Chapter 862: Missed Work Hours
CHAPTER 862: CHAPTER 862: MISSED WORK HOURS
Nora huffed, "Don’t mention last night, beast!"
She vaguely remembered how crazy Jasper was last night, trying repeatedly to shake her composure.
She heard a low laugh from above her head, "You missed me too, didn’t you?"
"Absolutely not," Nora denied, though her heart felt guilty.
She also remembered that she was the one who initiated the kiss.
"That’s not what you said last night."
Nora was silent for a while, then replied, "Words said in bed aren’t trustworthy."
The typical player logic, perfectly applied by her.
Jasper, unfazed and unconcerned, said something shockingly outrageous, "Then next time, let’s switch to the sofa."
"You scoundrel!"
"Calling me a scoundrel, or a beast, I don’t mind showing you right now."
As he spoke, a flurry of kisses landed on her earlobe.
Nora knew all too well that he could do what he said.
Like a slippery eel, she slid out of Jasper’s embrace, but before her feet could touch the ground, she was captured again.
Her waist was encircled from behind, and Nora, feeling helpless, admitted her fault, "I won’t say it again next time."
"Next time is next time, but what about this time?"
Nora ignored him, thinking she could pretend not to hear and escape the situation.
Soon, she got poked by a certain firmness unique to the man.
That scared her, and she quickly pleaded, "Jasper, we need to go to work."
"Does what you said last night still count?"
"It counts, it counts."
"What did you say? What did you promise?"
"I won’t sulk with you anymore."
Hearing this, Jasper nodded contentedly.
"Can you keep your promise to me?"
"I can."
"Helping me out, that’s enough."
Nora: "..."
And so, she was forced to let him do as he pleased for an entire morning.
By the time they were done, it was well past the time to go to work.
Nora, eyes red from being bullied, continuously scolded, "You don’t keep promises at all, I promised not to sulk, yet you still torment me!"
"Nora, this is a sign of my love for you, don’t you like it?"
"Such decadence, if this were ancient times, you’d definitely be a tyrant."
"Then what are you?"
Nora, speaking too quickly, ended up cursing herself along with him.
Unhappily, she pushed him away; this time, Jasper didn’t stop her.
"I need to go to the company, you can stay at home and stew!"
"It’s almost lunch break, even if you go now, there’s nothing to do. Why don’t you skip it today?"
"If I don’t go to the company, should I stay home and fool around with you?"
"That’s not out of the question."
Nora was so furious she couldn’t speak, turning toward the shower room, only to find a speckled white wall.
Only then did she realize they had slept in the guest room last night.
So, she changed direction.
Jasper closely followed, his mind racing—he had just managed to appease her and couldn’t mess it up again.
He watched Nora’s petite figure, following behind her, and said, "You wash up first, I’ll go downstairs and make lunch for you. There’s an auction in the afternoon, let’s go together, see if there’s anything you like, and I’ll get it for you, okay?"
"I don’t care!" Nora huffed.
"I care, I just like cooking for our Nora, and I want to take you shopping, buy whatever you want, okay?"
Jasper had accurately grasped a girl’s natural love for shopping.
