David was downright furious. “That’s enough! Let her move them. Anything she has left in the team that belongs to her, let her take them all.

“I will take it that she has never been my student.” His icy gaze swept over Josie with outright disdain.

Josie gave an indifferent smile. “Thank you, Professor Lawson. I will check carefully and make sure I leave no trace of myself in the team, iso /ias not ito /ibe an eyesore to you.”

Even though he lost the bet, David still made himself out to be so righteous. He was truly selfish to the extreme and never missed a chance to burnish his own reputation.

The moment David gave his order, Josie’s group was able to enter unimpeded.

Josie scanned the shelves. “All those folders with redbels contain the materials I gathered. May I have everybody’s help to take them down?”

Everyone present followed her gaze. Shelving racks lined three walls from the floor to the ceiling, and about one–third of the shelves were upied by folders with redbels.

“She gathered so much material on her own?” Natalie found it hard to believe.

Jaden also thought it was itoo /iincredible.

“Josie, if you want to steal our materials, there’s no need to resort to such tactics. Prof may be magnanimous enough not to hold it against you, but we certainly won’t let you get away with it.

“Vincent, Gavin, and Natalie, all of you help me check. I don’t believe that all these folders with redbels are Josie’s stuff.” Jaden anxiously hurried to the shelving

    racks.

“Josie, just you wait. I’m going to expose your lies. That will teach you!”

Josie thought to herself smugly, ‘Dumb yet loves to show off. Oh, well, since you want to embarrass yourself, be my guest!‘

She then turned to Sean and the rest. “Sean, can you and the rest help me keep an eye on them so that they don’t try any dirty tricks?”

“Got it.” Adeline and herpanions rushed up to stand guard behind Gavin’s group, watching intently as they opened the folders.

Meanwhile, Josie went up to Natalie. “Since you don’t believe me, you can go ahead and check every document folder inside. However, I don’t trust you either, so every folder you open must be viewed by both of us at the same time.

“If both of us have not checked any folder concurrently, I will not entertain any disputes for that folder, regardless of its content.”

Natalie turned purple with rage. “You… What right do you have to doubt me? What aspect about me makes you think I am not trustworthy?”

Josie couldn’t help butugh. “Hah! You should ask what it is about you that is trustworthy.

“The full spectrum starting from giarism! Seriously, are you not aware of all the things you’ve done? Natalie Kinberg, don’t take others for fools. You may be able to fool an idiot like Jaden Monroe, but not me!

“From the day you crossed me, I was destined to be your nightmare. Just wait. Your troubles are only beginning. Let’s see what kind of wonderful life you will lead. Haha…”

Josie spoke in a low voice that was audible only to Natalie. To others, it appeared as though the two were engaged in a private chat and enjoying themselves since Josie was smiling away.

Only Natalie knew how Josie’s seemingly warm smile was sending chills down her spine. ‘No, that is impossible. Josie must be deliberately trying to bluff me!‘

How was it possible that a third of the materials in the top mentor’s archive were gathered by an undergraduate whose grades were the worst in the team? That was absolutely impossible. Natalie refused to believe it.

She was adamant that Josie was just trying to pull a fast one because she didn’t want anyone to find out that some of the materials were not gathered by her.

She believed that Josie wanted to take the opportunity to steal some stuff that did not belong to her. ‘This shameless woman has not given up on cytology at all. She is still trying every possible way to steal knowledge!‘ she fumed inwardly.
