Forced to Be a Villain: Starting With My Brain Extraction System
Chapter 39: Mo Zhiran’s Hidden Sword Qi
CHAPTER 39: MO ZHIRAN’S HIDDEN SWORD QI
’Huǒyàn Physique is really strong. Even in a semi-awakened state, it can match Sword Qi without falling behind.’
Zhiran was also in the crowd.
Only, he wasn’t as clueless as the others. Even though both Tianyu and Liang Feng moved at incredible speed, it wasn’t fast enough to leave him in the dust.
He could clearly see and feel the clash between Sword Qi and Flame Qi above the arena, each trying to overpower the other.
He could also tell that both Tianyu and Liang Feng had already decided to fight with their Qi rather than engaging physically like the others.
Though they seemed carefree, they were also aware that any injury could be exploited. Naturally, they wouldn’t go all out this early.
’Tch...this physique will be quite annoying if it is awakened fully.’
But Zhiran’s attention wasn’t on that. Rather, he was paying attention to the Flame Qi of Tianyu. After all, he knew that Tianyu had Huǒyàn Physique, a Divine-rank Sun Body.
Although it was incomplete and unawakened, it was still something he couldn’t contend against.
’Fortunately, I got that Cloud Piercing Sword Technique. I still have a chance in this competition.’
Zhiran thought while clenching his fist slightly, sending a jolt of unconscious Qi outward in a flash directly below him.
The moment his sharp Qi touched the ground, it directly bored through it without resistance, boring deep into an unknown depth.
Just because the puncture was so tiny and Qi was so little, nobody noticed his actions in the crowd.
Otherwise, people would be shocked, as what Zhiran just used was actually Sword Qi, just like Liang Feng, and it was even stronger.
’Hmm? Did something happen?’
Only Su Ruyue, near him, who was busy recovering, felt the vibration and opened her eyes in confusion.
But she saw that there was nothing in front and thought it was just due to the fight in the arena, and closed her eyes once again.
With the help of the Rejuvenation Pill, which was middle-grade, she had already recovered a lot. By the time her turn arrived, she would be ready to fight again.
’This time, I will definitely win both matches and enter the inner sect. I-I can’t let him look down on me.’
Ruyue thought while clenching her fist in determination and glancing at the broad back of Zhiran in front.
To be honest, when Zhiran told her that he would definitely reach the top in this competition just outside the arena, she belatedly realized that in their trio, she had somehow suddenly become the weakest one.
After all, both Tianyu and Zhiran seemed sure of entering the inner sect, and their eyes were already fixated on the top.
But what about her? She didn’t even know if she would be able to enter the inner sect. If she couldn’t, wouldn’t her five years be wasted?
Wouldn’t she also be behind in this race to immortality, like Zhiran said?
If that were the case, what if she really could only become a concubine of Mo Zhiran in the future?
’Bah...what the hell am I thinking? Focus, Ruyue, focus.’
Su Ruyue suddenly shook her head, her cheek turning red all of a sudden at her own thoughts.
She felt that due to mingling with this pervert, her thoughts had also begun to get corrupted without her knowledge.
’Hmm? Why is she shaking her head?’
While Ruyue calmed herself down, closed her eyes, and focused on healing, Zhiran suddenly turned around and looked at her weirdly.
’Tch...Why is this girl’s behavior so random?’
After finding that nothing was wrong with her, Zhiran shook his head and focused ahead once again, just to see that Tianyu and Liang Feng had stopped their attack on each other.
"Mo Tianyu, how about we decide who is the winner in our next all-out attack?"
Liang Feng, who was caressing his trembling sword with care, shouted loudly to his opponent. Zhiran could clearly see that he wasn’t as calm as before, as in this confrontation, he was already lagging behind slightly.
"Heh... okay then. I also don’t have time to waste."
Tianyu was also happy to end the match and readied his spear for an all-out attack, just as Liang Feng said.
He also felt that he would need to expend too much energy to defeat Liang Feng if the match dragged on, which he didn’t want to do.
"Swoosh!"
As both of them agreed, Liang Feng and Tianyu’s faces turned serious as their Qi churned impressively, shifting the air around them.
Since this confrontation decided who won and who lost, both of them were equally serious.
"Flowing Wind Slash!"
"Blazing Inferno!"
It didn’t take long for them to prepare, as both of them wielded their weapons and released their Qi simultaneously towards each other.
"Bang!"
In an instant, a fiery flame that seemed able to burn the sky collided head-on with a vast, invisible yet sharp Sword Qi.
The shockwave spread out like a storm, shaking the arena as heat and cutting wind intertwined in midair, trying to devour each other.
Then, Zhiran saw that the blazing sky was suddenly pierced through the middle by the sharp Sword Qi with almost no difficulty.
It looked as if the Sword Qi had clearly won this confrontation.
Even the crowd and Liang Feng thought so.
’Liang Feng lost!’
Only Zhiran shook his head as he had already realized the outcome.
"Swoosh!"
Sure enough, although the Sword Qi managed to pierce through the blazing sky, it didn’t manage to cleave it cleanly.
Instead, just as it reached the middle, it suddenly stopped, unable to withstand the Flame Qi’s resistance.
"Haha... Liang Feng, you lost."
Seeing such a scene, Mo Tianyu suddenly laughed and clenched his fist, causing the entire blazing inferno to directly condense at the center. It was as if he was waiting for this moment all along.
"What?"
Then, to the surprise of the crowd, the blazing inferno that had been half-pierced and scattered suddenly converged in the middle, directly engulfing the Sword Qi as a whole. It didn’t even let it resist before the Sword Qi was completely eliminated.
It seemed that the moment the Sword Qi stopped in the middle, it had already lost this battle.
"Sigh... I admit defeat."
Liang Feng saw that he had lost his connection with his Sword Qi and admitted defeat with a sigh. He felt that he wouldn’t be able to defeat this guy unless he condensed Sword Intent. Only...
’How hard is it to condense Sword Intent?’
Liang Feng shook his head, jumped down from the arena, and left directly. He didn’t want to hear that mocking voice again.
[Second Arena, Mo Tianyu vs Liang Feng! Mo Tianyu wins!]
After Liang Feng left, only when Qui Ronghai announced the result did the crowd finally came to their senses.
"Whoa..."
"Damn, awesome!"
"Tianyu really won... see!"
Immediately, the crowd went wild, finding the match extremely entertaining. Especially the twist at the end was definitely to their liking.
To be honest, they didn’t care who won as long as they were entertained. After all, although they were unable to enter the inner sect, they were still capable of enjoying the show, right?
Honestly, they couldn’t help but want to watch this kind of fight again and again. Only, was that even possible?
"Hmm... cough..."
"Next match..."
[Third Arena, Mo Zhiran vs Wu Zhen!]
But the next unexpected announcement caught everyone by surprise. Not only them, even Zhiran was surprised by Elder Qui’s words.
’What? Why is it my turn already?’

A/N:
Dear readers, I know this fight has dragged on longer than it should have. To be honest, I’m still a bit of a rookie when it comes to writing fighting scenes, so I might have overdone it in some places.
Don’t worry, I’ll be wrapping up this small arc in the next few Chapters, promise.
Someone commented that the story is dragging and has unnecessary details. I completely agree and have realized these shortcomings myself.
From the next Chapter onward, I’ll try to keep the novel moving at a better pace while making sure each update is entertaining.
Btw, if you want a mass release of five Chapters tomorrow, please give me Golden tickets or Power Stones! It’s the weekend, and I might pump out even more if I’m motivated.
Thank you for your support!
