From Ignored to Adored: The Heiress Melts the Self-Restrained Boss
Chapter 48: Wants a Kiss from His Wife
CHAPTER 48: CHAPTER 48: WANTS A KISS FROM HIS WIFE
Jessica Hart saw Caden Hawthorne and became even more flustered. She stammered, "President Hawthorne, I... I just..."
Immediately, Jessica Hart’s gaze shifted, and she quickly pointed at Vivian Lynch, accusingly saying, "President Hawthorne, you’re just in time, Vivian she..."
Caden Hawthorne interrupted her, sternly saying, "Jessica Hart, I’m warning you, leave in one minute. If I find you troubling Vivian again, don’t blame me for not warning you."
Upon hearing this, Jessica Hart was puzzled, "President Hawthorne, why are you always protecting this woman? She’s kept by a man in the underworld, pretending to be your wife. Don’t let her fool you."
His face darkened, coldly saying, "Jessica Hart, what nonsense are you talking about? Vivian is my wife, and I won’t let you tarnish her name."
"Exactly, does our Vivian need to pretend?" Stella Fletcher sneered, "Open your eyes and see clearly, the person President Hawthorne secretly married is none other than our Vivian, she’s the legitimate Mrs. Hawthorne."
Seeing Caden Hawthorne saying the same, her heart panicked, but she tried to remain calm, "President Hawthorne, Vivian Lynch is just an ordinary person, how could she possibly match up to you?"
"She doesn’t match, but do you?" Caden Hawthorne coldly stared at her.
Vivian stood silently by the side.
Jessica Hart’s heart sank, quickly saying, "President Hawthorne, I didn’t mean that."
Caden Hawthorne snorted, "My wife is not for you to judge. You better watch your mouth, or the consequences will be serious."
Seeing Caden’s cold gaze, Jessica Hart couldn’t help but recall the voice of the man when she was kidnapped, equally cold and bone-chilling, making her shiver.
No, that’s impossible, how could President Hawthorne be someone from the underworld?
"Vivian, let’s go." As soon as he finished speaking, Caden Hawthorne put his arm around Vivian Lynch in front of Jessica Hart.
Vivian smiled and nodded, "Okay."
Then, Caden Hawthorne wrapped his arm around Vivian and left the mall with Stella Fletcher and the others, while Bryan Coleman followed behind carrying their things.
Jessica Hart stood in place, watching their backs as they left, filled with jealousy and resentment.
"Damn Vivian Lynch, why are you so lucky?"
She couldn’t understand why someone as outstanding as Caden Hawthorne, a wealthy president, would be interested in an ordinary girl like Vivian Lynch.
Apart from having some looks, in what way was she better than herself?
Whenever Jessica thought about Vivian living better than her, she would stomp her feet in anger.
In the luxury car, Bryan Coleman drove up front, Stella Fletcher sat in the passenger seat, and Caden Hawthorne and Vivian Lynch sat in the back seat.
"Today was so enjoyable, seeing Jessica’s expression looking as if she’d eaten shit, it was so satisfying." Stella Fletcher sat in the front laughing continuously.
Vivian smiled faintly, couldn’t help but glance at Caden Hawthorne beside her, and couldn’t help but ask, "How did you know I was at the mall?"
Caden Hawthorne took out his phone, "Don’t forget, I have the location tracking on your phone."
Goodness, the man gave her a new phone just to find her anytime.
"President Hawthorne, you’re too good to Vivian!" Stella Fletcher envied, "Running all the way here to protect your wife, you’re just too handsome."
Facing Stella Fletcher’s praise, Caden simply smiled but kept his gaze on Vivian Lynch, seriously asking, "Am I handsome?"
At his words, Vivian blushed, "I didn’t expect you’d be so narcissistic."
"So tell me, how was I just now, was I handsome?" Caden raised an eyebrow, seemingly wanting to hear that answer from Vivian’s mouth.
"Handsome." After Vivian said the word, she quickly covered her face shyly.
Seeing Vivian’s shy demeanor, Caden’s lips curled up, his mood great, "Since your husband is so handsome, shouldn’t I get a reward?"
"What reward do you want?" Vivian asked softly.
Caden pointed to his face, looking at her with a devious look, earnestly saying, "I want a kiss from my wife."
Vivian’s face turned even redder. She shyly glanced at Caden, then at Stella sitting in front, sneaking smiles, and Bryan focused on driving, feeling a bit hesitant.
"There are still so many people here!"
Her voice was very soft, but both Stella and Bryan in the front heard it.
Bryan quickly said, "Well, Young Madam, you can consider us nonexistent."
Stella also smiled, "No worries, Vivian, we’ll turn our heads and won’t look, won’t look."
Caden looked at her with burning eyes, full of expectation, "What are you afraid of? We’re married, what’s wrong with a kiss?"
"Right, right, President Hawthorne is right, you continue, don’t worry about us," Bryan jested while driving, laughing openly.
Vivian’s face turned even redder, biting her lips, and finally, she mustered the courage and quickly kissed Caden’s face.
Vivian softly teased, "Is that enough now?"
"Not enough." Caden seemed unsatisfied, and in the next second, pointed to his lips.
Vivian’s eyes widened, her face red with shyness, "Don’t push your luck."
Caden persisted, his eyes filled with affection and mischief, "Wife, this isn’t pushing my luck, it’s the reward I deserve."
With that, Caden wrapped his arm around Vivian’s shoulder, his gaze becoming more intense.
Vivian looked at Caden’s expectant look, her heartbeat couldn’t help but speed up.
She hesitated for a moment, but eventually, under Caden’s passionate gaze, she gently kissed his lips.
The kiss was soft and brief, but it left Caden satisfied.
His mouth curled up, hugging Vivian tightly, and whispered in her ear, "Wife, you’re really sweet."
Vivian’s face was like a ripe apple, she gently pushed Caden, "Stop it."
Bryan, in the front, tried hard to pretend he didn’t see, but a knowing smile appeared on his face.
Stella teased with a laugh, "Oh my, this PDA is killing me with sweetness."
Vivian snuggled in Caden’s embrace, covering her face, "Oh my! How embarrassing!"
She wished she could find a hole to hide in, but Caden thoroughly enjoyed it, holding Vivian closely.
He silently vowed in his heart to protect her well, not letting her face any harm.
"By the way, Caden." Vivian suddenly remembered something, coming out from Caden’s embrace, asking seriously, "I didn’t do anything about the marriage certificate, I didn’t expect it to be exposed."
"No worries, mom posted it, let her be!" Caden seemed to not take this matter to heart.
Upon hearing this, Vivian frowned, "Our hidden marriage being exposed, won’t it affect you?"
Caden held her, gently patting her back, "Don’t worry about it, it’s fine, it’s good that it’s public, no more living in constant fear."
