Delh wore a serious expression and said, “Your proposal is worth pursuing. It will also serve as the first coborative experiment in our joint research.

“If sessful, we will be able to fully initiate the second phase of our study ahead of schedule.

Josie’s proposal received support. Without dy, following the summary meeting, members of both project teams went together to theboratory.

Shortly after they went to theboratory, the door of the adjacent meeting room also opened, and a group of people with somber expressions emerged.

David walked at the front, followed by several of his students.

After they had walked some distance, several senior researchers who had joined because of David’s reputation whispered together behind them.

One of them said, “Professor Lawson isn’t nearly as impressive as the rumors im.

“It’s been quite some time since the first phase of research ended, yet the methodology is still just a general overview. There is no way we can get any actual research results!”

Another person said, “The sess of his general idea is still uncertain. It is merely an idea and has not yet been validated. It is also unclear when it might be applied in experiments.”

Someone else said, “If this continues, how can the research progress?

“It appears we have overestimated him. In hindsight, it would have been more effective for us to conduct the preliminary research ourselves. This might have even elerated the overall

    progress.

As the researchers‘ints began to surface, Audrey’s gaze darkened.

She said, “The research has only just started. Why are you so negative with its future already? Whether Professor Lawson is impressive or not, let’s just wait and see.

“What’s wrong with giving a general introduction? It’s still better than not being able to provide anything at all!”

She threw out these words, turned, and went back to the office.

She thought, ‘It is fortunate Jeremy’s team has not yet reported any research progress. If they took the lead, I would really lose face.

‘This matter cannot be dyed. I must follow up with David again.’

If she continued to produce no achievements, her tenure as deputy director woulde to an

    end.

Audrey had just stood up when Kyle Langton knocked and entered.

He said, “Mrs. Kinberg, I heard that your meeting mentioned a research overview.

“I’ve put together some notes here that are somewhat simr to that overview. I’m not sure if they could help.”

He handed his notebook to Audrey. Audrey had not intended to pay him any attention, She merely cast a casual nce at his notebook.

She asked, “Where did you obtain these notes? Has this research methodology been experimentally validated? Is it feasible to implement?”

Kyle shook his head and said, “These are my previous lecture notes. I have conducted rted experiments while at school.

“However, this research methodology is something I have just organized and have not yet had the opportunity to test.”

“Follow me.” Audrey put away the notebook and gave him a brief, indifferent nce. It was impossible to tell whether she believed him or not.

Kyle, somewhat nervously, briefly gripped his fingers and strode to catch up with Audrey.

He came across this set of research methods by chance not long ago while organizing materials for Jeremy.

He believed that they were proposed by Joseph.

At that time, Jeremy withheld his signature from Joseph’s application form.

Over the past few days, Kyle had been observing the experiments conducted by Jeremy’s team. It appeared that their research methodology had been approved.

The researchers in Jeremy’s team were not as capable or well–known as those in Audrey’s

    team.

As long as Audrey’s team used this research methodology, Kyle believed that Audrey’s team would inevitably achieve research results ahead of Jeremy’s team.

At that time, he felt that no one would investigate the origin of this research methodology. As long as their research seeded, he would be regarded as the hero.

Kyle thought, ‘With this research method, I believe I will be able to join the team now.

‘As long as I am able to join the team, the day the team achieves research sess will also mark the day I can get a spot at the institute permanently!

With this idea in mind, Kyle happily followed Audrey to theboratory.

In theboratory, David looked at Gavin with a stern face.
