“How dare he!” Keh, enraged, turned to knock on the door, but was abruptly pulled back by Xander.
“Are you not ashamed yet?” Xander, tugging Keh, got into the car.
He said, “The Longley family is, after all, a distinguished medical family.
“How dare you mock Xandrov to his face? How many times have I told you to restrain your temper?”
“I just can’t stand it!” Keh was upset. “Please don’t worry. Now that you are director, no matter how powerful the Longley family is, they can’t do anything to you!
“Xandrov is even more of a fool. Without Lonnard, he would be nothing.
“After Lonnard retired, he found a pretext to run off to the research institute. Wasn’t it just to gild his own reputation?
“However, has he considered that if his researches to a standstill and he is unable to achieve any significant results, is it truly possible for him to remain there for a lifetime?”
Keh had been waiting for Xandrov to be kicked out. When that happened, the director’s position would be his.
A trace of impatience flickered in Xander’s eyes as he said, “Setting aside their research for now, I asked you to follow up with David.
“How is it going now? It’s already been two months, and there are still no results.”
Keh shook his head. ‘I heard there’s only a general outline so far, proposed by one of David’s students.
“I took a look. The content is pretty good. I guess we’ll hear some good news soon!‘
Xander closed his eyes slightly, concealing the calction that filled his eyes. He said, “Keep a close watch.
“Once there are results, don’t be stingy with resources. The higher David stands, the more beneficial it is for us.”
At the Longley family.
Delh put away the needle and said, “Afterwards, we won’t need toe so often.

“Two or three times a month will be enough. If you trust me, I can prescribe some herbal tonic for you.”
“I trust you. Just go ahead and do it.” Lonnard waved his hand. “Are you noting next time and just letting this girle by herself?”
Delh smiled and nodded. “I am thinking that.
“She has learned most of what she needs, and this simple technique shouldn’t be a problem for her. If you feelfortable, you can let her try.”
“Don’t worry. We should always give young people some opportunities. At my age, I don’t mind letting her try her hand.” Lonnard smiled kindly.
Josie pursed her lips and said, “Sir, I’m not using you for practice.
“I’ve practiced this needle technique thoroughly and am now quite skilled. I promise you won’t feel any pain!”
“Very good. Josie, you are truly remarkable. You are ready to set out on your own!” Lonnard took her hand and patted it, his face full of affection.
Josie turned around and hugged Delh’s arm. “That still will not do. I am far frompleting my training.”
“Don’t be cheeky. Stand up straight!” Delh raised her hand and tapped her on the forehead. “Take out your thesis and show it to him!”
Josie’s paper was still only an outline.
After discussing with Joseph and othersst night, the basic direction and outline were established, but she hasn’t had time to write it in detail yet.
“It’s still just an outline. I’m afraid it’s not ready to be shown.” Josie pursed her lips.
Nevertheless, she took out herptop, handwritten notebook, and the minutes from their discussion, all at once.
She was afraid that Delh would scold her for beingzy since it had been a day and she still hadn’t started writing.
Delh itook /iher meeting notes and asked, “After discussing with Joseph, have you decided to write separately ior /ito coborate on the writing?”
“We want tobine them.” Josie did not hesitate at all.
She said, “We conduct an integrated research project, although individual sub–projects differ,

the final oues are consistent.
“Rigorous data corrtion among the sub–projects is essential to support the overall research findings.”
Lonnard took the notebook from Delh.
He said, “Let me take a look.”
When Xandrov entered, Lonnard was reviewing Josie’s thesis outline.
Lonnard said, “Youngdy, this is not bad at all. Your reasoning is very clear. I think your thesis is going to cause a sensation!”
Delh smiled. “If Mr. Longley is willing to write a preface for her, it will certainly cause a
sensation.”
He chuckled. “So this is what you wanted! I can write the preface, but I can’t write it for free. I have a condition!”
Delh raised her eyebrow and said, “Sir, please feel free to speak.”
