CHAPTER 125: THREATENING A SUCCUBI!

Why was she even in this mess in the first place.

’I-it’s my succubi side. Not me. Definitely not me at all.’

She clung to that excuse like a drowning woman to driftwood. If she’d been fully in control, none of that night would have happened.

Not a single second of it. The succubi bloodline was the real problem—overpowering, addictive, pushing her in directions she didn’t want to go.

’Yeah. That was it. Not me at all.’

Rae finally came to a stop beside her. He had grown from all the leveling, bulked up, filling more space than before.

He was now standing face to face with her mid-back.

But even then his eyes stayed glued to her enormous backside, the way it pushed out against the thin, simple tunic she wore, stretching the fabric just enough to make his throat tighten.

"Slurp~~"

He slurped his lips slowly, deliberately.

His tongue flicked over the corner of his mouth like a man tasting a secret. Of course she heard it. Felt it.

"Mmm~"

The weight of his burning gaze pressed into her back, and a faint shiver rolled down her spine, knocking her hips with the smallest, maddening jiggle.

Another sharp intake came from behind, hungrier this time.

’Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!’

She closed her eyes, nails dragging lightly across her collarbone as her heart hammered against her palm, the thump so loud she swore he could hear it.

"What I want, huh. Hmm... what do I want... I wonder..."

His breath rolled over the curve of her ass, hot and damp, soaking into the thin barrier of cloth.

Her cheeks clenched on instinct, muscles snapping tight like a sprung trap. One hand twitched at her side.

If she had turned her head even once, she would have caught the filthy sight—his face twisted, feral, drunk on lust, close enough to graze the crack, inhaling like her scent was medicine for every sickness he had ever known.

But thank god, she didn’t turn her head at all.

’Shit!’

The real problem was simple.

Any other man and she would have shattered every bone in the pervert’s body without pause, without thought.

But Rae was not any other man. That was the only reason he was still breathing.

When he did it, she didn’t feel repulsive at all. No, in fact, it was the complete opposite.

’Dammit!’

The thought shot through her head like a spark landing on dry grass.

Heat—familiar, stubborn heat—started to pool between her thighs, the kind that made her instinctively press her legs together.

She shifted slightly, rubbing her knees in small, restless motions.

Her breaths came a little deeper, a little slower, as if she was trying to calm herself, but it only made her heart pound harder.

"Aha! I know what I want!!!"

Rae suddenly said, clapping his hands with the kind of excitement you’d expect from someone who just discovered free dessert.

"Wh-what do you want??"

"I want to stay here until Alice comes back."

The words landed in her ears and instantly set her pulse racing again.

Lyra’s heartbeat went from fast to loud—so loud she swore he could hear it.

And then, from somewhere deep in her mind, something else stirred awake.

Something soft. Something dangerous. Something very pink.

"St-stay here??"

She repeated, the words almost catching in her throat.

She didn’t understand what exactly he meant.

She had no idea that Bryce had already kicked out Alex and the goblins, and that they were now happily occupying Rae’s tent like it was their new kingdom.

"Yes," he said, looking a bit annoyed. "My tent’s been seized by those stupid guys, so I need a place to stay..."

He quickly explained the whole thing—how it happened, why it happened, and how it left him standing at her door without warning.

Only after hearing it all did she finally understand the real reason he had suddenly barged into her room like that.

"That stupid husband of mine..."

She gnarled her teeth, her jaw clenching so hard it almost hurt.

Why did he have to kick out the others like that? What was he even thinking at that time?

This stupid goblin would have just stayed at Alice’s tent if not for him and wouldn’t have ended up barging into her tent like this when she was just trying to have some peace and keep herself away from trouble.

And if that had happened, she wouldn’t have had to face him at all.

No talking. No looking at him. No dealing with his nonsense.

But alas, nothing had gone the way she wanted.

Everything seemed to go against her wishes lately.

She let out a long sigh, pressing her fingers into her temple.

"Indeed, he’s a stupid husband. Not only am I gonna stay in his wife’s tent, I am also gonna taste... slurp..."

Rae didn’t even finish his words.

He just let out a slow, exaggerated slurp, making it obvious he was dragging it out on purpose.

He wanted her to hear every bit of it. Lyra’s mental fortitude, already hanging by a thin thread, snapped a little more.

She bit down on her lips and shook her head quickly, trying very hard not to let her imagination run wild or complete his chain of words in her own mind.

’Man, she’s shivering. He he he.’

Rae was of course laughing internally, enjoying himself far too much.

This was exactly what he wanted.

To keep teasing her, pushing her until she gave up completely and reacted.

The same exact thing he had done with Alice earlier.

"Taste... the camp food inside this warm tent... ha ha ha."

Rae finally completed the sentence, giving her only the implication and nothing outright filthy.

He didn’t even need to say it. Lyra perfectly understood what he was trying to get at, and that made it worse.

She didn’t turn to look at him, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing her reaction.

"Anyway, I won’t annoy you anymore until night..."

He clapped his hands again. The sound wasn’t even that loud, but it still felt like it echoed inside the tent.

Then, like before, he dragged his words, stretching them out without actually finishing the sentence right away.

She just closed her eyes.

It wasn’t because she was tired. It was because she had to focus just to stop herself from reacting to whatever stupid thing he was going to say next.

"...when I have to sleep that is. Good bye. And also, don’t forget to use your words accordingly, alright."

And just like that, he walked out of the tent. No hesitation. No looking back.

Only after his shadow disappeared completely did Lyra let out a long sigh. She didn’t even realize she had been holding it in until that moment.

She slowly squatted down, almost falling to her knees, and pressed a hand against her chest.

Her breathing came faster than normal, and she could hear the faint thud of her own heartbeat in her ears.

’Why am I even affected by this?’

He wasn’t touching her. He was just standing there and just... spoke to her. Casually. Like it was nothing.

And somehow, that made her feel a strange rush in her chest, something she never once felt in her life before.

Not even during her marriage, when things were supposed to be new and exciting.

"Wait a minute!!!"

Her head shot up. It was like a little bell rang inside her brain, followed by a whole bunch of alarms going off.

She replayed the conversation in her mind. Then she replayed all their past conversations, and something finally clicked.

"Did he just talk to me with full sentences???"

Her eyes widened even more. She had to be sure she wasn’t imagining it. But no... she was right.

This whole time, and even just now, he had spoken like a normal person.

Not like some strange goblin who only muttered chopped-up words.

Not like someone whose emotions had been sealed away by some heavy soul-binding magic.

No. This time, it was different.

"What the hell!!!"

This was huge. Not just big—monumental.

She clutched her hair, fingers digging into her scalp as if she could squeeze the panic out.

The idea that someone had broken out of Celeste’s spell was more than bad news—it was a rolling avalanche about to crush everything.

If one could break out, then others could follow. Not just one or two... but maybe dozens. Maybe the entire horde.

And if that happened, it wouldn’t just be a few rogue goblins running around—it would be chaos, an uprising, a bloody coup in the making.

Especially now. Especially when Celeste was already convinced the goblin king was alive.

"No, no, no!!"

She shot to her feet so fast her knees almost buckled. She needed to tell Celeste. Right now. No, she had to tell her.

Every second she stayed quiet was a second the situation spiraled deeper into disaster.

But then, like a knife slicing through her urgency, she remembered his last words.

’And also, don’t forget to use your words accordingly, alright.’
