CHAPTER 840: CHAPTER 840: FREQUENT BUSINESS TRIPS

While Nora was yawning repeatedly, Jasper Sinclair’s figure finally left the hospital room.

The latter was full of apologies, "Sorry for taking up so much of your time."

"It’s okay, I insisted on coming along. Peach... is she alright?"

"She’s already asleep, let’s go home."

"Alright."

Jasper took Nora’s hand and found that there was no warmth in her palm.

With the autumn equinox approaching, the weather was increasingly cold, especially with the temperature changes between morning and evening.

Jasper swiftly took off his coat and draped it over Nora’s shoulders, his movements smooth as if practiced countless times.

"Wear it, I’m not cold."

"You are."

Worried she might take the coat off, Jasper gathered it around her in front.

Fortunately, the hospital’s main entrance was not far from where the car was parked, and they soon returned to the car.

With a closer look, Nora saw the man’s nose was bright red, clearly chilled. She spoke up, "The weather’s getting colder, you shouldn’t do that next time, if you fall sick, I can’t handle it."

"You don’t need to."

Nora’s words turned prophetic, as Jasper showed symptoms of a cold the very next day.

This time, unlike before, he didn’t stubbornly refuse to take medicine.

He was well aware of how crucial his tasks were now, running between the hospital and Crimson Hill Villa, even heaven wouldn’t grant him time to rest.

To recover quickly, Jasper chose the most effective method, hanging two bottles of medicine at the hospital.

By that evening, he was full of vigor again.

Their relationship apparently wasn’t affected by Peach Bell’s situation.

Nora chose to turn a blind eye to Jasper’s occasional hospital visits.

And just when the latter thought he could pass a period of peace unscathed, an unexpected event occurred.

"I’m going on a business trip tomorrow, probably back in a week."

As VK officially entered the international market, Jasper was aware that recently, Nora would go on business trips every so often.

Initially, he thought Nora was deliberately avoiding him.

He had Louis Hayes investigate twice in secret, discovering VK was preparing for a research project.

Once sure Nora had no ulterior motives, Jasper let her go with ease.

Little did he know, everything was groundwork for her eventual departure.

A small suitcase was set by the doorway, easy to overlook.

As usual, Jasper said to her, "Remember to send me your return flight info, I’ll pick you up."

"Sure."

Everything seemed normal.

When the plane soared to ten thousand meters high, Nora still found it unbelievable.

Did she conceal her emotions too well, or did Jasper simply lack the intention to care for her?

This question lingered briefly in Nora’s mind for just three seconds before dissipating completely.

It wasn’t something she should be pondering; her ties with Jasper Sinclair seemed to end here.

The plane landed at Solara International Airport at four in the afternoon, which was midnight back home.

Solara’s temperature was several degrees higher than back home, providing a very comfortable environment.

Nora exited the airport, heading straight to Creston Park seven kilometers away. Her suitcase had been handled by the driver and sent to the hotel ahead of her.

She carried a joyful mood all the way, chaotic thoughts and a disheartening marriage were already cast behind her.
