Sebastian's eyes widened in alarm as he barked sharply.

"Who are you? And where's the nurse who attended to us last night?"

Even as he spoke, his hand slipped under Sarah's pillow and retrieved a gun. He aimed it squarely at Sarah from a hidden angle, compelling her to silence while his gaze never left the nurse.

Sarah, who was about to scream for help, froze at the sight of the black pistol aimed at her. Her breath hitched and her gaze darted helplessly between the weapon and the nurse standing before her.

The nurse noticed the panic in Sarah's eyes but pretended not to. She already knew he was armed, thanks to the tiny audio bug planted in her ear.

Maintaining a calm facade, she kept her eyes on Sebastian and said sweetly,

"Do you mean Nurse Katherine?"

"I don't know her name," Sebastian snapped, his irritation spiking at her overly pleasant tone.

Something in his gut whispered that this woman wasn't a nurse at all. But then again, he'd been wrong before… or maybe he was losing his mind.

"Listen, Mr…?"

"George," Sebastian lied smoothly.

"Thank you, Mr George." The nurse forced a polite smile, one that barely hid her impatience. "Nurse Katherine's shift ended this morning. I'm her replacement and to be honest, I barely got any rest before rushing here to make sure I started on time. So, if you don't mind, I'd rather not get in trouble with management. I'll just take Miss…" She glanced down at the folder in her hands for formality's sake, even though she already knew the name was fake. "…Geraldine, right?"

"Yes," Sebastian muttered, tightening his grip on the gun.

"I just need to check Miss Geraldine's vitals and inspect her wounds before the doctor arrives."

"Alright," Sebastian said coldly. "But give me a moment alone with my wife. I need to speak to her first."

"Of course, sir. Please don't take too long. I'll check on the next patient in the meantime."

The nurse cast one last, meaningful glance at Sarah's terrified face before stepping out of the room.

"Something is not right," Sebastian muttered, hurrying to the door.

Tucking the gun into his waistband, he carefully locked the door before rejoining Sarah.

"That nurse looked suspicious. We have to leave. Now."

"Sebastian, please…" Sarah's voice trembled, tears filling her eyes. "You have to let me go. I'm not your wife and I'm in pain…"

"Yes, you are my wife," Sebastian growled, his gaze darting to the IV stand beside her. His fingers tightened around the metal pole, and his voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "I'll finish your treatment back home."

Sarah's eyes widened in horror, her pulse hammering. "What are you—"

Her words ended in a sharp, piercing cry as Sebastian ripped the IV from her arm and tore away every wire attached to her trembling body.

The monitors let out an ear-splitting shrill, but Sebastian didn't pause to see if the sound had alerted anyone. He ripped the punctured IV free, dabbed the wound and pressed cotton over it with brutal efficiency.

"No… get off me!" Sarah howled, too weak to fight.

Sebastian shrugged off her struggling and lifted her as if she weighed nothing. "Be quiet," he hissed, pressing the gun so close to her face she could feel its cold metal. "You will be as quiet as a mouse, or I'll blow your brains out and kill myself with it."

Tears streaked hot down Sarah's cheeks as she nodded in response.

"Good girl." He inhaled sharply, grabbed the door handle and shoved it open.

The hallway was empty as he hurried down it until a nurse in a pristine white uniform stepped from one of the rooms.

"Sir… what do you think you're..." She was saying when Sebastian pointed his gun at her with trembling hands, his eyes twitching.

"Get out of my way." He barked.

Another nurse appeared behind the first nurse followed by a broad, square-shouldered doctor who looked like he could clear a room with one look.

"All of you, get back, or I'll kill you." Sebastian waved the weapon wildly.

Sarah found a sliver of courage and screamed.

"Help me."

"Put the lady down." The hefty doctor said quietly, signalling the nurses back.

Sebastian's finger hovered over the trigger. He took a step toward the back exit, stopping briefly by the last ward before to tighten his hold on Sarah.

Just then, a sharp searing pain sliced through his right arm from behind drawing out a raw, surprised howl from the pit of his stomach.

At the same instant, the large doctor charged forward.

Sebastian fired reflexively at the doctor, the bullet hitting his chest. But thanks to the doctor's bulletproof vest, he was unharmed.

Also, while he was being distracted by the doctor, the door beside him was thrown open and a fist connected with his left jaw.

An object moving with lightning speed knocked the gun from his hand and the doctor, moving with the gentleness of someone used to handling the injured, wrenched Sarah free from Sebastian's grasp.

"No...." Sebastian screamed as a dagger flashed from behind, sinking its sharp blade into his left arm.

All this while Sarah's horrific scream tore through the corridor. She squeezed her eyes shut, not recognising any of the main rescuers.

Then heard that gentle familiar voice of someone she thought she would never see again. It trembled as he called her name.

"You're safe now," Michael breathed softly, his arms wrapped around her as though she were a fragile kitten.

"Michael…" Sarah's vision blurred with pain, relief and shock. Her fingers fumbled at his shirt pulling him closer as she whispered. "Henry… he's gone… but you came for me." Tears spilt as the lights slowly dimmed around her.

The last thing she registered before everything faded into darkness was Sebastian's ragged screaming and someone shouting, "Get him."

Sebastian ran like a hunted animal, blood trailing his path down the hospital stairwell. His heart hammered against his chest as if it would pop at any second. He slammed open a door to the third floor and stumbled into the corridor, panic propelling him further.

Then a voice sliced through his flight. "Going somewhere, punk?"

He froze his eyes widening in alarm as he met face to face with the devil. "No… it can't be."

Blaze stepped forward, flanked by Echo and Eugene, silhouettes in the harsh fluorescent light. Before Sebastian could form a word, another voice behind him cracked like a whip.

"You bastard, you are dead," Michael growled as he launched himself at Sebastian in a single brutal tackle.

They both hit the floor with a bone-jarring thud, with Michael on top, his fist rising and falling with hell-bent force.

Sebastian could only shriek in agony as Michael's blows rained down mercilessly.

Even after Sebastian went limp, Michael's fists didn't immediately stop until Blaze caught his arm mid-swing.

"That's enough, Mike." Blaze's voice was flat, as he held Michael back. He looked down at Sebastian's battered face, his eyes narrowing dangerously. "We need him alive. He has to pay for what he did to Henry."

Michael panted, his hands sticky with blood, his rage barely subdued.

Blaze signalled to his men and they carried the unconscious Sebastian to an isolated ward for treatment and to await his sealed fate.
