Josie arrived at the research institute feeling at ease.

As she was about to enter the project team’s office, she saw David leading Gavin toward the director’s office.

David said, “This research methodology is highly worthy of promotion.

“Pleasepile the relevant materials and submit an application to the institute first, to facilitate the subsequent patent application.”

Gavin nodded and said, “Should we inform Kyle? After all, it was his suggestion.”

As the two walked away, Josie’s brow furrowed slightly. She thought. ‘What kind of research method could they be nning to patent?‘

Josie entered the office and said, “Joseph, how is the matter I reminded you aboutst time progressing?”

“It’s done. We’ll probably receive a response in a few days.” Joseph looked up from hisputer and nced at her.

He asked, “How is your thesis progressing? Do you require any assistance?”

Josie shook her head. “That’s not necessary. I’ll show it to you all once I’ve finished writing.”

Throughout the afternoon, the only sound in the office was the tapping of fingers on keyboards.

Josie was so absorbed in her writing that she did not notice the passage of time until the aroma of food reached her.

“You must be hungry. The cafeteria has pulled pork today, so I got you a portion just for you. Eat up. Make sure you’re full before you get back to writing!” Adeline pushed the meal in front of her while smiling.

Josie looked grateful. “Thank you, Adeline. You are a lifesaver!”

She was about to starve to death.

Adeline pulled a chair over and sat down next to her before saying, “I am not that great Let me ask you something.

“Do you think Professor Wilcourt would agree if we asked him to write a preface for our paper?”

“Why would he disagree? Isn’t he your teacher now?” Josie was somewhat confused.

She remembered that Joseph hadpleted his research institute internship under Jeremy.

He and several members of his team had been assigned to Jeremy’s team.

Once Joseph’s thesis waspleted, it was only natural for Jeremy to be asked to write the preface.

In fact, the preface for her thesis was originally intended to be written by Delh.

Having Lonnard write the preface for her felt simply unreal.

Adeline wore an amused expression, knowing that questioning Josie would be futile since she regarded interpersonal rtionships as too simple.

Adeline said, “Although our research has achieved some modest results, no one can predict what will happen next.

“Professor Wilcourt signed for our project, not for us as individuals, which makes me somewhat concerned.”

“Adeline, you are oveplicating the issue. As far as I know, if he did not think highly of you guys, he would never have agreed to let you join the team.” Josie gestured for her to rx.

She continued, “Focus wholeheartedly on your research and try not to be distracted by other

“As long as we act with a clear conscience, everything that is meant to happen wille to pass. Rest assured, Professor Wilcourt would not scheme against you.”

Adeline pursed her lips and said, “We’ve been here for almost a month, and we still haven’tpleted the formal onboarding procedures.

“Our current status is actually quite awkward!”

Josie furrowed her brows. She had not expected that the research institute had yet to arrange internship onboarding for everyone.

She thought, ‘Is it an oversight on Jeremy’s part, or is someone deliberately interfering?”

    She stood up: “I’ll

    go ask!”

Josie was different from the others. Her internship appointment was with Aloville Traditional Medicine Hospital, which was unrted to the research institute.

Seeing her stand up and prepare to rush out, Adeline hurriedly wanted to stop her.

However, it was already toote. Josie had pulled open the door in one swift motion.

However, she ultimately failed to rush out, as someone outside the door blocked her way.

“Why is it you?” Hadley Rogers frowned, displeased.

She asked, “Where are Joseph and the others? Have them collect the temporary work badges ande to my office to exchange them for official internship badges.
