CHAPTER 8: CHAPTER 8: WATCH YOUR WORDS

Michelle Monroe felt Zachary Heston’s gaze on her.

Her fair face flushed red, secretly delighted, her eyes filled with tenderness and timidity as she met his gaze, as if she was genuinely concerned for Leon Keane’s wellbeing, fearing he might be deceived.

Leon Keane felt a sense of sarcasm in his heart, the Ivana Monroe they spoke of was certainly the woman protecting his son. Regardless of her past indiscretions, her willingness to stand up for his son obligated him to protect her.

Leon Keane coldly directed at Jean Shaw: "You seem to know a lot about nightclubs, you must frequently visit for their filthy business!"

Jean Shaw’s expression changed, furious and livid: "Leon Keane, you’ve gone too far. I was kindly looking out for you, and you insult me?"

Leon Keane chuckled coldly: "Sorry, I didn’t see your kindness, only your malicious heart."

Jean Shaw was fuming, raising her hand, intending to slap Leon Keane’s face hard, but was firmly grabbed by Caleb Monroe.

Caleb Monroe was also infuriated, his whole body trembling, yet he hadn’t lost his reason like Jean Shaw.

Leon Keane in Ravenswood, provoking him would bring catastrophic disaster to his years of efforts.

"President Kane, you’ve misunderstood my mother..." Michelle Monroe attempted to ease the tension.

Leon Keane impatiently interrupted her: "Whether I misunderstood your mother or not, you’re the most aware. Sorting a child’s face with surgery, such a cruel thing you can think of, surely you’ve inherited your mother’s black heart. But there’s one thing you’re better at than your mother."

Michelle Monroe’s small face turned pale, her eyes filled with grievances and tears, as though Leon Keane had hugely misunderstood her.

Zachary Heston’s face turned grim: "Leon Keane, mind your manners when speaking!"

Leon Keane laughed without care, ignoring Zachary Heston, and said to Michelle Monroe: "You’re young, acting like a white lotus, pretending to be a scheming bitch, outperforming your mother greatly. Rest assured seeing the fools around you."

Manner is reserved for those with manners.

There’s no need for manners with such heartless mother and daughter.

Michelle Monroe, having lived this long, had never been shattered with such humiliation, tears fell down as she sobbed.

Zachary Heston, full of youthful spirit, seeing Michelle Monroe so wronged, with Leon Keane calling him an idiot, couldn’t bear it any longer, swung his fist aiming at Leon Keane’s handsome face.

Leon Keane’s eyes darkened, instinctively shielding the small boy in his embrace, turning to protect him from Zachary Heston’s punch.

Seeing the president about to be hit, Manager Hamilton swiftly kicked Zachary Heston in the unguarded stomach, sending him crouching on the ground, clutching his stomach in pain, face contorted.

Manager Hamilton brushed his thumb against his nose, imitating Bruce Lee: "Ah-ta, not opening your dog eyes to see where you are? Dare to mess with our President, you’re looking for trouble."

While Jean Shaw attempted to engage President Kane, Manager Hamilton remained vigilant, and Caleb Monroe, being an old fox, stopped Jean Shaw beforehand.

Zachary Heston was indeed young and impulsive, creating an opportunity for Manager Hamilton to deliver a kick.

Caleb Monroe and Jean Shaw were both frightened.

Michelle Monroe was also scared, stopped crying, paled, crouching on the ground, holding Zachary Heston: "Zachary, are you okay? Let’s go to the hospital."

Jean Shaw, snapping back to reality, her fingers trembled, pointing at Manager Hamilton who hit someone: "Call the police, call the police, he assaulted someone, call to arrest him."

Leon Keane noticed Ivana Monroe beside him, her face pale, her petite body trembling uncontrollably, while the expression of the little boy in his arms was dazed, seemingly frightened by Zachary Heston’s sudden punch.

Leon Keane frowned, holding Timmy Monroe, freeing a hand to embrace Ivana Monroe, protecting both under his arm, moving them to a safe place.

Manager Hamilton, quick-eyed and swift-handed, immediately pulled out a walkie-talkie to call the security: "There are some mad dogs here trying to bite the president, hurry to shoo them away."

These people daring to cause a ruckus at The Sovereign, and one daring to challenge President Kane, what are they if not mad dogs?

A group of security guards rapidly dashed out from various entrances.

"Mad dogs? Where are the mad dogs, Manager Hamilton?"

The security personnel came in, unable to find any dogs.

"Are you blind? There are several mad dogs standing over there, can’t you see them?" Manager Hamilton pointed at Zachary Heston’s group, feigning to scold the security.

The security guards were startled, realizing it was some clueless people offending the president.

The security guards rushed over fiercely.

One sharp-eyed security guard spotted the cleaner’s mop, dashed over, picked up the mop, swept it onto Jean Shaw’s head and face: "Old bitch, dare to rampage at The Sovereign? See my dog-beating skill..."

"Ah~" Jean Shaw screamed, hiding into Caleb Monroe’s embrace.

Being called an old bitch by a security, how could she swallow this humiliation, cursing like a shrew: "You pauper, dare to hit me? I’ll sue you, make you pay like hell, you pauper."

"Your creativity with the mop is good, I’ll add five thousand to your bonus this month." Manager Hamilton’s words inspired the security, the rest imitated, using whatever they could, grabbing trash bags, small stools, dirty towels...

The few were driven out of The Sovereign, effectively placed on The Sovereign’s blacklist.

Timmy Monroe’s clear eyes blinked at Leon Keane: "Mommy, he and I look so alike! Maybe he really is my daddy!"

Ivana Monroe reached out, snatching Timmy Monroe from Leon Keane’s embrace, awkwardly blushing: "Mr. Kane, thank you for playing the part of Timmy’s father today, helping us mother and son out of trouble, thank you."

After expressing her gratitude, Ivana Monroe, holding Timmy Monroe, turned to leave: "Next time, don’t recognize just anyone as your daddy outside."

Timmy Monroe said innocently: "But he really looks like me."

Ivana Monroe: "Even if he looks like you, you can’t recognize him."

Manager Hamilton was dumbfounded, he really thought Timmy Monroe was their little prince.

Now it seemed they had been mistaken? Their president had... got it wrong?

Leon Keane, upon seeing Ivana Monroe’s exquisite face for a moment, felt a sense of familiarity; he hadn’t had time to think further before Ivana Monroe took his son away.

Leon Keane frowned deeply, strode after Ivana Monroe: "Give me my son."

Ivana Monroe stared wide-eyed at the man blocking her path.

This man enjoying playing Timmy’s father became addicted to it? Competing with her for her son?

If he weren’t the president of The Sovereign Hotel, she would think of him as a kidnapper.

Ivana Monroe tightly held Timmy Monroe, fearing Leon Keane would take him away.

"Mr. Kane, you’re The Sovereign’s president, wealthy beyond compare, if you want a son, just a word from you, many women in Ravenswood would gladly bear children for you. I only have Timmy, please show mercy, don’t take my son."

"I’m taking your son?" Leon Keane found it amusing, telling Timmy: "Ian, tell this woman who you belong to."
