Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 9: Mistaken for His Son
CHAPTER 9: CHAPTER 9: MISTAKEN FOR HIS SON
Timmy Monroe tilted his little head, his voice soft and sweet: "Uncle, although I really want a strong dad like you, Mommy disagrees, so I can’t do anything about it."
Timmy?
Leon Keane frowned: "Ian, what nonsense are you talking?"
Timmy Monroe suddenly grinned, adorably: "Uncle, you should chase my mommy! That way, I can become your son, and my mommy is very beautiful!"
Leon Keane: "..."
Ivana Monroe: "..."
Leon Keane took out his phone, furrowed his brows, unlocked the screen, and made a call.
Ivana Monroe lowered her head, wanting to leave.
Leon Keane reached out to block her: "Wait a moment."
The call connected.
"Special Assistant Stern, where are you? The old mansion? Ian came alone to The Sovereign, and you’re at the old mansion?" Leon Keane was furious, but in the blink of an eye, his anger dissipated, and he hung up the call.
He looked a bit awkwardly at Ivana Monroe: "Sorry, I made a mistake."
Ivana Monroe breathed a sigh of relief.
Leon Keane couldn’t help but look again at Timmy Monroe’s little face. It was so similar, so similar that even he, as the biological father, mistook him.
Ivana Monroe was about to leave, but he stopped her again.
"Timmy has a sizable bump on the back of his head; let me take you and your son to the hospital!"
"No need for the trouble, thank you. A taxi will be fine."
"It’s no trouble."
Leon Keane blocked her way, as if he wouldn’t let the mother and son leave unless she agreed.
This man was too domineering.
Ivana Monroe had no choice but to relent: "Alright! Then thank you, Mr. Kane."
*
Jean Shaw and Michelle Monroe, along with their group, were embarrassingly driven out.
Zachary Heston received a phone call; something had come up at the company, so he left first. It was so humiliating at The Sovereign, and he even got kicked once, he wasn’t in the mood to accompany Michelle Monroe to pick up the wedding dress.
"It’s all that bitch Ivana’s fault, ruining my wedding and causing us such embarrassment." Michelle Monroe’s eyes were red with anger.
"Is the child Ivana gave birth to really Leon Keane’s?" Caleb Monroe did not reprimand Ivana, a cunning glint flashed in his eyes.
Jean Shaw’s face turned pale; her Michelle was harmed so badly, and she was insulted with such harsh words by Leon Keane, yet the master didn’t show any concern. Instead, he asked about that bastard. What did the master want to do? Could it be he wanted to acknowledge that bastard?
She would never allow Ivana to bring that bastard back to compete with her Michelle for the inheritance.
"How is that possible?" Michelle Monroe’s voice was sharp. Jean Shaw gave her a head-shaking signal, and she controlled her emotions and continued: "Back then, my sister took me to a nightclub. I couldn’t persuade her, and after she got drunk, it was like she was on steroids, dancing a striptease in the dance floor. Ultimately, she was noticed and taken away by an ugly old thug. I wanted to stop it, but the thug threatened me, saying if I meddled any further, he’d strip me naked on the spot and throw me into the dance floor. I was so scared at the time, sobbing, sobbing..."
Jean Shaw held Michelle Monroe in her arms to comfort her: "Good child, it’s not your fault. It’s your sister’s own downfall that almost harmed you."
Michelle Monroe cried and said: "Later, my sister got pregnant. I saw her looking so happy. I didn’t dare tell mom and dad about this because I was afraid my sister would get hurt. But how could I have known that after the matter of her being pregnant with a bastard was exposed, brother Zachary would no longer want her? She blamed me for stealing her Zachary."
"Now, to take revenge on me, my sister had the bastard undergo plastic surgery to look like Leon Keane. Dad, by doing so, she wants to use Leon Keane against me and the Monroe family!"
Jean Shaw added fuel to the fire: "Ivana’s heart is too malicious. Caleb, think about it. If Ivana really was pregnant with Leon Keane’s child, would he let Ivana wander outside with his son for so many years? You saw Leon Keane’s reaction just now; he probably mistook that little bastard for the Kane family’s young master."
Caleb Monroe’s face turned ashen, believing the mother and daughter’s words, he gritted his teeth and said: "This vile girl’s heart is so malicious. I should have personally strangled her at birth."
