, and besides putting everything on Ivy Linden, she had no other way.
Since she chose to shift the blame, there wasn’t anything holding her back, saying whatever came to mind? Didn’t Ivy Linden just say to deceive Howard? In the heat of the moment, she misspoke, but that couldn’t be her fault!
If anyone was to blame, it was Ivy Linden’s bad luck that when she wavered, Samuel came in.
It was fate!
Fate preventing Ivy Linden’s escape.
Inside the room.
"Samuel Lockwood, you beast, don’t touch me, don’t touch me..."
Ivy Linden screamed hysterically, to no avail, as her clothes were quickly stripped by Samuel.
She was tied up, unable to resist, tears streaming from her eyes, while Samuel seemed not to see, like an enraged beast.
"Ivy Linden, you bitch, I don’t even mind your filth, and you’re pretending to be virtuous?" Samuel was madly jealous, wanting to stay pure for Howard Yeats? Dream on!
Even if she was someone he, Samuel Lockwood, didn’t want, he wouldn’t let some other man have her.
Pushing Ivy Linden down, he was about to succeed.
"Samuel Lockwood, do you want to drive me to death? Then I’ll grant your wish."
Despair filled Ivy’s eyes as she bit down hard, and blood flowed out.
Samuel quickly pinched her cheeks, full of anger, "Ivy Linden, you’re daring to bite your tongue? Telling you, it’s all lies from TV dramas, biting your tongue won’t kill you, it’ll just make you mute."
With intense pain in her cheeks, Ivy could only let go of her tongue, her mouth filled with blood, which flowed from her lips, dripping onto Samuel’s hand, the warm blood almost scorching his skin.
Samuel’s heart was filled with hate for the woman he used to love so much, who now, for another man, would rather die than let him touch her.
No way!
He had to find something to gag her, he was determined to have her today.
This woman should belong to him.
Seeing the tie on the bed, as he reached for it, the phone rang.
It was a call from his mother.
Samuel frowned, releasing Ivy Linden, "If you end up mute, Nicole’s custody will fully belong to me. Think it over. Next time you bite your tongue, I won’t stop you."
Ivy Linden’s tongue throbbed with pain, but it couldn’t compare to the pain in her heart.
"Mom, didn’t I tell you not to call unless it’s important? I’m very busy."
"Oh dear! You’re always busy, aren’t you even caring about Wendy?"
"Doesn’t she have you?"
"I’m just an old lady. Wendy needs you, her husband! You come back right now. Wendy managed to keep this baby, and the doctor said she can’t be agitated at all. You stay with her until she safely delivers."
Inside, Samuel sneered coldly. That child was wanted by his mother, not him. Why should he accompany Wendy Quinn?
If not for Wendy Quinn, he and Ivy Linden wouldn’t have been driven to this extent.
Just as he was about to retort, his dark eyes caught Ivy Linden lying on the bed, and jealousy surged within him. This woman would leave with Nicole and immediately hook up with Howard Yeats; he had no reason to abandon his flesh and blood for her.
True, he didn’t like Wendy Quinn, but the child was innocent.
"Tell Wendy Quinn to take good care of the fetus, and I’ll go back to accompany her in three days."
"You said it, in three days, I must see you at the hospital with Wendy."
Samuel’s mother was overjoyed, initially thinking her son would be very resistant and unwilling to come back to accompany Wendy Quinn. Unexpectedly, Samuel agreed—had he come to his senses?
