From Villain to Cherished: Counter My Role by Pampering Kids
Chapter 156 Holding Aunt Wen Yue’s Hand
CHAPTER 156: CHAPTER 156 HOLDING AUNT WEN YUE’S HAND
Su Xingwan was a bit surprised.
Aunt Wen Yue spoke again: "Xingwan, if I really am your sister, then you would be like me, a member of the Wen Family. I wouldn’t have to work so hard."
Su Xingwan looked down: "I don’t know either. It’s possible that we’re not blood sisters, just grew up together in the Su Family."
She remembered that in the novel, there were only the grandmother, the heroine, and the younger sister; it never mentioned who the parents were, so naturally, she didn’t know the background of the heroine’s parents.
And another point is, she never finished reading that novel.
So she really didn’t know what the plot was later on.
"Impossible!" Aunt Wen Yue said, "Everyone who sees us says we look alike."
Su Xingwan smiled, "Just because we look alike doesn’t necessarily mean we are blood sisters. Look at those celebrities, aren’t there two stars who resemble each other, yet they aren’t sisters?"
Aunt Wen Yue was silent: "You have a point."
"But I don’t care. Since you are my sister, whether or not we are blood-related, in my eyes, you’re a real sister. My grandfather was lonely his whole life, and he would certainly hope for more people to take care of him."
Su Xingwan voiced her doubts: "Doesn’t the Wen Family have any uncles, cousins, or others to fight over the inheritance?"
She knew quite well how the Lu Family fought viciously over that position.
Aunt Wen Yue shook her head and smiled: "The Wen Family does not. My grandfather’s mother built everything from scratch. She didn’t have many children, just treasured my grandfather as her only son. My grandfather went through a lot of hardship to make the family business what it is today. He only married my grandmother and she only had one daughter, who is my mother.
After my grandfather retired, my mother inherited the business and married my dad. However, later on, something happened to my mom, which led to her daughter being lost to the world. As for the specific situation, my grandfather didn’t tell me much."
Aunt Wen Yue continued in a whisper: "But I heard my grandfather mention something that it might have been due to a relationship dispute between my parents, otherwise, you and I wouldn’t have been out there for so many years."
Su Xingwan was shocked.
No wonder the Wen Family was so low-key in Beijing, yet held such a high status.
They didn’t have the kind of messy affairs like the Lu Family.
This was a lineage that always maintained a single line of succession.
Aunt Wen Yue chuckled: "I find it fascinating when my grandfather talks about my parents’ stories and those of our ancestors. The Wen Family is quite united and harmonious."
When Su Xingwan talked about the Wen Family, even though she had lost her memory, her eyes lit up as she spoke of the parents she had never met.
Even she found all things related to the Wen Family quite intriguing.
The three little ones tilted their heads watching Auntie and this auntie chat.
They sure talked for a long time.
When would they finish talking?
They were almost full from the snacks.
Su Xingwan and Aunt Wen Yue noticed the little ones.
"Are you bored?" Su Xingwan asked.
The little ones grinned and said, "A little."
Aunt Wen Yue laughed and said, "I’ve neglected you. How about I take you for a walk outside now?"
"Okay!" the little ones immediately responded.
Their bottoms were sore from sitting for too long.
Then, Aunt Wen Yue led them out the door to stroll around the garden, with Su Xingwan leisurely following beside them.
Little Su Hua held Auntie’s hand, but her gaze kept fixating on Aunt Wen Yue.
Su Xingwan tentatively asked, "Hua Bao, would you like to hold Aunt Wen Yue’s hand?"
Little Su Hua glanced at Auntie, somewhat hesitant.
At this moment, Little Su Luo ran over: "Auntie, I’ll go hold Aunt Wen Yue’s hand!"
With that, his little hand reached out and grasped two of Aunt Wen Yue’s fingers, showing a bright toothy grin.
Aunt Wen Yue’s heart was moved as she looked down at Little Su Luo.
Little Su Luo also watched the auntie, and being so close, sweetly exclaimed, "Aunt Wen Yue, you’re so pretty!"
The two little ones were like this now, young yet adept at complimenting, and had a keen eye for looks.
However, Little Su Hua was different from before. Ever since arriving here, and facing Aunt Wen Yue, she became shy and reserved.
But her gaze occasionally darted toward the auntie, filled with curious glimmers in her eyes.
Aunt Wen Yue noticed Little Su Hua too.
Every time she looked over, Little Su Hua would shyly bury her head in Su Xingwan’s arms.
She laughed, "She reminds me of myself when I was her age."
Su Xingwan smiled: "After all, she is your child."
Little Su Yan’s ears perked up immediately.
His calm gaze stole a glance at her.
Little Su Luo looked up at the auntie holding his hand: "Aunt Wen Yue, why haven’t we seen you before? When did you meet our auntie?"
Aunt Wen Yue heard that, glanced at Su Xingwan, and smiled: "Oh, I’ve known your auntie for a long time."
"How long is a long time?"
"Well, we’ve known each other since we were kids."
Little Su Luo showed a puzzled face: "Then why don’t we know about it?"
Little Su Yan: "Silly, you weren’t born yet."
As soon as he spoke, Aunt Wen Yue’s gaze shifted to Little Su Yan.
This child seemed a little different from other children.
Su Xingwan smiled: "These three are geniuses, especially Yanbao; he is truly a genius."
Aunt Wen Yue was amazed.
She never imagined she could have such outstanding children.
Though she’d been through a lot, seeing the three children she bore made her feel it was all worthwhile.
They admired the scenery while having a chat.
Su Xingwan said: "By the way, a few months ago, they filmed a drama, which has been airing these days. You should check it out, especially our Hua Bao’s acting; it was heart-wrenching."
Aunt Wen Yue was surprised: "Really? You’ll have to tell me the name of that drama."
"Sure."
At this moment, Mrs. Liu came over.
"Miss, lunch is ready, and Mr. Wen is already waiting for you in the dining room."
"Alright, I understand." Aunt Wen Yue said.
Then she looked at Su Xingwan: "Shall we go eat?"
Su Xingwan nodded and then led the little ones along.
When they arrived in the living room, it was very spacious.
Little Su Luo couldn’t help but say: "Auntie, their living room is several times bigger than ours!"
Su Xingwan ruffled his head and led him over: "Of course."
Mr. Wen’s gaze was on Su Xingwan and the three little ones beside her. He occasionally glanced at Su Xingwan and the shy child, Little Su Hua, in her arms.
The little girl’s disposition and appearance somewhat resembled their own granddaughter, Little Yue.
