Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 574: Want to Give Birth Abroad
CHAPTER 574: CHAPTER 574: WANT TO GIVE BIRTH ABROAD
"Ivana, how are you doing? Is your face very painful? I’ll find some ice to help reduce the swelling."
Fawn was filled with regret; she shouldn’t have gone out shopping. If she hadn’t, none of this would’ve happened to Ivana.
"No need, I wasn’t hit. He came in time. The man didn’t get a chance to hit me before Leon beat him badly."
Ivana glanced at Leon. This man was too fierce; he directly broke the guy’s wrist and dislocated his nose. That man might have to get it fixed and undergo cosmetic surgery again.
"Didn’t I tell you to wait for me where you were?"
Leon frowned, fear gripping his heart. If he had been a split second late, Ivana could have been slapped by that man; the thought alone was unbearable, piercing his heart.
"How could Ivana wait for you? Do you know how bad her situation is?"
Fawn rolled her eyes at Leon, feeling indignant. He wasn’t entirely blameless for today’s events; on the contrary, all this started because of him.
Leon’s heart suddenly sank, seeing Ivana hooked up to an IV drip. He guessed that it was probably to protect the pregnancy, his fingers tightened, then loosened as he sat by her bedside, holding her free hand.
"I need to hear from you about your current health condition."
"I’m experiencing a threatened miscarriage and need hospitalization to ensure the baby’s safety."
Ivana’s eyes were somewhat dazed, contemplating how Leon’s mother was willing to harm this child; her heart ached intensely. Maybe that’s how Leon’s mother treated Timmy back then?
She couldn’t believe Leon’s mother didn’t know about Timmy’s existence but chose Ian, abandoning Timmy.
Leon’s mother was genuinely ruthless.
Leon noticed Ivana’s depressed mood and felt anxious, gripping her small hand tightly: "Our child inherited our strength and resilience; everything will be fine."
Ivana kept her head down, silent, her heart filled with bitterness.
No matter how resilient the child is, can he withstand multiple attacks from Leon’s mother?
"Honey, I want to discuss something with you."
"What’s that?"
"I want to give birth abroad."
"Sure, I’ll book the best maternity hospital in Meridia for you right now, and we’ll head over a month before your due date."
Ivana shook her head at Leon.
"I want to move there next month, rent a house first. The air in Meridia isn’t inferior to Ravenswood; I could have a peaceful delivery there."
"That sounds good, Ivana. I’ll go take care of you."
Fawn volunteered boldly, unable to stay in this place given Leon’s mother.
"No."
Leon disagreed; he couldn’t leave Ravenswood temporarily, nor could he let Ivana leave his sight.
"What if... I have to go?"
Ivana said firmly.
After experiencing this event, she had to leave Ravenswood to safely deliver this child, which was supposed to come into the world under everyone’s anticipation. Yet, fate seemed to mirror the destiny of its two brothers.
She wouldn’t let this child suffer even a bit.
Leon looked at Ivana and fell silent.
The hospital director walked in again, sensing the tense atmosphere in the room, he cautiously said to Leon: "President Kane, I apologize sincerely. Our staff were ignorant and didn’t recognize Young Madam Kane, leading to her assignment to this ordinary room. I’m deeply sorry; I’ve arranged for the advanced suite right next to the old Madam’s room. Should we move Young Madam Kane there now?"
"I’ve also arranged for our best obstetricians to be on call 24/7 to serve Young Madam Kane."
Ivana saw Leon’s lack of response, feeling a chill in her heart, was this what it meant? Unable to control the obstruction from Leon’s mother, yet not allowing her to leave?
"I’ll stay in this room; it’s fine."
Ivana told the director.
The director was taken aback, forcing a smile: "Young Madam Kane must be joking. How can this room be considered good? It doesn’t even have a bathroom; the advanced suite has a private bathroom, separate family bed, sofa, and television."
"I’m not joking; I’m staying here."
Ivana looked seriously at the director.
This caused awkwardness for the director, especially seeing Leon’s face growing colder, beads of sweat began to form on his forehead.
What happened to Young Madam Kane? Was she having a row with President Kane?
Fawn couldn’t take it anymore, telling Leon: "Leon, if you’re unaware of today’s events, I’ll inform you now."
"Fawn."
Ivana shook her head at her.
"Ivana, you don’t need to cover for Leon’s mother; Leon has to handle this matter. If he doesn’t handle it well, I suggest you divorce him. We managed well with Timmy before, didn’t we?"
Leon’s dark eyes shot a cold glance at Fawn.
Fawn’s heart trembled, feeling a bit intimidated by Leon, but she had to speak for Ivana.
"The Grand Madam, that’s your grandmother, tricked Ivana with a message, taking the two kids to the old family residence. It’s not solely your grandmother’s responsibility; your mother instigated her to do so and deceived Timmy and Ian, cornering Ivana alone..."
The director was shocked, hearing this halfway: "I’m pressed, need the restroom."
Finding an excuse, he left; family matters of President Kane are best unheard.
Fawn rattled on, angrily recounting everything that happened in the Kane family home, questioning Leon furiously: "Leon, do you understand now? I think you have to choose between your mother and Ivana; one can’t be greedy. If you favor your mother, then let Ivana go."
Ivana kept silent, listening quietly, never considering divorce with Leon, but his continued ignorance would break her heart.
Leon was silent for a moment, looking at Ivana: "Trust me, I’ll handle this matter."
"How soon?" Ivana asked.
"Very soon."
Ivana nodded.
"Leon, you’ve said it; I heard you. If you can’t do it, don’t blame me for taking Ivana away."
Leon stayed with Ivana for half an hour, suddenly remembering that Timmy was still with a stranger woman.
"Honey, I need to make a call."
Leon didn’t mention Timmy to Ivana, not wanting her to worry.
Stepping outside the room.
Leon dialed the stranger woman’s number: "I am Timmy’s dad; give me your address, I’ll send someone over to bring Timmy back."
The person replied: "No need, I have a car; give me your address, I’ll bring Timmy over right now."
Leon hesitated for a few seconds, ultimately giving the hospital’s address to the woman.
The woman looked at Timmy’s handsome little face, reluctantly said: "Cutie, your dad called; I have to return you, I’m really reluctant to let you go!"
"Pretty sister, I study at Wellbright Kindergarten; if you miss me, you can visit me there."
