Flirted Wrong, Married Right
Chapter 546: Would She Still Leave You?
CHAPTER 546: CHAPTER 546: WOULD SHE STILL LEAVE YOU?
"What exactly do you want to say?"
Soren Foster lifted his eyelids, his expression heavy and gloomy.
"I can send you back to Summer Monroe. As long as I say I won’t pursue this matter anymore, Summer will probably let you stay by her side," Evelyn Clayton sneered coldly, "but I believe even if you go back now, you won’t be able to stay with her for long."
"You’ve already seen through this person, haven’t you?"
Evelyn got up, paced to Soren’s side, and pressed his shoulder with her hand.
"You’ve always thought of staying by Summer’s side, thinking that as long as you obey her enough and do things for her, she will definitely not abandon you. But you were wrong. The best way to keep someone by your side is not to do things for her, but to truly, make her yours."
Soren’s pupils constricted abruptly, his gaze fixed intently on Evelyn, "You mean—"
"She’s uncontrollable now because she has the backing of the Ford Family. As long as she’s the CEO of the Ford Group, you can never truly have her. But if she has nothing left, and only has you by her side, then it becomes much simpler."
Evelyn smiled smugly, "When she can only rely on you, do you think she would leave you?"
Soren’s lips trembled slightly, and Evelyn saw the struggle and deliberation in his eyes.
Evelyn smiled, patting Soren’s shoulder, "Think it over yourself. In the meantime, I can arrange a place for you to stay. You can reach out to me anytime once you’ve decided."
After saying that, Evelyn went out and found Rhys Jacobs.
Rhys looked worried and questioning but didn’t say anything for the moment.
"Find a highly private hotel and arrange for Soren to stay there first. Keep a close watch on him, it’s best to know who he’s contacting and meeting with. But don’t push him too hard," Evelyn glanced in the direction of Yara Reagan’s office, her voice lowered. "There’s no need to inform Yara about this."
Rhys showed a moment of confusion on his face.
Evelyn knew what he was puzzled about, and said softly, "Yara is impulsive. If she finds out, it’ll likely ruin things. Just do as I ask for now."
Upon hearing this, Rhys didn’t ask or think much more, nodded and left.
After Rhys took Soren away, Evelyn made a phone call to Franklin Ford.
Unexpectedly, the call was answered quite quickly.
"Sorry, I’ve been busy lately. There were issues at Gem, and I haven’t had time to focus," Franklin’s tone was smooth. "How’s it going over there?"
Evelyn didn’t want to dwell on this matter, just said, "If convenient, could you and Violet Ford meet me tonight?"
There was a pause on Franklin’s side, "Just the three of us?"
Evelyn spoke steadily, "Yes, just the three of us. It’s best if Yara doesn’t know about this."
"Can I ask why?" Franklin asked in a deep voice.
Evelyn glanced at the time, "I’ll tell you when we meet."
There was no further hesitation on the other end, and they agreed decisively.
After hanging up, Yara Reagan hurriedly came out of the office.
She had just finished her work, looked around, and realized Soren had already left.
"Where is he? Did you just let him go?" Yara was anxious, "At least make him clarify! Let’s bring up Lucy Carter’s issue, and find out why Julia Lawrence jumped off!"
Evelyn shook her head, "I’ve already arranged for someone to keep an eye on Soren. He’s useful for something else, and this issue can’t be resolved that easily."
