Chapter 889: Infiltrate the Sinclair Group as Soon as Possible
CHAPTER 889: CHAPTER 889: INFILTRATE THE SINCLAIR GROUP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
"Madam Chairman, pardon my abrupt call. Let me introduce myself; I’m Tina, the head of RAIL."
"Tina, hello," Nora Northwood greeted politely.
"Mr. Sinclair has arranged a private exhibition for you. The list has been sent to your chat box."
The screen was flooded with a dense list of brand names and logos.
Tina continued to explain, "This is just the first batch. There will be a second and a third, a total of thirty-five brands for your reference and selection."
"Has RAIL brought in new brands?"
Nora Northwood recalled that RAIL shouldn’t have so many luxurious brands.
"They are being flown in from elsewhere tonight."
"Okay."
"We have already selected a group of Asian models to showcase each brand. Of course, you can choose to go all-in."
Nora vaguely remembered that the last time she went all-in, it was because she casually told Elaine "not bad," and almost fifty haute couture pieces ended up gathering dust in The Caspian Villa.
In retrospect, she felt her extravagance was excessive.
She then replied, "No all-in this time." She asked, "What time does it start tomorrow?"
"It can be at ten o’clock. If you have other engagements, the time can be adjusted to your schedule."
"Delay it by half an hour."
"Understood."
Once again, Nora felt the joy of being wealthy.
Jasper Sinclair arrived at Crimson Hill Villa before her and was seated in the living room, handling some not-so-complicated business affairs.
Seeing her return, he immediately set aside his work laptop and got up to greet her.
Nora ran over in small steps and leapt into his arms.
"Jasper, it’s cold outside," she sniffed.
"Next time, wear more when you go out. Just right, you can pick some warm clothes tomorrow. Running so fast, without knowing how to take care of yourself, what if you trip?"
Nora noticed that ever since her pregnancy, Jasper Sinclair had become much more nagging.
Of course, she didn’t mind this side of him.
"The baby in my belly is not even a month old. A few steps won’t matter."
"It’s not about the baby. Your safety is more important."
As he spoke, Jasper ruffled her hair, making it a bit messy.
Compared to the warmth of the south side of town, the atmosphere on the north side was frozen stiff.
"How could you not know she’s pregnant? Fool!"
Rachel Woodward’s voice was cold.
Facing her, Jenson Sinclair’s expression was anything but pleasant. "The informants we planted at The Sinclair Residence didn’t know she was pregnant. Should I have installed surveillance on her?"
The two were both equally sullen.
After a long stalemate, Rachel said, "You must not let her have this child!"
Jenson seemed to ponder, then, with unusual certainty, said, "She won’t give birth to it."
"How can you be so sure?"
"I have my ways."
Though Jenson did not know about Nora’s pregnancy, the drugs he gave...
Now, with two lives at stake, not many can know.
He didn’t tell Rachel about his plan because if it leaked and failed, he wouldn’t be the only one to suffer; the entire second branch of the Sinclair Family would decline.
He had seen clearly Jasper Sinclair’s methods, as the rumors said, decisive and unhesitant.
He moved past the topic and brought up another, "Take advantage of the time before Jasper discovers you. Quickly infiltrate The Sinclair Group."
"I’ll do my part of the job well. You don’t need to worry."
"That’s for the best."
