Chapter 104: The Gathering of the Three Knights
CHAPTER 104: THE GATHERING OF THE THREE KNIGHTS
The man with the silver mask left the stage, carrying Sian in a princess hold, amidst a loud uproar. Everyone who witnessed the scene was utterly stunned.
Liang Zixuan let out a sigh of relief. Ever since Sian had fallen, he had been deeply worried about the talented young man.
Liang Zixuan had always cherished talent—and those who possessed it—so he didn’t want anything bad to happen to Sian.
Thankfully, the arrival of the handsome man in the silver mask had significantly improved Sian’s condition.
The crowd didn’t panic or fear the masked man, simply because they didn’t know who was beneath the mask—the true leader of the infamous terrorist organization, feared both locally and abroad.
The reason for this was rather simple.
True, the incident where terrorists had surrounded the forest and live-streamed it had shocked many. However, there were still rebellious teens who were drawn to such things.
Among them, the one who garnered the most attention and admiration from youth who idolized power and dominance was, of course, the leader in the silver mask.
Everything about him—his strength, charisma, and aura—was captivating. It even started a citywide trend in City B and beyond of wearing different masks.
That’s why, when a photo of the silver-masked man surfaced, the public didn’t react much. They simply thought he was a fan imitating the terrorist leader.
Of course, this didn’t include Lan Qisheng, who had immediately chased after the man upon seeing him carry Sian away.
In the long corridor, the masked man held Sian gently. The boy’s tears hadn’t yet dried on his lashes, his face buried in the man’s neck, his hand gripping the man’s shirt tightly. Even in sleep, it was clear—he didn’t feel safe.
[How did it come to this?] the masked man thought with a deep sigh, his heart heavy with worry and regret. [What did my strong Qing Gege go through in that world after I left? I fear it was much worse than I imagined].
"Stop right there."
A firm voice rang out, filled with unmistakable threat.
"Where do you think you’re taking my Sian? Put him down, now!"
Lan Qisheng’s voice was laced with madness and uncontrollable rage.
But that wasn’t the main concern. The main concern was that the man was clearly unhinged—he held a gun, aimed directly at the figure before him.
He Jinyun stared calmly at Lan Qisheng.
Although he had no intention of approaching his brother during this period, he never stopped monitoring Sian’s surroundings and the people close to him.
He knew this man had been protecting and supporting his Gege over the past few months.
A friend of his Gege was a friend of his, so He Jinyun didn’t want to pick a fight with this man.
In fact, he even gestured subtly for his men—who were ready to kill Lan Qisheng at any moment—to stand down.
"Lower your gun. We’re in a public place. My Gege needs to get to a doctor immediately, and I won’t tolerate any delay. We’ll talk later. You can come if you want—just stay out of the way," He Jinyun said, his voice expressionless, a biting chill leaking from his words.
He didn’t want trouble with the colonel—for his Gege’s sake and because of the man’s military status. But he also wouldn’t allow anything to jeopardize his brother’s health.
For Sian, he would not compromise. Not for anything.
"Your... Ge..ge?"
Lan Qisheng’s eyes wavered, shaken by the man’s words.
He couldn’t deny what the man said and what he saw—Sian had clearly reacted to this man’s presence.
He had clung to him like a lifeline.
But...
How was that possible? How could Sian be connected to someone this dangerous?
Yes, Lan Qisheng knew who this man was.
Unlike the oblivious public, he hadn’t been fooled.
He remembered well the man who had descended from the helicopter in the forest, the one who had applauded Sian’s performance. The man Sian had almost followed back then.
As Lan Qisheng was lost in his swirling thoughts, someone else stepped out from the corner of the corridor.
"Stop arguing. Sian’s condition is clearly getting worse. Let’s get him treated first, then we can talk about everything else," said Jiao Liangchen, placing a calming hand on Lan Qisheng’s shoulder.
He then turned to the man opposite him and asked, "Do you have a ride? Or should we use my car?"
"No. We’ll take mine. And we’re not going to a hospital. I’m taking my brother to a doctor I know. You can come, but don’t try anything clever—and keep your mouth shut, no matter what you see."
After that, He Jinyun no longer acknowledged them.
He adjusted Sian into a more comfortable position and continued forward.
The two men exchanged glances, a silent understanding passing between them.
Moments later, they fell into step beside each other, following him.
At first, when the man said they’d use his vehicle, neither Jiao Liangchen nor Lan Qisheng thought much of it. A ride? Wasn’t it just a car?
But when they saw him head straight for the elevator instead of the front door, suspicion began to bloom.
Still, they said nothing. Because in the masked man’s arms, Sian was trembling, crying, mumbling incomprehensibly, and shaking uncontrollably.
They were worried.
And clearly, so was the man with the silver mask. His expression had darkened, and his once golden eyes had lost all color.
No—literally. The gold had vanished, replaced by terrifying black spirals, deep and void-like.
When the two men gazed into them, they felt as if their very souls were being pulled in.
That alone was enough to render them speechless, unable to question or resist, all the way to the rooftop of the villa.
"Boss"
Several men in black uniforms greeted in perfect formation as if awaiting their king.
"Prepare the helicopter. We’re flying to City A."
Upon hearing their leader’s command, Carmel immediately knew where they were headed.
He recalled that deranged doctor and shuddered.
That monster terrified him.
Lan Qisheng and Jiao Liangchen were both shocked and speechless.
But no one spared them a glance, nor gave them time to recover.
He Jinyun boarded with Sian in his arms.
His men followed.
If it weren’t for the duo’s quick reflexes, the helicopter would have left them behind, mouths agape.
Thankfully, they managed to jump in at the last moment.
Though countless questions buzzed in their minds, it was clear what mattered most right now—the boy in the masked man’s arms, whose condition was worsening by the second.
