Byung washed her body delicately; he could tell from a single touch that she hadn’t rested and whatever wound she must have had must have been within that journey.

He didn’t want her to think for now. Byung wanted her to feel safe because whatever she must have been through had changed her body language.

"I am sorry," Byung apologized and Maui was momentarily confused as to why he was apologizing because he had nothing to be sorry about.

"No, that isn’t what I’m apologizing for," Byung informed her, pausing momentarily as he reduced the pace in which he was scrubbing her back.

"I’m sorry you went through what you did..." Byung wasn’t apologizing because he was pitying her but because he knew this had put her on edge.

"I do not pity you, Maui nor do I feel sorry for you... But I want you to know, it is okay to be scared," Byung was gentle and Maui’s smile slowly faded.

"I know you were... And I won’t think you’re weaker just for admitting that. On the contrary, it takes a strong person to admit this, Maui," Byung was comforting her, each word rolling off his tongue smoothly and Maui could feel her eyes get blurry.

"Huh?" Maui wondered, her thought unsure of what was happening as she wiped her eyes and realized these were tears.

Byung’s words had gotten to her and for an orc who was taught strength above everything, being told this was something she didn’t know she needed to hear.

Before she knew it, a tear drop rolled down her face and another. Just like that, the faucet had been undone and she kept crying.

"That is it... Let it all out," Byung reassured her, rubbing her back as she sobbed violently.

There was no way not losing everything, which almost included her life, wouldn’t have any effect on her.

Maui didn’t know how to stop the tears from flowing and Byung kept washing her without saying another word.

"Thank you, master," Maui showed her gratitude but Byung chuckled upon hearing this.

"Tonight, I’m Byung," Byung responded with a smile as he resumed washing her.

Byung knew right away this was a good thing but it also showed Maui must have undying loyalty to him.

However, he knew this upgrade would be the last; he needed to find others to assimilate an innate aspect of their skills so he could evolve further.

If he upgraded his strength, there was no one that could come close to him in terms of strength. Byung would be unstoppable but what if something else arises that needed EXP?

He couldn’t use it carelessly and since there wasn’t a time limit for the upgrade, he could upgrade it should the situation call for it.

After all, strength-wise, he was on par with Drekk or even stronger according to these new stats without the upgrade.

He didn’t feel any stronger and realized the boost in combat points would only come into play if he upgraded his skill which made sense as he would be stronger than even Drekk.

The combat skill was his base strength but Byung was aware it granted peculiar boosts of its own to those stats.

"Say Byung, what do you think of me?" Maui questioned him. She needed to know what she was to him but Byung already knew this question was coming because he didn’t treat her like other goblins would have treated her.

"That is a strange question," Byung said, taking her hand and using a piece of cloth to damp her armpit.

"You are the one at fault so answer," Maui responded sternly and Byung forgot for a second this orc was still an orc at the end of the day.

"You could say you’re mine," Byung responded but she had no idea what this meant because it had a different definition depending on who was asked.

"What does that mean?" Maui questioned.

"You have never belonged to someone before?" Byung questioned. She was an older orc, much older than him so the thought she was yet to have a relationship was doubtful.

"The last person who said that to me tried to kill me," Maui said and Byung didn’t know if this was a warning but knew there was no point in overthinking it.

"Is that who tried to harm you?" Byung questioned and Maui paused for a second.

"That is right, Kragg tried to kill me alongside Borg," Maui informed him.

Byung knew the name Borg; this was the orc that Drekk fought but what could be the reason for her attempted assassination?

"How and why did they try to kill you?" Byung questioned. He had set the atmosphere for her to be vulnerable. She got here a lot quicker but this was proof the Stonehide knew shortcuts in the mountains that cut travel time significantly.

"Borg has poisoned the mind of Kragg but..." Maui paused. She had seen Kragg fight first-hand; this was why he was so desired by many.

There was no way she should have been able to escape with her weapon intact.

He was still in there somewhere, Borg hadn’t corrupted his entire mind.

"... But?" Byung asked upon realizing she was lost in thought and this seemed to bring her back.

"I think we need to kill Borg," Maui said coldly. By |Felt chills run down his spine because the look in her eyes had switched.

"Is he the one who did this?" Byung questioned and Maui nodded. She already knew it was Byung who would ultimately decide this.

"I will take his life with my own hands," Byung reassured her but Maui’s serious face suddenly broke as it was replaced with laughter.

"H-Hey! What is funny!?" Byung questioned, slightly embarrassed.

"You cannot kill Borg! He will obliterate you!" Maui kept on laughing.

"Geez, just go along with it," Byung muttered and Maui wrapped her arms around him, burying his face in her massive breasts.
