Chapter 54: If I Don’t Drive Him Crazy, I Lose (Third Update)
CHAPTER 54: CHAPTER 54: IF I DON’T DRIVE HIM CRAZY, I LOSE (THIRD UPDATE)
"Stella’s favorite restaurant ’Eclipse,’ her favorite lilies, were all tainted by your Lotus Spirit, you..."
Vivi Sterling blurted out, and Keegan Lindsey quickly covered her mouth.
Vivi Sterling was dragged out by two bodyguards, kicking, wishing she could kick his...
Oh dear, this kind of firepower could blow a big hole in the universe.
Once Vivi Sterling was taken out, the world suddenly fell silent!
Yet her words lingered in Aiden Fordham’s ears for a long time.
Her favorite restaurant was ’Eclipse,’ he had never gone there with her, but announced his relationship with Corinne Kensington there instead.
He just realized now... he owed her so much.
Even when she had a miscarriage, he didn’t show her any care, hoping that he could someday...
What was he thinking?
"Keegan!"
Aiden Fordham’s voice wasn’t loud, but it carried a penetrating force.
Keegan Lindsey almost immediately pushed the door open, walking quickly and steadily.
"Boss."
Aiden Fordham’s fingers unconsciously tapped the tabletop, making a soft [clatter] sound.
"Find someone to build a new restaurant immediately."
"It must be more upscale than ’Eclipse,’ money is not an issue, equipment, decor, chef team, all must be the best."
He paused, casting his gaze out the window, where there was nothing, but it seemed he could see something else.
"Make it the one and only top-notch restaurant in Meritopia."
The order came suddenly, but Keegan Lindsey showed a hint of surprise on his face, taking note seriously.
The boss wants to switch to the restaurant business?
There was almost an obsessive tone in Aiden Fordham’s voice.
"Around the restaurant, plant lilies everywhere. The kind that... has the most intense fragrance."
He seemed to recall something, his brow furrowing slightly, almost imperceptibly.
Keegan Lindsey quickly nodded in agreement, it seemed like the boss’s iron heart was showing signs of blooming.
Even though the method... seemed a bit excessive.
"Understood! And the restaurant’s name..."
Aiden Fordham scarcely hesitated, "It will be called... Reencounter!"
These two words came out, and even he felt as if something hit his heart.
Keegan Lindsey struggled to maintain professionalism, but couldn’t hide the glimmer of "I get it" in his eyes.
"Reencounter is good!"
He raised his thumb, his tone genuinely earnest, almost deliberately, "Meeting again, this name, tsk, has such a sense of meaning!"
Aiden Fordham raised his eyes, sweeping over coldly.
This guy... was definitely being sarcastic!
"Forget it. Then it will be... Stellaria!" He spoke again, this time with a slower pace, carrying a sense of undeniable decision.
Keegan Lindsey blinked in surprise, then revealed a satisfied expression.
"Stellaria? The name is good, understated yet meaningful!"
Keegan Lindsey raised his thumb once more, this time his praise was clearly more sincere.
Aiden Fordham didn’t reply, he fished out a cigarette, lit it, and took a deep drag.
The white smoke exhaled slowly, swirling in front of him, adding more gloom to his already expressionless face.
The smoke temporarily covered the turmoil inside his heart.
He didn’t know why he cared so much about the things she liked, or perhaps he just felt that as his former... woman, the wife of a tycoon, not even having a favorite restaurant to dine at was truly damn embarrassing!
He couldn’t afford to lose face like this either! Yes, that’s it!
As the smoke cleared slightly, his voice grew cold.
"All previous projects given to the Kensington Family, stop them immediately, retract them."
No room for negotiation.
He would no longer provide any shelter to the Kensington Family, especially if this matter was truly related to Mrs. Kensington.
Then he would also sever ties between Corinne Kensington and the Kensington Family!
"Yes!" Keegan Lindsey replied earnestly.
Melody Jewel is currently in Andy Lockwood’s hands, and he will surely investigate this truth himself.
However, he wouldn’t rely on others to avenge his own child’s grievances.
At this moment, Secretary Cole came knocking, saying President Lockwood had come for a visit.
With a look from Aiden Fordham, Secretary Cole immediately invited Andy Lockwood in, while Keegan Lindsey went out.
Aiden Fordham stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, turned around, his face expressionless.
"What wind blew President Lockwood here? Truly a rare guest."
His voice was calm, revealing no emotion.
"I thought with the summit approaching, President Lockwood would be too busy to even catch his breath."
Andy Lockwood couldn’t be bothered to beat around the bush, he stepped forward, his cold gaze directly locking onto Aiden Fordham.
"How is Stella’s injury? I want to see her."
His tone carried an undeniable force.
Aiden Fordham curled his lips slightly, just a hint of a curve.
"My wife is injured, I will naturally take care of her. No need for President Lockwood to worry."
He deliberately emphasized ’my wife,’ even though they were divorced, he wouldn’t allow another man to touch his woman.
Andy Lockwood’s face instantly darkened, like the sky before a storm.
"Aiden Fordham, do you have any dignity left?"
He spoke with a voice suppressed with anger.
