CHAPTER 751: CHAPTER 751: EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED

"How did you end up in Melbourne?"

In fact, Hannah Sinclair wanted to ask another question: how did Nora Northwood find the hospital?

There were no extra chairs in the room, so Nora could only stand by her bedside, looking at her lifeless appearance, then explained, "I was looking for my husband and discovered that you and he had appeared in the same place."

Could she think that I had something going on with her husband?

This thought flashed through Hannah Sinclair’s mind, but she quickly dismissed it.

Although their contact wasn’t that deep, she could tell that her cousin-in-law wasn’t the kind of person to do something so outrageous.

Just as Jasper Sinclair was pondering what topic to discuss next, Nora spoke again, "He brought you to Melbourne, right?"

"Yes."

Hannah spoke so softly that it was almost inaudible.

There was a neck brace on her, restricting her movements, and even speaking required careful effort.

"You went to Melbourne to rescue Peach Bell from the trafficker group, right?"

"Yes."

Nora asked, and Hannah answered word by word, but it didn’t affect anything.

"He has amnesia, did you know?"

Upon hearing the first half of the sentence, Hannah’s pupils suddenly dilated.

This time, she didn’t need to reply; Nora had already got the answer from her expression.

"He doesn’t recognize anyone now, so I need to know what happened during your time in Melbourne."

Hannah didn’t intend to hide anything from Nora. She slightly turned her neck and asked the caregiver to remove the plaster from her neck.

Freed from the constraints, her movements became much more flexible.

The head of the bed was raised considerably, making her position more comfortable.

"I’ll tell you."

The caregiver fetched a few plastic chairs for Nora, inviting the three of them to sit down in turn.

Hannah began to recount, interruptedly, the explosion that occurred half a month ago.

"Peach Bell was kidnapped by an intercontinental trafficker group. The person who abducted her must have targeted The Sinclair Group; their motives were very strong..."

Nora sat upright, her hands folded in her lap, listening intently.

By the time Hannah finished explaining the whole story, it was already dark outside.

Knowing they had been exposed, the trafficker group attempted to relocate Peach Bell. During the transfer, Jasper Sinclair seized the opportunity to board the yacht that was transporting the hostage.

The yacht was fitted with a self-destruct device that could be activated in critical situations.

By the time Jasper discovered this, it was too late to stop it. He could only escape with Peach Bell, and they successfully fled the yacht but were still impacted by the bomb explosion.

The reason they managed to escape was that Hannah stayed behind to cover them.

This was also why Hannah was so severely injured; when she stepped forward, she hadn’t left herself a way out.

She wanted to use her life to atone for the two lives of the Sinclair family’s first household, but, unfortunately, fate hadn’t granted her that; she survived anyhow.

And so, she clung to life for over half a month.

Having learned everything that had transpired, Nora was at a loss for what to feel at the moment.

Her blame towards Jasper sank heavily in her heart; after all, Peach Bell got involved because of the Sinclairs, drawing the trafficker group’s attention.
