Flirted Wrong, Married Right
Chapter 122: Stargazing
CHAPTER 122: CHAPTER 122: STARGAZING
Jasper Grant, who was listening on the side, stroked his chin and raised his hand in agreement: "I think it’s worth a try. Desperate times call for desperate measures."
After pondering for a moment, Evelyn Clayton nodded at the two of them: "Then let’s go to the amusement park. There are both exciting and relaxing activities there."
James Grant and Jasper Grant had no objections.
But to their surprise, the plan was aborted before it even started.
Office.
Yara Reagan looked warily at the three people standing in front of her desk.
Evelyn Clayton tried to persuade her: "James bought four amusement park tickets. I know you’ve been free lately, so let’s go relax together."
As soon as she finished speaking, Yara rejected the idea: "I’m not going."
"Why not?" Jasper Grant coaxed her, like a wolf in sheep’s clothing: "This is a benefit from your studio, you know! Doesn’t paid entertainment sound great, plus all expenses are covered!"
"And also..."
Evelyn Clayton struggled to recall the projects she had played long ago, describing each one as incredibly fun.
One was trying hard to persuade, while the other kept stubbornly shaking her head.
"I’m really not going, you guys find someone else."
It seemed like everything Evelyn said went in one ear and out the other. Her mouth was dry from talking.
Seeing Yara unmoved, Evelyn stepped aside: "Jasper, your turn!"
The "scholar" approach didn’t work, so let’s try the "soldier" approach.
Before Yara could react, Jasper Grant approached with a full smile.
Yara blinked.
Half an hour later, she stood at the amusement park entrance, held by Evelyn and Jasper, each grabbing one of her arms. At the entrance, James had been waiting for a while.
They checked the tickets, entered, and queued up for the rides. Evelyn packed Yara’s schedule so full that she had no time to react.
At first, Yara was like a prisoner undergoing torture, extremely tense, and occasionally wanting to run away.
But after playing three rides, Evelyn noticed Yara seemed to have unlocked her potential—
"Evelyn, let’s go bungee jumping!"
Yara’s eyes sparkled.
Evelyn took a step back as Yara stepped forward, shaking her hand: "Come on, come on, it’s really fun."
Listening to the screams that constantly arose around her, Evelyn shivered, pulled her hand away from Yara’s, and firmly refused: "I’m not going, if you want to go, go ahead."
Afraid Yara might feel lonely, Evelyn added: "If not, let Jasper accompany you."
Jasper, wide-eyed, hadn’t even had the chance to voice his protest before Yara dragged him away.
James quietly observed Evelyn’s reaction from the side, guessing she might be afraid of heights, and suggested: "There’s a science museum nearby, where you can stargaze. Want to go?"
Rarely having the chance for some alone time, James wouldn’t let it go to waste.
With nowhere else to go, Evelyn agreed.
The science museum was filled with high-tech gaming equipment. Evelyn looked around with interest as James led her onto a glass corridor.
The corridor was narrow and dimly lit, with only scattered bead lights gleaming with fluorescence.
"So beautiful... uh..."
Evelyn’s eyes widened, her pupils reflecting the suddenly enlarged face of the man.
His cool lips gently shifted and caressed, while the temperature of the skin beneath rose gradually.
Evelyn’s gaze was too intense, causing James’s movements to pause.
"Close your eyes."
The man’s voice was hoarse, his thumb restlessly brushed against the corner of her lips.
Their mouths opened and closed, exchanging warm breaths within a distance no wider than a fist.
