CHAPTER 325: CHAPTER 325 - HALO WIND

Atlas exchanged a glance with Luna and Ember. Luna’s expression mirrored his own, slightly confused, maybe even guilty. She probably felt bad for pulling Atlas into this mess. But before the silence could linger, Ember let out a soft giggle between them.

"We won," she said lightly. "Let’s celebrate a little. At least now we know that the Fae girl’s fate will be much better on our side, right?"

Luna nodded gently, a small smile forming on her lips. "Without Atlas, that wouldn’t have been possible."

"It’s alright," Atlas replied quickly. "Most of the people under me usually follow my decisions without much debate. But you, Luna, you’re different. As another Lord in this alliance, you have the freedom to act on your own. And that’s helped me see things from a different perspective about how we should handle situations like this. Honestly, it’s been a positive influence on me."

Ember grinned. "You two really are opposites, huh?"

They all laughed softly after that, the tension slowly fading as they chatted casually while watching the auction continue. One by one, new items appeared, each selling for even more outrageous prices than before.

Still, after their last victory, Luna was officially out of the game. With her funds nearly depleted, barely thirty million left, she no longer had enough to bid on anything significant that could truly benefit her island needs.

After a while, someone knocked at the door behind them. When they were invited in, two people entered, a man and a woman. "Excuse me," the woman said in a very polite voice, "esteemed lords. We are here to deliver the items you have won."

Atlas gestured for them to come forward. The woman placed a wooden crate on the table and bowed politely. "This is the Heart of the Void," she said. "Please check the contents to confirm everything is in order."

Edrik rose, opened the crate, and nodded after a quick inspection.

The man then stepped forward and set down another package. Edrik checked it as well and confirmed that it was the blueprint Atlas had won. After that they left, only to return moments later carrying an item that had been won by Luna, though it was not hers.

A little while later they returned again, this time escorting a different person. The man stood before Atlas, Luna, and the others with someone beside him wearing a full robe. He spoke politely. "If you please, allow me to deliver this item as well, the Fae girl." He folded back the robe to reveal a girl in a pristine white dress. Her long green hair was tied in a ponytail.

The man continued, still very polite. He pointed to a slave collar around the girl’s neck. "This marks the slave binding. Please supply your mana signature here. She will receive punishment if she breaks your command. Please confirm once everything is as you require, and thank you."

Luna gave a small nod and then allowed the man to leave.

After the attendants left, the Fae girl remained standing there, her expression caught somewhere between blank and uncertain. She didn’t dare lift her gaze to meet anyone’s eyes, her posture small and tense.

"Hi, my name is Luna," Luna was the first to speak, her voice gentle. "And this is Ember. We also have Lord Atlas here, and his shadow, Edrik. Would you like to introduce yourself?"

The girl startled at the sound of her voice, then suddenly dropped to her knees.

"No, please. You can do that while standing," Luna said quickly.

The girl hesitated.

"Yes, it’s alright," Luna continued softly. "You can stand. Take it easy, we’re not forcing you to do anything. Can you do that for me?"

"Yes, Lady Luna," the girl finally replied in a delicate voice.

She slowly stood up, brushing her hands against her dress. "My name is Elyndra. I am a Fae... and... my level is 190."

"190?!" Ember muttered in disbelief.

Even Atlas raised his brows. Someone at that level had been captured and sold at an auction like this, attended mostly by Rank-2 and Rank-3 Lords?

Whoever had enslaved her must have been someone with far greater power and influence. Perhaps even a Lord of higher rank altogether.

"What about your class, Elyndra? And your elemental affinity?" Luna asked gently.

"Lady Luna," Elyndra answered softly, "I possess affinity with Air and Light elements."

Atlas froze for a moment, the word Light echoing in his mind. Light affinity?

Elyndra continued. "I have also advanced and trained in the composite element known as Halo Wind. A soothing, radiant breeze with divine properties."

Halo Wind? Atlas thought, his eyes narrowing slightly. He had never heard of that composite element before. A fusion of Air and Light...

"Halo Wind?" Ember echoed. "The name is pretty unique. I wonder what you can do with this composite element." She glanced at Edrik. "Mr. Know-Everything, explain this one in detail."

Edrik heard her and met her gaze with his usual flat look.

"Yes, Edrik, could you explain what you know," Atlas added.

Edrik gave a small bow before speaking. "Halo Wind is a composite element made by merging Air and Light. It stands for purity and motion, the sky’s freedom and the sacred glow of light. Those who use it can shape bright air currents that can heal and also destroy. It walks a thin line between calm and force. It is rare and hard to control. Only someone with a steady spirit and a clear heart can master it."

Atlas spoke softly. "That sounds like an incredible element," he murmured. "To heal... and to destroy?"

"My lord," Elyndra spoke up softly, and they all turned to her at once. "I am sorry if I am being rude..."

"It’s alright," Atlas replied. "Please, go ahead and explain."

Elyndra began explaining slowly, outlining that her abilities centered around four main abilities.

The first was Halo Breeze, a Support and Healing Skill. She could release a gentle current of luminous wind that spread through nearby allies, gradually restoring their health and mana while cleansing minor debuffs and negative effects.

So, her main role seemed to be support, at least at first glance. But that impression shifted the moment she described her second ability.

Her next skill was Radiant Tempest, an Offensive and Area Damage Skill. It created a high-speed vortex infused with holy light, dealing hybrid Air and Light damage. Especially effective against dark or corrupted entities.

Atlas blinked, surprised. Even her second ability was a direct counter to Dark element users. That was particularly striking, considering there were several Dark element users back on his island.

Elyndra continued to her third ability: Sanctified Barrier, a Defensive and Support Skill. It summoned a protective dome that reduced both ranged and magic damage while also having the potential to reflect certain projectile attacks.

And finally, her ultimate ability. Whisper of the Seraph, a Blessing Skill. Elyndra could channel the divine essence of Halo Wind, manifesting her radiant wings. In that state, she greatly enhanced her allies’ speed, regeneration, and attack accuracy.

In short, she could heal, deal damage, strengthen allies, and defend them.

A complete support, attacker, and protector, all in one. What a ridiculously perfect package.

Atlas and the others were left speechless after hearing Elyndra’s explanation. A Fae with Light Element affinity, and a rare composite element on top of that, at level 190.

Why would anyone be foolish enough to sell someone like her just for a mere eighty million UGD? Was it really as simple as needing funds that badly?

Luna smiled softly, then rose from her seat and walked toward the girl. She reached out and gently took Elyndra’s hands.

"Elyndra, you’re under our protection now, alright?" She paused, then chuckled lightly. "Well, maybe not protection exactly. Since your level is much higher than ours. So, I think we’ll actually be needing your help quite a lot in the future."

Elyndra blinked, her eyes softening as she bowed her head slightly. "Thank you, Lady Luna... for your kindness, and for welcoming me so warmly. I will never forget this."

Luna smiled warmly, then turned her gaze toward Atlas. "Atlas, come here."

"What?" he said, confused.

Before he could react, Ember grabbed his arm and tugged him up. "Come on, get up already," she said, half laughing.

Atlas sighed and walked over slowly, unsure what Luna was planning. But as soon as he stood in front of them, Luna took his right hand and placed it into Elyndra’s.

"Now, Atlas," Luna said gently, "I know she’ll be treated best if she stays with you at Gacha Haven." She turned to the Fae girl and added with a smile, "Elyndra, from now on, serve Atlas, alright? He’s a good Lord. You can trust him."

Atlas stared at her, caught completely off guard by her words.
