From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon
Chapter 65: Everything is Falling Apart
CHAPTER 65: EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART
I look down at the girl before looking back up at Velia. "No. I left her for you to finish off." I respond while moving out of the way.
Velia doesn’t even hesitate before stabbing the sword through her heart, leaving just a bit of twitching before blood starts to form around her body.
I guess that means we’re finally done with this floor after all that... Kind of glad that it didn’t take any longer to handle these people since we are already running low on time.
"Shall we keep going?" Velia questions while sheathing her sword.
Taking one good look at Velia was enough to tell me that she’s definitely got quite a bit of wounds. How is she just shrugging it off so easily?
Cuts all throughout her body from what I could see and she was still holding up somehow.
Tap-Tap-Tap. I hear footsteps running towards us but there wasn’t anyone else here besides... "I knew you guys could do it! We can finally move onto the next floor." Mira says happily as she stops in front of us.
Mira. She doesn’t really do a whole lot when it comes to actual fights so how does she benefit us otherwise?
"Ughhh. I can’t believe you’re still here. We were already doing that." Velia responds with an irritated tone.
Rumble! Rumble!! Shake!!! The entire floor begins to shake all around us as if an earthquake is happening. Pieces of the walls also start to break and fall onto the ground around us.
I quickly looked around for any sort of door to the next floor and finally saw one in the distance, not that it would matter if this is the end of the tower.
"That way! Let’s go!" I shout while rushing towards the door.
Velia was probably feeling just as weak as me, even if she didn’t show it so this was going to take a bit of a toll as well. Having to use so much energy can be quite exhausting...
To think the tower is actually falling apart like this is quite baffling.
It is definitely baffling but change is something that can’t always be avoided no matter how hard we try. Mira did tell us that this would happen, she just didn’t know exactly when it would.
I don’t even know what to expect when we go through that door either so everything is kind of a gamble right now.
"I’ll get you both out of here once we get through the door!" Mira shouts while following behind us.
The worry about what would happen is now gone so now we just need to focus on getting through the door. It wasn’t that much further anyway so we can definitely get out of here in one piece.
Smash!!! I break through the door instead of trying to open it, on the other side it is completely made out of marble. Everything is a bright white marble like material.
Nothing was falling apart in here which is the strangest part about the whole room.
"I didn’t expect Master Akina to be appearing before us all of a sudden..." Mira says before kneeling down on the ground.
This was the first time that Mira actually changed her tone, could this be the person from the top of the tower? I didn’t think they would want to see us since we didn’t even make it to the top yet.
Wasn’t that the only way to get a chance to meet this being so that they can give us some sort of wish?
I scratch my head for a moment before looking over at Velia. She was also kneeling down on the ground as if this was some sort of royalty coming to speak with us.
I’m not going to kneel down on the ground for some random being just because of the power they possess. What kind of garbage is that?
"Rokuro you should also kneel." Mira suggests with a serious look in her eyes.
"I’m not kneeling for some being that sits at the top of a tower." I respond with a serious expression across my face.
Tch. It just reminds me of that laza guy or whatever the hell is full name was again. He was expecting us to treat him like some sort of God.
’admit you aren’t strong enough.’ like yeah right, I’m totally going to admit that to you scumbag. This is no different from that guy so I won’t be doing such a thing.
I’m sure she’ll be quite pleased to see you standing tall while the others kneel.
Well, I just don’t see the need for all that when the tower is in the middle of falling apart anyway. I’d rather not waste too much time kneeling on the ground when we need to get out of here.
This just reeks of stupidity and I’m not really one to indulge in such a thing in the first place. I’ve made a fair amount of stupid decisions in my life the way it is.
Fighting whisperspawns with no talent was a pretty dumb decision for me to make back then but I wouldn’t let someone die in my place either.
It has nothing to do with stupidity Rokuro, it’s about respecting someone.
So I should respect them because they have more power than me and could grant people wishes? Yeah, fuck that.
I’ve learned a lot in this tower so I think it’s about time we get the hell out of here instead of wasting more time. Ghost and Lilly are probably out there waiting for me so I don’t want to keep them waiting.
A woman enters the room, pink hair tied behind her back, wearing an all black suit with gold lining throughout her attire, pink eyes with some sort of strange spirals within her pupils, and a small smile on her face.
"So you are the dragon that has been tearing through my floors, how exciting to finally meet you." She says happily.
