Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk
Chapter 893: Visiting a Maternity and Baby Supermarket
CHAPTER 893: CHAPTER 893: VISITING A MATERNITY AND BABY SUPERMARKET
Jasper Sinclair looked at the petrified figure of Nora Northwood, reluctantly pulling her away.
"Nora, let’s switch to another hospital."
"I won’t switch."
Nora became increasingly agitated, and Jasper didn’t give her the chance to struggle, swiftly lifting her up and telling her with conviction, "I’ll contact the top doctors in the field. You don’t have to listen to his nonsense."
"Director Chapman is already the best obstetrician-gynecologist in the country!" Nora didn’t believe it.
"There are always better ones out there, ones you haven’t seen yet."
Jasper hurriedly bundled her into the car, instructing the driver to return to Crimson Hill Villa.
In the confined space, he held her shoulders tightly, forcing her to meet his gaze.
"Tell me, do you really want this child?"
Under Jasper’s intense stare, Nora reluctantly nodded, "But..."
"There’s no ’but.’ If you want it, we’ll have the baby."
"The word ’no’ has never existed in Jasper’s dictionary. With immense power and wealth that could last for generations, there’s nothing he couldn’t do if he set his mind to it."
The sky suddenly darkened as thick clouds obscured the only source of light.
Inexplicably, a sense of panic arose in Nora’s heart.
She clearly remembered the doctor telling her everything was fine when she found out she was pregnant.
How did everything change in just two weeks?
As their Bentley passed a large mother-and-baby store, Jasper instructed the driver, "Stop by the roadside."
As they got out of the car, Nora stared at the store’s entrance sign, lost in thought.
She resisted, "I don’t want to go in."
"We’re just going to take a look."
Jasper didn’t allow her to act impulsively, holding her waist and guiding her inside.
He thought that by seeing these cute little items, Nora would be determined to keep the baby.
This was their first child, and he wouldn’t allow any accidents to happen.
Just inside, neatly arranged were shelves with tiny shoes no bigger than a palm.
Under Jasper’s guidance, Nora walked further in.
As time passed by, her mood unexpectedly began to improve.
Nora started to rationalize herself.
Jasper had already reviewed all the prenatal reports first; since he insisted on keeping the baby, it meant things hadn’t reached an irreversible point.
With this thought, Nora’s heart started to race.
"Nora, let’s buy a baby chair to take home," Jasper’s voice interrupted her thoughts.
Nora looked in the direction of his pointing finger and saw a pink baby chair.
Then, glancing at her as-yet-unnoticeable belly, she couldn’t help but say, "It’s too early to start preparing baby items now."
"It’s not too early. Let’s pick out a nursery room when we get home."
With that, Jasper raised his hand, calling over a professional-looking sales clerk.
"Please wrap up the baby chair for me."
Just a second before the clerk started, Nora spoke up to stop them, "Wait a minute."
Jasper and the clerk both turned their attention to her, silently asking: Wait for what?
Nora said, "We don’t know the baby’s gender yet. What if it’s a boy when born?"
Jasper laughed out of nowhere, and Nora didn’t understand what was funny about it.
Only he knew that the burden hanging in his throat finally eased at that moment.
