CHAPTER 575: CHAPTER 575: HER ILLEGITIMATE DAUGHTER

Summer Monroe stiffly withdrew her gaze.

"How dare I." Summer let out a light snort, retracting her gaze, "What identity do you have, and what do I have?"

Heather Donovan was startled upon hearing this and instinctively turned to stop Summer from speaking, but with Gregory Barnes present, she could only force a smile.

"Summer, watch your words." Heather chuckled dryly.

Summer looked coldly at Heather, then withdrew her gaze and continued tapping the light spots on her phone screen.

Gregory Barnes watched Summer, a faint smile flickering in his eyes.

He averted his gaze, his tone calm.

"Miss, your status, of course, is beyond my reach. You mustn’t belittle yourself; the blood flowing within you is noble from birth."

Summer’s hand paused slightly, her expressionless face turning towards Gregory.

Noticing Summer’s gaze, Gregory looked up and gave her a slight smile, saying nothing more.

"Then why..." Summer gritted her teeth slightly, unable to hold back, "I said I don’t want to go to that villa."

At least, she didn’t want to go there with Heather.

That place was his "secret base." Summer had only been there once, yet could never forget what happened inside.

Everything about it made her feel utterly disgusted, and she had no desire to see it a second time.

"Sir said that you are his child too. He spent quite a lot of effort raising you to this age, found you a healthy heart, and left you with a living mobile blood bank. You are the child he invested the most time and care in."

When Gregory said this, his demeanor was inexplicably gentle, but Summer only felt a chill watching him.

"He hopes to confidently entrust a part of his business into your hands, but you’re not yet grown enough to handle it all, and he’s very uneasy about that."

Summer closed her phone, controlling herself for a long time before stifling a cold laugh.

Towards that man, she felt both fear and dread.

The admiration and longing of childhood had now gradually become complex.

And contained an indescribable aversion.

But she couldn’t cut off from that man, just as he couldn’t cut off from her...

She was his illegitimate daughter.

The Bentley traveled through the night, exiting the highway, and finally entered the neighboring city of Eldridge.

The car didn’t head towards the city center but instead veered off the main road, driving towards the famous Autumnwind Villa in Eldridge.

The Autumnwind Villa is located at the foot of the well-known Southill in Eldridge, surrounded by what can be described as desolate wilderness. But because the villa is well-developed, the roads are almost all connected to it, so coming here isn’t that difficult.

As the car approached the mountains, the surrounding air grew cooler.

Even sitting inside the car, it could be felt.

Summer’s expression became increasingly grim.

Until the car neared a pathway, and suddenly everything ahead grew brighter, countless streetlights surrounding a grand gate, coming into view for Summer.

Her expression had reached a point of extreme discomfort.

The car drove through the gate, greeting the European-style main building of the Autumnwind Villa.

An old butler in a tailcoat was waiting there, a kind smile on his face.

The car came to a stop, and Gregory chuckled softly, "Miss, you may get out now."

Summer’s heart sank completely.

She got out of the car, and faced with the opulence in front of her, she felt the urge to escape.

The butler walked up to her to greet her.

"Miss, it’s been a long while. Sir has been waiting for you."