"You and Stella have already signed the divorce agreement! Be a man and be dashing, give her freedom!"
"Don’t you dare eat from the bowl while eyeing the pot, isn’t that disgusting!"
Aiden Fordham slowly and leisurely adjusted his sleeve button, his actions elegant but his gaze cold.
"Disgusting. But still better than some hypocrites who covet other people’s wives. If I wanted, I could keep her tied to my side for life."
Aiden Fordham could not tolerate anyone else laying a finger on his wife.
He had plenty of ways to ensure he, for life, wouldn’t get... his own wife!
"You scoundrel!"
Andy Lockwood advanced a step, the distance between them suddenly shrinking, and the atmosphere becoming tense.
Keegan Lindsey walked in holding a cup of coffee, and seeing the hostile scene, he felt inexplicably panicked.
"President Lockwood, your coffee!"
Unexpectedly, Aiden Fordham calmly addressed Keegan, "My wife wants crab roe buns, have someone order them. Oh, and send a few sets of lingerie too, her foot’s injured and inconvenienced, and I have to go back this evening... to help her bathe!"
Help! Her! Bathe!
These four words were enough to shatter Keegan’s worldview and Andy’s expression!
Murder the heart, not the body!
Andy Lockwood couldn’t bear it any longer, and his accumulated rage erupted completely at that moment!
He swung a punch abruptly, and the force of it was fierce!
Bang! A dull thud echoed.
Aiden Fordham took the punch solidly, his head jerked to one side, and blood quickly oozed from the corner of his mouth.
He raised a hand, casually wiping away the blood with his thumb, pressing his tongue against the swollen side of his face.
Instead of pain, a cold smile crept onto his face.
"Since you want to fight, that’s just perfect!"
His deep voice carried a hint of imperceptible excitement.
He raised his hand, with no trace of panic, and pulled off his impeccably tied tie.
Two equally tall and imposing men, their eyes burning with anger like a wildfire.
The opulent office instantly transformed into a primal arena.
Going all out.
The clash of fists was their only exchange at this moment.
Keegan Lindsey was at a loss!
"Hey, you two bosses, stop fighting!"
Both of them were billionaires, able to shake the stock market with a mere finger, yet now battling over the same woman.
Where’s the dignity?
Suddenly, a stroke of genius hit him...
"Stop fighting, Madame is calling, President Fordham, Madame is calling!"
Upon hearing this shout, both men indeed ceased their fighting.
Keegan waved the phone toward Aiden Fordham.
Aiden’s hostility subsided instantly as he took the phone; on the other end, there was silence.
His eyes flickered slightly before suddenly speaking, "Alright, stay put, don’t move with that injured foot, wait for me to come back. Hmm... I miss you too!"
Keegan: "..."
Andy: "..."
Killing two birds with one stone!
Andy rushed forward, attempting to seize the phone, but Aiden casually pressed a button, tossing the phone onto the sofa.
Too late!!!
Keegan: Is there a chance that before my boss started his business, he was actually... an actor?
Absolutely, putting green onions in a pig’s nose... pretending to be an elephant!
As Andy listened to their phone content, a trace of disappointment crossed his face, and he bellowed:
"Aiden Fordham, you’d better return my person, or you’ll learn... the ultimate punishment!"
Aiden chuckled, "President Lockwood, how about a rematch another day? My wife is waiting for me for lunch, she’ll throw a tantrum if she doesn’t see me, not to mention she wants to cuddle me for a nap, she’s just too clingy, so forgive me for not staying today!"
Killing with words +3!
Andy glared at him fiercely, opened the door, and left!
Keegan watched Andy’s departing figure, filled with deep admiration for his own boss!
Indeed... two-faced!
Aiden tidied up his disheveled hair, "Back to the manor! Oh, and have someone send the crab roe buns and clothes over, including lingerie!"
Keegan: ...
(This time, I’ve nothing more to say in my heart!)
At noon, Aiden Fordham’s car drove into the manor.
The butler immediately came to greet him.
"Young master, you’re back! Lunch is ready, shall we start?"
Aiden nodded slightly, not halting his steps as he headed straight upstairs, carrying a sense of urgency.
Upon reaching the bedroom door on the second floor, he raised his hand and knocked.
Without waiting for a response, he pushed the door open and entered.
Stella Grant was sitting on a lounge chair on the balcony, covered with a thin blanket, and turned her head at the noise.
Upon seeing Aiden Fordham walk in, she clung to the chair’s armrest, struggling to stand up.
The movement was awkward, tugging at her injured ankle.
"Don’t move!"
Aiden, fearing she might fall, swiftly rushed to her side in a few steps, reaching out to support her.
When she noticed the bruise at the corner of his eye, her eyebrows twitched, "What... got hurt?"
Aiden leaned his handsome face close to hers, smirking coldly, "Feeling sorry? Why don’t you blow on it for me?"
"Get lost." Stella pushed him away with force.
Unexpectedly, Aiden, unsteady, fell back, and Stella, trying to "save" him, lunged forward.
Her face ended up between his legs... The firm sensation made her face flush instantly red.
It even burned all the way to her ears...
