Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 58: Mrs. Alden Apologizes
CHAPTER 58: CHAPTER 58: MRS. ALDEN APOLOGIZES
"Over the line?" Ivana Monroe’s beautiful face suddenly turned cold. "You accused my child in front of the whole class of deliberately breaking a toy, without any basis. Don’t you think that’s over the line? You kept my child in class, called me into your office, and under the guise of being for the child’s own good, you pried into my private affairs and slandered my child. Don’t you think that’s over the line?"
Robin Alden argued, "I asked Timmy Monroe if the toy broke in his hands, he said yes, and other children said they saw him break it. I’m just a kindergarten teacher, not a detective. Of course, I would mistakenly believe that he broke the toy."
"My intention was good, I didn’t mean to slander Timmy Monroe. This parent is really making things up. Besides, I’ve already apologized to the child in front of all the classmates, where does that leave our teacher’s dignity? How should we handle it if other children make mistakes in the future?"
"Nobody is a saint, everyone makes mistakes. Have you never made a mistake in your life? Is it that after making one mistake, one deserves to die? Doesn’t deserve forgiveness?"
Robin Alden began to argue for herself, and in the end, she shifted all responsibility away. She thought she was justified.
Ivana Monroe was amused by Robin Alden’s argument. She’s making things up? Is this what Wellbright’s kindergarten teachers are like? Quite influential worldviews.
Wrong is wrong. If a child is wronged in front of the whole class, they should be made right, but to save face, one doesn’t dare to admit their mistake in front of the kids.
Such people are not fit to be teachers.
Robin Alden’s latter comments were even more remarkable. Everyone makes mistakes, so when Robin Alden makes a mistake, she can righteously question her, righteously believe that making a mistake deserves forgiveness?
Ivana Monroe was no longer interested in debating with someone with such a ghastly worldview as Robin Alden. It was pointless.
And engaging in meaningless debates won’t truly make Robin Alden realize her mistake.
So far, Ivana Monroe hadn’t seen any expression from Robin Alden that showed she knew she’d done wrong. She had merely under pressure, reluctantly said a sorry to Timmy.
"Mrs. Alden, you have your reasons and excuses. I don’t have time to quarrel with you. If by tomorrow you don’t inform the whole class of the situation and sincerely apologize to Timmy." Ivana’s lips curled up. "Then, unfortunately, these three videos might end up in the principal’s hands, and if the principal can’t handle it, I’ll go to the Department of Education."
Ivana held Timmy’s little hand and walked in the direction of outside the school.
Robin Alden turned pale and her heart trembled violently at the mention of the principal and the Department of Education.
"Wait, Timmy’s mom..." Robin Alden chased after Ivana, suddenly changing her attitude, smiling at Ivana. "Everything can be discussed. I will apologize to Timmy in front of the whole class tomorrow. This is indeed my oversight, I admit my mistake."
Ivana raised an eyebrow. It seems threatening the other party’s interests is the most effective method.
Robin Alden continued, "Timmy’s mom, you see, I have agreed to your request, so you should delete those three videos! They just take up memory in your phone, right?"
Ivana gave a faint smile, "No worries, I have plenty of space on my phone. I don’t have anything else to store, just these three videos. Whether they can be deleted depends on Mrs. Alden’s future behavior."
Mrs. Alden was furious, but she didn’t dare to react, having Ivana hold something over her. She could only smile wryly, "Please rest assured, Timmy’s mom, I, Robin Alden, can swear on my whole family that this kind of thing will never happen again."
She only swore on this one thing, she couldn’t control anything else, like if Franklin Young continued to harass Timmy Monroe, or if they clashed and he impulsively hit Timmy.
If such things happen in the future, she’ll just turn a blind eye.
Ivana frowned, swearing on her whole family?
Does Robin Alden’s whole family owe her something since she simply swears on them?
Ivana suddenly felt very disgusted by people like Robin Alden.
Robin Alden saw Ivana leave with Timmy without a word, she stomped her feet angrily, "It’s too much, I’ve sworn on my whole family, what else does she want?"
Robin Alden’s eyes turned red with anger, she feared Ivana would let those three videos get out.
Outside the school.
Timmy Monroe looked up, blinking his eyes, and asked in a soft voice, "Mommy, is the Department of Education very powerful?"
Ivana Monroe smiled gently, "Yes! All schools, principals, and teachers in Ravenswood are subject to the Ravenswood Department of Education. The Department of Education will protect all kind-hearted students."
Timmy Monroe said innocently, "That’s great."
The next day.
Ivana Monroe dropped Timmy off at "Wellbright Kindergarten," then went to the company in the morning.
Jacobs compiled the data from the past six years and handed it along with two resignation letters to Ivana Monroe, "Ivana, here’s the data I compiled last night, plus the two resignation letters from the design department employees that I got this morning."
Ivana Monroe took the thick data and resignation letters, put the data aside, and glanced through the contents. The reasons for the two resignations were similar, stating GK’s salary was too low and couldn’t meet their daily expenses, so they had to switch jobs to companies with better pay and development prospects.
Ivana Monroe sneered, threw the resignation letters on the desk.
"Ivana, these two people were chummy with Katherine, and their designs were a mess. Now that Katherine is gone, they can’t keep going and had to resign." Jacobs was disgusted by these two designers. With their skills? Only at GK, under someone like Katherine who flatters their way up, could they earn such a high salary. Outside, no trendy clothing company would take them.
Jacobs knew another thing. When Katherine was around, she rejected skilled designers’ works, instead using the crappy designs from these two. Later, a skilled designer, irritated, submitted samples to outside companies. These two, unwilling to be outdone, also sent their designs elsewhere, only for their garbage designs to be returned.
These two were unhappy about it, so they reported the skilled designer to Katherine, which led to a pointed rebuke about taking private projects at a meeting the day Ivana arrived, which was really aimed at the skilled designer.
Jacobs relayed this information to Ivana.
Ivana’s smile turned colder, "A single rat can spoil a whole pot of porridge. I see. Don’t worry about them, if anyone else in the design department wants to resign, let them. Arrange some recruitments these days, I want you to personally go to the talent market to find designers with potential."
